Walter smiled as he pulled up in front of the Garage. And why shouldn't he smile? He was taking the pretty little lady from the diner to dinner and a movie tomorrow night. Walter grinned seeing the black SUV of Cabe's there. Maybe he'd get the chance to have some fun.

As he stepped inside the atmosphere seemed to flip from warm and open to cold and dreadful instantly. Anthony looked up hearing the door open and he grinned.

"Uncle Walter!" Anthony said instantly and jumped up from where he played next to his Mom's desk and ran full tilt to him.

Walter grinned. It always warmed his heart that his nephew worshiped him. And why not, he was worthy of being worshiped. He scooped Anthony up and hugged him tightly.

"How's my favorite nephew?" Walter asked as he kissed his cheek.

"I'm your only nephew." Anthony reminded him with a laugh.

"That has nothing to do with it." Walter teased.

"Just great, just what we need while working. A psychopath to visit." Toby said from the couch.

Walter's head swiveled to look at Toby and the normal fire that burned in his eyes was cold and menacing as he looked at Toby.

"You know, if I really was a psychopath as you love to say, wouldn't irritating me be a stupid thing to do? Oh I forget, with your IQ you practically are stupid." Walter laughed.

"Remember Anthony, you don't ever want to be stupid like Toby." Walter sat Anthony down as he smiled at his sister and then stepped over to where Happy watched him wearily.

"So Happy, you haven't called lately. Should I be jealous?" Walter asked with that sexy voice of his.

Happy felt her insides melt at the heat of his stare, the sound of his voice in her ears.

"Please stop." Happy whispered as she blushed and looked down at her workbench.

"Don't look away from me." Walter said sternly but quietly.

Happy bit her lower lip but looked up and the heat of his eyes had changed, it wasn't sexual now it was anger and she feared that look.

"What do you expect? You really hurt me last time." Happy whimpered quietly as she wished his sister or Mark would intervene quickly.

"I expect you to remember all the great times we've shared. All the love we've experienced together. I might have grown bored with you as a constant companion, but you are far from boring. And I relish those times. We'll need to get together soon. Maybe tonight and maybe this weekend. We'll see how my date goes tomorrow." Walter grinned as Happy swallowed. She had watched as that fire grew sexual again.

"Please Walt, just forget about me. You have so many other things to occupy you. Let me go, let me live my life." Happy whispered. She knew pleading only amplified his twisted desires but she had nothing else to try and break free.

"You know we both have eidetic memories, Happy. We can't forget. And even if we could, I have all that video. We should get together and watch it again, just to make sure we remember it like we think we do." Walter said before kissing her.

Happy shuddered as much from fear as desire.

"Walter." Megan said as she stood up and got on the scooter.

Walter sighed.

"Well it looks like we'll have to table this conversation." Walter winked and turned to smile at Megan. "My sweet sister. How are you doing?" Walter asked as he met her half way.

"Good days and bad. What brings you to the Garage?" Megan asked as they shared a brief hug.

"You silly, and my nephew of course. Not to mention my brother." Walter smiled.

"Walter." Mark said neutrally as he walked over from his desk.

"Mark, good old Mark. How are you brother? How is your research going?" Walter asked as his brow rose.

"Badly. We got interrupted with a case. And unfortunately it is a little sensitive." Mark told him as he shook Walter's hand.

"Yes, that means you need to leave." Cabe said as he walked out of the kitchen.

"Hey Cabe. Blow up any villages lately?" Walter asked.

Cabe blanched at his words.

"I've never blown up any villages." Cabe said.

"Oh yeah, it was the capital of a country you blew up. How silly of me to forget." Walter said.

"Son, I didn't know that was what they were going to do. It was supposed to be for humanitarian relief." Cabe bit back.

"Yeah? But you could have told me the truth three days before the bombing couldn't you? But no, let's just let it happen. Over 1500 people lost their lives that day because of you." Walter spat. "Not to mention all the ones that suffered and died in the days after."

"Walter, you know he didn't tell you so you wouldn't have stopped them. It would have been treason for him to tell you, you'd have gone to prison, never have been allowed to leave Ireland. Probably never be allowed to use computers again." Megan told him.

"But, over 1500 people would be alive wouldn't they? And as I disabled the software I could have leaked the story of what they were going to do to the world. You think a court would have convicted Cabe for treason then? You think they would have imprisoned me then? Taken computers away from me? And even if they did, what's that compared to all those lives lost, all those who have suffered needlessly. Hell, they could have just told me the truth of what they wanted. I could have written them code to plant the warhead up the guy's arse for them. But no, they hid the truth." Walter ranted.

"Walter, we've been over this hundreds of times." Mark reminded him.

"I know that!" Walter snapped and then took in a deep breath. "Look, I didn't come here for a fight or rehash stuff. May I at least spend a few minutes with my family? Is that really so much to ask?"

"You are always welcomed here Walter. But you know during business hours it is likely Cabe will be here." Mark told him.

"I know, but I wasn't the one that came out here and stuck his nose in someone else's business. I would have been happy going up to the Loft with my sister and talking for a little bit." Walter told him.

"Fine Walter, you two go have a nice catch up then." Mark gestured towards the ramp.

"Walter, why do you antagonize Cabe?" Megan asked as they sat down in the living room.

"Hey, he came to me deirfiúr, I just came to visit with you." Walter told her.

Megan sighed.

"So how have you been deartháir?" Megan asked.

"Actually, I met a really special woman a number of weeks ago. We're going to have our first date tomorrow night." Walter grinned.

Megan smiled.

"Wait, you've waited weeks? That's a surprise. I'm so glad to hear that Walter. I really hope this works out for you. Will you be leaving Happy alone then?" Megan asked pointedly.

"Ouch. If I wanted abuse I could go back down to Cabe." Walter told her seriously.

"Why do you keep tormenting Happy?" Megan asked.

"How am I tormenting her? We had a really good thing going." Walter shrugged. "She's cute as hell, has a killer body and knows how to use it. She's got a great mind too."

"Then why did you dump her?" Megan asked even though she blushed at his description.

"I didn't dump her. She wanted monogamy, so I let her experience it from time to time." Walter explained.

"Walter, I'm your sister, I know you, I know the truth. You've dumped every girl you've ever dated since you started dating." Megan reminded him.

"Now see, you are confused. I've never dumped any of my girls." Walter told her.

"Does the name Florence Tipton ring any bells?" Megan asked.

"You know she was my first girlfriend after I tested out of college. And she dumped me." Walter sniffed.

"Walter, you drove that poor woman insane with your antics. She's still locked up from what you did to her." Megan said sternly.

"Wait, what are you accusing me of doing to her? You heard what she was doing. She was stalking me, constantly calling and demanding to know where I was or what I was doing and why I hadn't been around. And that was after she left that horrible message dumping me. The judge agreed she was completely unstable." Walter complained.

Megan rolled her eyes.

"What about Linda?" Megan asked.

"Ugh, don't bring her up. I almost swore off normals after her." Walter shuddered.

"Fine, be that way Walter. So tell me about this lady you met." Megan sighed.

Walter smiled as he thought of Paige.

"She's actually a normal person." Walter smiled.

Megan frowned.

"Except for Linda, you have never hung around with or dated anyone without at least a 150 IQ Walter, what are you doing?" Megan demanded.

"First, I've dated other women who weren't of genius level IQ. But I'm not doing anything. Other than having met this really amazing woman, I want to take her out and spend time with her." Walter said defensively.

"What does she do for a living?" Megan asked.

"She's a waitress at this diner I happened to go to one day, her name is Paige Dineen." Walter explained.

"Paige Dineen? That name sounds familiar to me." Megan frowned.

After about an hour Walter walked back down with Megan riding her scooter.

"Well I guess I'm going to get out of here." Walter said as he reached the bottom of the ramp and turned to walk to the door.

"We'll say hi to Roger Thomas for you." Cabe called out as he reached the halfway point.

Walter spun around and looked at Cabe.

"Is that name supposed to mean anything to me? Is he a cousin of Dave?" Walter asked.

"Who is Dave?" Cabe frowned.

"Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy's fast food burgers." Toby chipped in.

"Cabe, let it go." Mark told him.

"You know damn good and well who he is." Cabe ignored Mark.

"Poor Cabe. Are you getting senile in your old age? Aren't people still considered innocent until proven guilty in this country?" Walter asked.

Mark's hand landed on Cabe's shoulder just before he said anything and Cabe just nodded. Walter watched him for a moment and then turned and walked on towards the exit.

"Yeah, leave before I make you." Cabe's partner said as he came back to the front of the Garage.

Walter spun around and started walking back towards him.

"I'm sorry, I was way over there, did you need something?" Walter asked.

"You're nothing but a degenerate sleaze bucket." The agent told him.

"Cabe, I'd suggest you get your pet here under control. After all, karma can be a real bitch and you never know when it will catch up to you." Walter told them quietly, but anger was written all over his face.

The agent started to move forward when Cabe pulled back on him.

"Let it go, let him go." Cabe warned him in hushed tones.

Walter grinned before he began walking to the door. He paused suddenly and stepped over to Happy and smiled at her. Happy swallowed hard looking into those bedroom eyes of his. Her eyes ran over his cute lips just as his tongue lashed out and licked them. Happy's eyes closed as she remembered the last time he'd used his tongue on her. Walter reached out and gently stroked her cheek.

"I'd really like to get together again, just the two of us. We can talk about all our favorite times together." Walter said sweetly.

"Please don't Walt. You know how bad I want you to be mine. And you never will be. You don't really care about me. You just enjoy getting off on me or making me do…things." Happy whispered.

Walter grinned looking at her and he bent over and kissed her. Happy's hands came up and pushed against his shoulders. But not enough to push him back or even herself away. She felt his lips open and his tongue lashed out against her lips. She couldn't resist as her lips gave way and their tongues entwined in her mouth. Happy whimpered as her fingers curled into fists while grabbing up handfuls of his shirt as they continued kissing.

Toby sat staring in disbelief as Walter stood there passive, other than him kissing Happy. His right hand against his hip and his left on the workbench. He saw Happy's fingers open and she pushed her hands up his chest and then her hands grabbed his hair.

"Happy!" Megan said suddenly as Happy's hips began grinding her pelvis up against Walter.

"Oh gawd." Happy whimpered as her eyes opened and she saw that damn lovable smirk Walter had so often with her when she gave in utterly to him. She turned as her cheeks blushed and moved off to the bathroom.

Walter grinned and turned and walked on towards the door. He stopped and looked down at Toby.

"See, that's how you do it Toby. All I did was kiss her. You just wished you could get her to give you the time of day." Walter grinned evilly at him and left.

Megan rode back to the back of the Garage and waited outside of the bathroom and after a half hour she heard water run and Happy came out. She gave Happy a half smile and nodded. Happy nearly broke down and cried but she pulled it back together.

"I'm so sorry, Happy. I wish I knew what to do about him." Megan told her as she reached out and pulled Happy in and hugged her.

"How do I keep losing myself to him like that?" Happy whispered.

"Well to hear Mom tell it, it is because of the blarney stone." Megan half chuckled.

"Is there any truth to that superstition?" Happy asked as she pulled back.

"I never thought so myself. But, the way Walter gets under the skin of men and women, I think there must be. I'm not excusing his behavior, but that damn bombing messed Walter up so bad. I wish you had known him before. He was awkward, he was tongue tied, he couldn't figure out how to socialize at all. I think it would have been better if Cabe had told him when he found out three days ahead of time so he could have stopped it." Megan sighed.

"I just wish he really wanted me. I'd give myself, body and soul to him in a heartbeat. Hell I almost did a few minutes ago. If you hadn't said something, I was so close to ripping our clothes off right there." Happy confessed.

"Well this probably won't make it any easier but he's supposedly met some woman he is really interested in." Megan told her.

"He told me, and seemed to delight in it. He still wants to get together with me this weekend." Happy nodded.

"Walter, damn you." Megan sighed. "What can I do to help?"

"I wish I knew. I would try to lie to him that I'm working but he always knows when I lie." Happy sighed. "And then he gets really nasty."

Megan frowned at that.

"Happy, what has Walter done? The truth, don't hide it from me." Megan demanded.

"He's your brother, you don't want to know." Happy whispered.

"You're my friend. I do want to know what he is doing to you." Megan told her.

"Maybe later." Happy whispered and walked off to her work area.

"What's going on?" Mark asked gently as he watched Megan watch Happy walk away.

Megan sighed.

"Walter has done something to Happy, something she seems at least partially ashamed about. She won't tell me, at least not right now or maybe here. Maybe I need to take her to some place where we can talk privately." Megan told him as she gave him a half smile.

Mark nodded as they began to move back to the front.

"Does the name Paige Dineen mean anything to you?" Megan asked.

"Yes actually. She's one of the people Roger had listed that he did something to a week or so ago as I recall." Mark told her.

"Maybe that's the connection then. Walter's taking her out on a date tomorrow." Megan told him.

Greetings! I hope this finds you well! hehe You guys will have to wait until Tuesday to find out if Mark is Mark Collins for sure or not. Tuesday's chapter jumps back in time a little to when Cabe meets Centipede Partners. And Thursday's chapter jumps back a bit further when Walter meets the new employees of Mark and Megan's company. Saturday's will return to what happens after this chapter.

LouBe - So glad you liked it! I had really loved how chapter 1 introduced everything and even though I went back and wrote 2 chapters to "explain" things a little, it just didn't feel right not posting these first 2 chapters first. He does have more EQ which he explains in a later chapter. I think this chapter might answer the "complete psycho" question. hehe Only time will tell...I never watched Dexter, but what a nice compliment. I can neither confirm nor deny if he is Mark Collins or not, however, if it is, I'm sure a story might be forth coming to explain how they met up. I'm pretty happy I did too. Now wouldn't that be interesting for Dark Walter right now to meet up with Callan Walter. Dark Walter might be tempted to murder. I'm definitely glad Quantum Slip Paige didn't go here...*yikes* How bad you say? Well, this chapter might help with that...not to mention next chapter...hehe

Marti - hehe Yes, it is difficult seeing him this way. One reason I was reluctant to post it as well as so many people used to be down on Walter at the end, I didn't want to stir a pot of that. lol If I do say so myself, I do believe it is a very interesting ride. Well at least to Megan, she's done something if Walter has take so much time before asking her out...so here's hoping for a Paige miracle!

Railman - Thank you! He does indeed have a much better EQ. Yep, Toby is still Toby as we knew him originally in this. hehe Yeah, Centipede does seem a bit of a stretch, but...Hopefully it doesn't snap back! I'm hopeful you guys will enjoy the ride!

JerBr23 - hehe His partner really isn't important, this is the last we see of him until chapter 11 I believe it is...and you will know who he is then and it will be the last we hear from him. Chapter 4 will get a good bit deeper into Toby's problem with Walter. Well, this chapter shines a glaring spotlight on it too. lol Yep, I couldn't call it Scorpion and puzzled over what to call their group and then it just made sense, sorry it made you want to hurl. lol Not that I blame you.

Peariegirl - Aww...thanks. I don't know about that, but if it makes you feel it, that makes me very happy! Nope, Walter is still number 4, at least until Ralph enters the scene. lol Yep, no promises...hehe

Chipbass - Thanks brother! Glad you enjoyed it! It has been a lot of fun trying to imagine a Walter who was twisted and what he would put his will to invoke. Could you imagine a dark Walter together with the perceived personal Richard in Callan working together? Hope everyone continues to enjoy it!

To the Adventure! -Tim
