Coming in at #19 on the countdown is one of the better Melee stages, Mushroom Kingdom. Aside from two minor problems I had with the stage, I found Mushroom Kingdom from Melee much like Rainbow Cruise to be a solid stage and just plain fun to enjoy fighting your friends and opponents on. Not the best stage in the series but, enjoyable.

Let's get rid of the negative parts I have to say about Mushroom Kingdom out of the way. The biggest problem I had with Mushroom Kingdom from Melee were the pits in the stage next to pulley based platforms. If you fell into the pit which was very easy to do and didn't use your recovery move within the first two seconds you got stuck below it, you would be sucked down to the bottom of the pit and it would result of a KO. This happens fairly often as it's easy for your opponent near by you to do a knock back punch on you, trapping you below the pit and not recovering. I have never liked death pits in fighting games as there are mostly useless and annoying to the main combat.

The only other minor problem I had with Mushroom Kingdom from Melee, were the breakable blocks in the stage. This is only a minor problem since it usually doesn't happen often but, too many breakable blocks would appear in the center of the stage and would sometimes slow the action now, especially if you near the bottom half of the platforms in the stage. This isn't a major problem because, they can be destroyed easily but, having too many blocks forming near the center of the stage can slow the main gameplay action sometimes.

Issues aside, Mushroom Kingdom from Melee is a solid stage. The stage is decently big and I enjoy big stages with you given freedom to attack in different directions and ways, which is something I like that isn't in most stages in the Smash Bros series.

I enjoy the animation, very well on the stage. Everything from the 2D Mario background, to the classic Mario tune playing on the stage to other background things like Warp Pipes appearing on the stage makes Mushroom Kingdom from Melee, one amazing and looking stage which is also something that isn't seen often in most stages in the series. It can be just fun alone by looking at the stage and looking back at Mario's 8-Bit days happening in the background of the stage.

I enjoy Mushroom Kingdom from Melee very well and is a solid stage just like Rainbow Cruise to enjoy playing your friends on. Not the best stage out there but, it's a fun one overall and frankly, that is all that matters.
