This isn't completely canon since I'm planning to watch Case Closed from the beginning which is 1000 episodes so I can make this as close to the canon I can!

But I'm not so confident so please correct me and tell me the part and evidence if I made any mistake!

A middle-aged man wearing a black fedora with a grey or white hatband and an outfit is a knee-length, black trench coat. His most noticeable feature was a strip of facial hair grown above his upper lip till down from his lips, a horseshoe mustache.

"...S-snake!"

A young man trembled to hold onto his left arm which was drenched with blood on his white coat. Even after feeling the heat of pain burn within his chest, he didn't let go of his poker face, having his signature grin still spread across his pale face. His white top hat with a blue ribbon band was pulled downward covering half of his face, his pained eyes yet anger flaring within them.

Snake smirked at him in victory and approached him confidently. His companions stood behind him, guns ready to be shot if he were to move an inch from his position. Snipers accompanied them as they sat on the higher buildings, gazing at their spectacles in case there were any tricks the phantom held without them knowing.

Luckily for them, the police didn't bother to check here due to still after the dummy the thief had released like he usually does.

'Damn it!'

Kaito KID couldn't help but curse under his breath, feeling unlucky the last few heists.

Had Lady Luck abandoned him? Or was it just them being impatient again when he targeted the Crystal Mother, a jewel worn by Queen Selizabeth of the Principality of Ingram, who was touring Japan on the Royal Express railway?

Either way, the current situation is already bad as it is since he lost contact with Jii. He had to find an escape route and fast.

He turned his head to find he had already reached the end part of the roof. Staring at it, his eyes gleamed then gave a small chuckle finally able to escape this horrible, sticky situation. Oh, how much he is glad that he lost contact with Jii to not have him involved in this shit.

He turned his head to freeze in shock not able to react fast enough until a muscular man smacked the back of his neck making him kneel. Realizing he unsuccessfully in making him pass out, he grabbed a hold of his neck and his arms before signaling towards Snake.

His smirk deepened at the man with the sunglasses covering his eyes taking a hold of that stupid thief. He chuckled in happiness as he crouched down to now meet the fully revealed expression of horror that was displayed to him.

'Ah. How satisfying...'

It's his fault for not becoming one of them. Kuroba Toichi... How much he had fallen... He's probably wearing another disguise to make himself younger but there are still features he won't forget.

He pulled out a thin black box from his pocket and opened it. What appeared was a neat layout of a drug which was red on the right and white on the left. He grabbed a hold of it and forcefully placed it in the mouth of the struggling thief and pulled out a water bottle and feed it to him to make him swallow it.

"Look at the so-called immortal phantom thief who has fallen since they are in a hurry due remise in regret in pain."

He laughed even louder before signaling the men to retreat seeing the poisonous drug taking effect on his body, seeing him trying to scratch his chest to get rid of the pain.

Snickering, he left with the other man to not be noticed by any nearby officers that might be scouting to keep a lookout on the runaway thief with the stolen jewel. What was annoying though, he wasn't able to find any jewels on him so he left in regret.

But since they took care of him, he won't need to worry much about others getting in his way in finding the Pandora even though they had suspected that it was within Kaito KID's hands.

There's no point in thinking about the dying man. Recalling how he knelt down to make sure he really is not breathing, he chuckled darkly. He should thank Rose for bringing the partnership up with 'them.'
