The stages are getting harder and harder to rank as these stages are stages, I really do not have a problem with expect for a nitpicking problem here and there on them. The next stage to appear on the countdown is, Corneria. Much like a few previous write-ups with the exception of one minor nitpicking problem I had with the stage, Corneria is a very stage to enjoy and play on with your friends.

The biggest and notable gameplay concept on the stage is that, the stage is modeled much like Sector Z from Smash Bros 64, expect that Corneria is taken place through the city and forest areas of the Planet Corneria in the Star Fox games rather then space and the stage itself was smaller then Sector Z. Occasional Arwings would come into battle firing lasers at your opponents much like Sector Z. I find Corneria while not as good as Sector Z due to one nitpicking problem, I enjoy the main concept design and gameplay on Corneria given the fact that the stage is a near carbon copy of Sector Z, one of my favorite stages back in Super Smash Bros 64.

The only problem I had with the stage and it's a nitpicking problem is that due to the stage being a near carbon copy of another stage back in the previous game in the franchise, Corneria does not feel like something unique. The stage itself is noticeably shorter and smaller then what Sector Z was and the Arwings that make a big attack cameo in Sector Z on you and your opponents, make a noticeable smaller cameo on Corneria then back on Sector Z. Some new minor additions to the stage like adding more Arwing action to attack you and your opponents or something else making an appearance on the stage would be nice. Issues aside, Corneria is a very fun stage and one of Melee's best stages.

Nitpicking aside, I still found Corneria to be a very fun stage and enjoyable to play and fight on with your friends. Since this is basically a stage remake of one of my favorite stages back in Smash Bros 64, I didn't mind seeing something like it back and I still had fun with it.

The music and presentation on Corneria is great. The main music theme that plays on the stage is a main remix tune of Corneria from the SNES Star Fox game, which is a catchy tune to listen to and the stage background on Corneria give it some personality where Sector Z's background was a basic black sky over it.

Again. One of Melee's best stages and if it wasn't for the fact that this is a stage that is basically a remake of a very good stage in the previous installment in the series, I would of ranked Corneria higher and likely in the Top 10 but, as a result of this, it fails to crack the Top 10 on the Countdown. Still, Corneria is a stage that is very fun and enjoyable to fight and play your opponents and friends on. Great stage.
