"Come on, Zwei's harmless." Ruby claimed, but Blake still continued to distance herself from the dog.
Ruby let out a sigh, leash in hand as Zwei pranced around. Maybe we should go to the dog park... or would that be worst for Blake?
She felt a sharp tug from Zwei's leash, looking up to see her dog digging his head around in a box. "Zwei, no! You can't eat the garbage."
She quickly raced to the alleyway, picking Zwei up til she let out a gasp at what's in his mouth.
"Did he ate a can or something?" Blake asked, slowly approaching them.
"No..." Ruby turned towards her, Zwei in hand.
Blake let out a horrified gasp.
In Zwei's mouth was a silver colored kitten.
Blake was quick to take it out of his mouth, checking the kitten for any injuries.
"Don't worry, the kitty's fine." Ruby said, and with a once over on the kitten, Blake could see no injuries.
In her hand, the kitten mewed.
"Aw..." Ruby and Blake can't help but to say at this adorableness, though the faunus did notice Ruby's eyes lingering on her bow for a short moment.
"Did you want to ask...?"
"N-No, I was just curious." Ruby sheepishly smiled.
Blake squinted her eyes at first until she heard Zwei bark. She jumped away from the canine, holding the kitten up high. "No."
"Zwei found..."
Blake looked up at the cat. "Her."
"Zwei found her. Besides, he just wanted to play."
"I'm not even sure if she's old enough to play."
"Come on, Zwei won't bite."
At first, Blake pouted, but she slowly lowered the kitten down. Not put her down, just... lowering.
She froze when Zwei gotten closer, panting with his tongue out. She winced at each he took til he's nose to nose with the kitten,
Zwei barked once again, then nuzzled his head against the kitten's.
"Aw..." Ruby cooed as Blake's eyes widen in surprise.
Slowly, she placed the kitten down on the ground as a sign of trust, then backed away to give room.
The dog energetically barked, running around the silver colored kitten. Though a little confuse, the kitten doesn't seem to be too bothered by Zwei's presence.
"See?" There was a sly smirk on Ruby's face, but Blake lowered her surprised expression into more of a small smile.
"Alright, you're right." Blake said.
"Oh, do you think we can take care of the kitty?"
"I mean, I'm sure she'll be easier to take care of then Zwei."
Ruby let out a happy squeal, hugging Blake's side. Zwei and the kitten simply looked curious at this.
