Preston Ward Condra Ranks All 31 Super Smash Bros Brawl Stages

Another Smash Bros project I made, where I ranked all 31 stages from Super Smash Bros Brawl. The unlockable past N64 and Melee stages will not be a part of this publication. I initially did this project, back in December 2008, during the mundane two week break from school. I don't know why I wrote all this down but, alas I did anyway. Enjoy reading it.

23. 10 - Green Hill Zone

We are now at the Top 10 in the countdown as these Top 10 stages are the best of the best stages in Brawl. Coming in at #10 is Sonic's home stage, Green Hill Zone.

The animation for Green Hill Zone is solidly well done. The 16-bit wise loop, hill and ocean background in the stage, matches the Sonic series very well looking just like the Hedgehog's 16-bit glory days in the series.

Gameplay wise, Green Hill Zone is a very fun stage to enjoy and fight on in Brawl. Green Hill Zone is stage with well balanced gameplay with the only gameplay hazard being the breakable platform in the center of the stage. Luckily, this can easily be dodged and avoided and due to the stage being fairly big, it gives players a chance to fight somewhere else on the stage before while the stage platform turns back to normal. No matter who you are, the gameplay at times, can get to be extremely enjoyable in Green Hill Zone.

The only problem I had with for Green Hill Zone is that for some people, the music in the stage, is a mixed bag. Green Hill Zone music has Love it or Hate it music. The music ranges from classic 90' s Sonic series Sega Genesis remasters tracks to recent rock vocal music from the recent Sonic games released as of today. The music I am saying ISN'T BAD but, the music in GHZ will not appeal to everybody out there compared to other soundtrack music songs out there for others stages in Brawl.

Overall, I rank Green Hill Zone to be a very fun stage to enjoy on for you and your friends in Brawl. Might not have the best music out there but remember, gameplay comes first more then music and in gameplay wise, Green Hill Zone does not disappoint.
