Even though I had Battlefield and Final Destination ranked at the Top 10 of my list back when I was ranking the Brawl stages is that, I realized now that are going to be a few people that ARE going to dislike bland stages with nothing in them to do with basic and bland fighting action going on in it like Battlefield and I got a fair amount of bad criticism on my countdown for ranking them high because I enjoyed stages with fair gameplay going on it. Because of this and due to the fact that not everyone is going to like these types of stages, I decided to rank Battlefield in the middle of the countdown and I realize how these types of stages are not for everyone as these stages are love-hate stages.
One thing I enjoy for Battlefield is that unlike many people, I enjoy stages that are fair and balanced with no real gameplay mix to screw up the action. I enjoy stages like that because, it's a true test of skill, testing your dexterity and skill on the character you choose on your opponent. I enjoy this also because if it wasn't for this stage and one other stage left to rank on the countdown, we would never have Super Smash Bros tournaments and that is something that is important and great in any game, let alone mostly fighting games right?
The stage design is something I enjoy, in Battlefield. The main fighting takes place on one medium sized platform and the rest taken place on three medium sized platforms at the top of the stage. Not the largest stage ever but, not the smallest either. The stage design and room in the stage is large enough, for anyone to enjoy as you are given a decent amount of room in the stage for you to plan your attacks on your opponents, even in a four way fight.
I enjoy the presentation and animation in Battlefield. The music is decent and the dark backgrounds that appear in this stage, fits the stage style well giving it a fair amount of personality.
Like I stated earlier, there is going to be a love-hate it stage. People will enjoy the stage due to the stage being great for testing the most skilled players in a fair fight in Smash Bros, while others will be disappointed to the stage with no real gameplay action going on in the stage. Because of this like I stated earlier in the write-up, this overall ranks Battlefield ranked in the middle of the countdown. I personally would ranked it a bit higher but, this stage from users stated back when I was ranking this and a few other stages back in the Brawl write-ups, know it's not for them. Battlefield is overall, a stage that is good for what it is.
