My entry to Earth Bet came as a big surprise to me.

Yesterday I was a 22-year-old college kid in the final year of his college waiting to get placed and today I am ten years old David Shaw one of the orphans of Brockton bay and most certainly not an Indian.

So what was the big silver lining of the situation?

I had power manipulation aka the slow and steady way of becoming a God.

It was the summer of 2000 and from what I remembered, Nilbog had triggered in 2001.

I knew where I had to go next.

My plan to go to Ellisburg should be perfect and to accomplish that I went to the nearest library. The nice library woman gave me the map of the city once I asked her without batting an eye.

Thus I planned my daring escape.

I created a strong stranger power which will be the end to all stranger powers.

You know that 'Observer' power in that V5 cyoa.

The funny thing is I just had to think about it and Voila it was there and all it took 10 charges.

Speaking of charges I had a few guesses about how my 'character' was made.

I could feel PM and surprisingly Invictus; both toggleable. It was the fact that Invictus was toggleable that gave me relief since I believed it to be quite disastrous to one's personality. I was getting ten charges so that meant that I had Shattered Limiter and since Contessa hadn't kidnapped me then I also had Blank.

So the next day I sneaked out and went to the bus stand and looking for the bus to Ellisburg I climbed on its roof and sat down. Not wanting my self to fell off I gave myself the ability to stick to any surface like that of Naruto characters when they walk on water, buildings and stuff. I aptly maned that power to be 'Sticker'.

I also created a 'Multitasking' that allowed me to use more than one power at once and set it at two for the moment.

So as the bus made its way with me sitting on its with Observer and Sticker on, my thoughts went to one prominent thought.

What the fuck was I going to do after reaching Ellisburg.

February 2001.

'This year is proving to be very bad for me,'Emily thought as she ran for her life. First, she had a messy breakup with her boyfriend just two weeks ago. So when she was informed about the mission she was happy. She could relieve some stress here.

Needless to say, the mission had gone to hell which wasn't something she had expected.

You see when the local PRT office of Ellisburg had informed that a new Master class Parahuman had revealed himself the main branches took notice but didn't do anything. Ellisburg was a relatively small town with one or two minor villains and heroes. It wasn't that important and had no signs of any major problems in the past, not like the New York or Brockton Bay. It was assumed that the local heroes and PRT would be able to sort through the problem without outside interference.

It had only been when all communication with the town had been cut out that the greater PRT realized something was seriously wrong.

She was part of the four, five people squads that were sent to deal with the new capes. The squad was made in such a way that they could deal with any cape; from brutes that could juggle cars to blasters who could blow through them.

They also hadheroeswho would help the lot.

So it was hoped that they would be able to deal with the new cape.

But Nilbog proved to be far farfardeadlier than anyone could have expected. The moment the entered the city they were attacked by his creatures. His army had torn through their teams and had sent the cowardly heroes running.

Those who remained, they were experiencing something out of horror films.

Emily had no idea if they were alive or not. No at the moment the only thing she cared was to keep her legs running. She tried to ignore the blood coming from her injured side as she applied pressure on it with her hands. Her continuous movement was deteriorating the wound and she knew that the ideal situation would be to stop moving.

But she cannot do that.

After all her pursuers were still after her.

Looking behind she could see them gaining on her. Those amalgamations of cat and dogs who seemed to be stitched together. Speeding up she turned in an alley only to be a dead end.

Turning back she came face to face with her pursuers.

'So this is it, huh, well if I am going down I won't go without a fight,'she thought as she brandished her knife. The creatures were about to lunge when a gut of wind flew into the alley and Emily saw the cape known as Apex standing between her and her pursuers. He smiled at her and then turning to her pursuers engaged at them.

Emily saw the kid killing them and started to feel dizzy. Realizing that she was losing consciousness she tried to keep herself steady but it proved to be a failing endeavor.

The last thing she remembered was falling in someone arms as everything turned to black.

As I looked at the sleeping form of the future head of PRT ENE, I wondered if things could have changed if I had taken out Nilbog the day I found his address.

I should have killed the guy.

At least then he wouldn't have been able to kill those fifty-odd people.

It wasn't that I hadn't put him under surveillance but his trigger was subsequent with the Freaks arriving in the city and then the local PRT had to trigger them.

By the time I was able to calm them Jaime had disappeared and well the rest was soon going to be history.

Sighing I looked at Agent Tony who was sitting beside Emily Piggot. He was their squad leader and was the first one my clones found while patrolling and looking for survivors.

Thankfully I was able to save all the remaining squad members as well including Calvert and let me tell you even without his powers, the guy was an asshole and I was waiting for the day I would hear about Coil so I could deal with the scumbag myself.

My musings were broken by Emily Piggot as she woke up and started to talk with her captain. I could sense her relief.

So as Tony and she began to talk I excused myself and made my way out to the grounds.

As I moved I could feel people's eyes on me. Making my way to Agent Wilkins who was in charge of the two squads I found him sitting with his team.

It was about time I send these people to Brockton Bay.

[Agent Wilkins]

As the people made their way through the portal, I looked at the hero who had saved more than three-quarters of Ellisburg population alongside his whole squad's life.

He had read about the kid and while PRT had stated him to be a Trump none in the brass knew just how strong the kid was. From what he was hearing from the people the kid had carried all of them to the school in a blink of an eye, created a force field around the school, treated those who were injured and kept attacking Nilbog's army while his clone was finding people.

He wondered what was so different about Ellisburg that it had two such capes.

One Apex who was a mini Eidolon and then Nilbog a bio tinker who according to Apex was able to create biomass on demand. Maybe that's why the fucker had an army to his beck and call.

As the people made their way through the portal, Wilkins couldn't help but worry about the kid. The President had ordered Ellisburg to be walled since the thinkers cannot find a way to win this without major casualties.

But that wasn't going to stop the kid. He had said that he would put Nilbog behind bars, and the way he had said it Wilkins knew that the kid would die trying.

So he and his team had decided that they would stay except Calvert. , Apex hadn't healed him saying he couldn't but he knew that the kid was lying but then again it wasn't surprising.

Thomas Calvert rubbed everyone wrongly and the whole squad was glad that he was unconscious at the moment.

So here they were nine members waiting for the kid as the people passed through the portal.

A few minutes later, he saw the kid coming over with the Freaks. It was fascinating to see how the first three Case-53 were loyal to him but then again from what he was seeing the kid was kind to them as well.

Wilkins didn't know how the kid wasn't repulsed by them but he wasn't going to point out that fact.

"So is this the last batch?" He asked as he looked at the people leaving. Wilkins could see the three Case 53 protectively standing behind the kid.

"Yes," Wilkins replied

"And why aren't you lot leaving?" the kid asked

"Can't leave you here kid, all on your own," he replied

"You are a fool you know. That guy out there is spawning an army and I don't think I can deal with them and keep your whole squad safe at the same time." Apex said and Wilkins could see Emily bristling at that statement.

"We are highly trained PRT agents-

"And how did that worked out for your lot before?" Apex asked interrupting her. "I mean the heroes who were assigned with you already left and you guys are ordered to leave by your higher-ups. Hell, they had already created a wall surrounding the city a few miles ahead of the city limits. So do me a favor guys leave, don't just risk your lives and jobs for my quest of vengeance. You have a family waiting for you back home."

"And you don't" Wilkins finished. He knew that the kid was orphan and the only family he could say he had was the local heroes and Mother Matha. All of them killed by Nilbog.

"And I don't." Apex replied and just stared back at him. Wilkins could feel his hurt and his anger when he said those three words and knew that he wasn't going to budge on the issue. Higher-ups had asked to bring in the kid back to Brockton Bay with them but seeing his state of mind Wilkins knew that if he forced the issue the kid would retaliate

Sighing he knew that he had to do what the guy was telling. He could hear the force field killing all those creatures and it seems that their quantity had increased a lot.

"Very well. Give him hell kid," Wilkins said as he motioned his team to leave. The looked ready to protest but one look from them and they all listened to his demands.

As he crossed through the portal, he just saw the kid giving him a thumbs up and then the portal was closed.

The only thing he could do was pray for the kid.

Six hours later they were sitting in the medical facilities when they were informed that Nilbog was captured and somehow lost his power; the downside was Ellisburg was destroyed completely.

When that news was announced on the TV he could hear the survivors chanting the kid's name.

He could see Emily and the rest joining the chanting, and when the video was shown, cheering, as he killed wave after wave of the monsters and then capturing Nilbog himself.

Wilkins knew that it was going to be a massive shitstorm for the PRT and Protectorate but at the moment he didn't care.

The only thing which mattered was that the Goblin King was no more.

And he was going to enjoy that and care about everything else later on.
