D3: The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined
Warnings: For this chapter we get a said single scene in training, before the term starts, as they quickly bond to Orion. And then Orion gets said phone call from Casey's twin brother on Peter and Karp. And what they did this time to get put under his supervision at the school. This is going to be a re-imagining of D3: the Mighty Ducks as Charlie meets Orion at the start of the summer, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth that their new coach is friend of their current's. And with it, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, so an alternate reality story. But the other clip to this is going to show a few situations of Orion's coming into the picture, just before Charlie chose him as their back up coach.

Chapter 5 Training Begins And A Fresh Beginning II
"They never see this coming, but by actually taking the bait and throwing the first punch, just as you said." he said and they nodded. "Ducks huddle." he said and everyone went into a circle at that remark "Guys no higher then peewees and only that, we save our pro level training for the showdown, just use the first two, till we have them so over confident. They think they got it the bag, Peewee Ducks, are our original playbook, Adam, you know the most 4 years together."
"And use that against them." Charlie said in a whisper and they smiled then. "New stature under dad, starting now guys, we're using our psyche training starting now. But every time the black jerseys thought they had us, we always came back strong here. That status never changed here, so practice gone real if they start a grudge match with us, then the showdown. We let them have it hard, but we need both sides of our code duo back, plus Adam to pull it off."
"When you guys get back, we're back, the Hawks Vs. the Ducks." he said and Orion smiled at the reveal. "But key fact here they never considered, either of us on our own are good, but together, we're a two man wrecking crew now. Dad's star players, so with that, these idiots had an unfair advantage the last time, they had one of us: Adam. But him back with us, we're going to destroy them now, we always knew this, but they didn't." he said and they nodded gently.
"Issues in being a cub." Charlie said and Jesse looked at him. " Say it you get the pillow Jesse, don't start, we had that conversation one too many times." Connie said warningly to him as he got ready to answer that and the faculty started laughing at that. "Point taken and I don't care who started it, I'm ending it." Orion said with a chuckle at that remark. "I think that was duckling, but both, so enough already, we're not doing this all day." Julie said with a laugh then.
"Agreed, we're not doing this all day and I don't care which of you wiseacres started it, I'm ending it, so that's enough of that already." he said in response then. "To get it back on track was, if this was reversed we met on the first day of school, before a fight breaks out. And you never told me sooner that was a trap, my remark to Riley is the result guys, in this case. It's pushing them to lose all self control and throw the first punch." he added and the 14 nodded.
"But the fact we planned that out in advance and despite my saying stay clear, they push us into it, and I catch them in a brawl with you, you get a warning. And they get detention for 3 months, but the fact their parents are purposely ignoring their criminal tendencies. That's not going over well, but the Alumni, a group of aging pep clubbers, because I'm taking it to court. So want to press your luck, as this becomes a legal proceeding?" he said and they went white.
"Call it a technicality Riley, oh no, no, this is based on hate crimes, you're holding onto a championship that we won fair and square, but we won 3 games. Their grades are through the roof, what crime have they committed to get their scholarships revoked. When said raid was meant to be a help to the cops, before the campus security arrested whoever. And for coming back drunk, hmm?" he said and the board started shaking, realizing they had no alibi for it.
"Let's see here, your kids are snatching lunches till my son spikes his and to add insult to injury, your children start a riot, and my son and his trio run to me. As I prevent an attempted assault and battery, your kids trash my locker room, before I find a busted pipe in the shower heads. Or did you forget Riley, that pipe goes to the system regulator keeping that rink a solid block. And of ice, that gets hit, we have to replace it immediately." he said and they went white in fear.
"So they freeze your jackets, as you basically did more damage then they did, by destroying that pipe, make us think the Banks's knew about your last trick. In leaving them to pay a bill they have no money for, we take this to the cops and then run a raid. And arrest who came back, and then challenge you to a match and you forget I get in at 6. As I catch you red handed in a brawl, so tell me, who deserves to be expelled." he said and they paled at that remark then.
"So fair is fair, you're the ones going to criminal acts and my kids are defending themselves, so what crimes have they committed?" he asked and they started shaking in fear, realizing they had no leverage whatsoever then to evict them from the school then. "But knowing you will never expel them, because they're your children, you're ignoring it. Said their criminal like tendencies, but Charlie is right, in truth, was his idea of raising the money by the school illegal."
"After all you were doing all season when Adam was a hawk, was it that illegal now, offering charity to the families that need support at the children. Well this is your last year anyway, next year is we're the Varsity when Reilly's version start school. I guess more then hockey, I'm teaching them to defend themselves, after one summer together, we bond so tightly. You forget you heard that tone in my voice all the time, only now I sound like a father to his teenage son."
"And his friends and they love me, so to them papa bear, so try to attack, and they run to me, father bear or, with our symbol, father Duck." he said sternly and the Varsity swallowed hard then. "But we're jumbo Pekins in human form, but like any pack animal, you mess with one duck, you got to deal with the entire flock, and the leader is a fully grown adult duck. Want to get rough, wait till this ends up in court, if you strike his injury." he said and they all went white.
"I don't care if you fire me, go right ahead, I'm not listening to you, the alumni, a bunch of aging pep clubbers, I got my team, they are my children. They are the kids of my friends, my cub gang, so forget in evicting them from the school, they go, I go. Yeah you heard me right, you…, you can choose another hotshot, to be coach, because I hate preppies like yourselves. But hey want to go there, we've got a ready made attorney here just waiting to shoot here."
"So screw with me, this gets taken to court and we're suing you brats for attempted murder on two occasions. Need I remind you, that you got caught in attempted bisecting, But 1) you finally got too rough you knocked him unconscious. 2) attempted bi-section which could have killed a few dozen others." he said and they went ghostly white. "Oh my god, that's a good way to kill, not just your targets, you could have killed whoever struck it before we did right now here."
"You idiots, have you all lost your minds?!" Monroe shouted in shocked fury at that and Josh nodded sternly in agreement then. "But you remember this attitude Reilly in Gordon after you got him fired, to think, we wasted all those years. Worrying about what you thought, you're going down finally." he said and the Varsity Hawks went white in fear. "My attorney is my best friend, he went freelance and this just came back to haunt you in the worst way possible."
"Not a legal proceeding, not yet, but I assure you that it will be, these scholarships became a binding contract on the acceptance by my team, they can not be voided. Except for just cause, which I guarantee do you have none whatsoever, you attempt this, we will sue the school. And I will collect damages, I will win this right now, because we are very good, and you know why. Because we had a good education, you gave it to us, and you will them, whether you like it."
"Or not." he said and they swallowed hard at that remark. "My words in your father's voice, Charlie." Gordon said and he smiled. "Like I said, I been listening to both of you way too much lately, but had a good mentor, I'll be just fine here." he said and the faculty chuckled at that remark. "And said claim on us says it all, my team, my Ducklings, you're embracing this wholeheartedly now, being our new father Duck, our mentor." Connie said and he nodded then.
"Yeah I got my team, it's you guys baby, but family gang, more then a team, but a family, family gang." he said and they nodded as she hugged him and he tightened his arms around her. "Yeah Coach you made a perfect choice, spend all summer bonding to him and soon we're back on it. But our wings got clipped, so our wings grew back in and ready to take flight, but after we beat them, for good, the Hawks die and the Ducks fly." Russ said and Charlie smiled in agreement.
"Issues but it's always you and Adam this and you and Adam that, you, you, you, Adam, Adam, Adam and Peter is so damn sick of it. Inferiority complex mixed with the toxic chemicals or worse, the natural, and your father told us to stay clean." Averman said and he nodded. "My best friend, what do you expect, we and Connie understand each other without needing. Now, to say anything out loud, you know what my code phrase means." he said and he nodded smiling.
"Yeah we, Jesse, Greg, Guy and Connie understand each other perfectly, but then why not we share something the 10 don't, our parents are their own sextet, we're them as teenage cubs." he said and Charlie nodded. "Well you, the Halls, Fulton, the trio and me are Red team, Adam has the girls and the sextet, so 17 and these two are hearing my orders countermand his repeatedly, as our plays are on red, blue and green, so with that, Green 56, fire in the hole."
"What am I'm saying to you." he said and she nodded. "Everybody heads up, get out of the way, Fulton's ready to shoot." Jesse said and he nodded. "We're doing the numbering system for said karaoke catch, Red 65, shoot off cowboy." he said and Dwayne nodded. "Start showing off, and then get out of the way, I'm passing it to Fulton." he said and he nodded smiling. "Only we understand what these code phrases mean." he said and Orion chuckled at his remark gently.
"And that's enough of that from the peanut gallery, but psyche outs or just jumping in front of the net now, to block the shot, if we yank Julie or Greg at the last minute now." Jesse said and he nodded bemused at the remark. "Nice wording son, but you're right, at the moment, but that's what I'm teaching you guys this summer now in truth here. Blocking shots without doing something this dangerously reckless right now." Orion said and the team nodded smiling at that.
"I take it the 24 never took your training, but Jared and Scooter had, huh?" Charlie asked and he nodded. "Yeah, but they're hotshots, learning winning is all the matters, but the dean taught us it's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game now. Make the game fun, but at the same time, get right to business in truth, we never lost a game before. We're not starting now, but that kid nearly causes a tie, it's the reprimand from heck." he said and they nodded.
"You said that the Blakes are the first game of the season now, same pattern every year, the Bears, Cardinals and whoever?" Connie asked and he nodded. "Said so close tie game, not our fault, Peter always liked it close, but the Italian/USA game was 11 to 1, our favor. But you taught us total shut out and high leads mean nothing, if we don't do defense. This is easy, we can handle this, if they bail after a grudge match, total shut out, for two more games now."
"As they see it now, we're keeping up the state champs catch here, only by not getting that rough in the game, but with these guys back, it's going to be close. So guys we're getting it into double digits, just kill the clock, and Fulton, I don't mean it literally. Just run the clock out, but if he's getting desperate to win that game, and he's medically compromised. It's we're yanking him and I finish the shot myself." he said and his side of the team nodded then as Orion smiled.
"But you guessed right guys, mom's his first wife, got married right out of high school, had me at 20, but mom never wanted him to give up his shot into the Stars. But he did anyway when we were 9, car accident, baby here was the reason." he said and the team nodded. "And there's said lecture, strange curves, our's was walking right into your father, we meet. And get to know him and by the start of the school year we're as close to him as we are to Coach Bombay."
"But new father duck, not just anyone, he's our parents best friend and your father here, one summer training and we're so good we're going to destroy the competition now." Connie said smiling at that. "Like Adam said, he was my coach, but 4 years, these idiots never listened to his advice, but that's going to come back to haunt them. And in the worst way possible, Connie, as Charlie gives a demo in the first game on what Tim refused to understand here right now."
"But this is easy if you never grew up with this, said this, old training, you never grew up conditioned on said bad training strategy. But we're skipping a year of college and staying for another year, Scooter and me guys." Jared said and she nodded. "That's great Jared, like a big brother we became your family and as a result, you're part of the gang. We're not ready to let you go yet." she said and he hugged her and she tightened her arms around him in response.
"And before things take a total switch up, I'm too old for you, Cat." Scooter said and she looked down smiling at that. "But dad, I'm coming home, you need the money more, so I'm skipping this year in living in the dorms, as that brings in your first score amount of $10,000." Jared said and Banks nodded smiling. "And we go from there, but we can spend the summer doing the fundraising and then push hard during the candy and concession stand sells now in truth."
"But just by the end of the semester it's $125,000 before the school term starts and Hendrix is providing the gear for the sells." he said and the team nodded in agreement then. "Double whammy here, we sell their products, and the money goes to charity." Charlie said and the Varsity all paled, realizing the Ducks way of handling this was making them look. And like a bunch of Ebenezer Scrooges, for not helping with Charity right now at that remark then.
"I heard that, and thanks for the idea Charlie, so you advertise our products and sell them and 1/3 that incoming revenue goes to the children's hospital here in Minneapolis. The second to the Banks family for his baby sister and the third goes into the our revenues. Alright you got a done deal then!" they heard get shouted out and they saw their hockey apparel sponsors at the games arrive then. "We start this summer!" Gordon shouted back to him and he nodded smiling.
"This is going to be a long summer right now, but Jan and Hans are the ones we're working with, we can continue this, but the jerseys just got updated right now, alright dad" "Mom" the sextet said together and they nodded. "Got it, said jars for donations and we go from there, while the amounts are coming in the door so fast we're losing track of the amounts. But again, we do anything illegal here?" Germaine said sternly and the Varsity swallowed hard then to that.
"Spread that to mayor could you, your Honor, because Richfield is raising money for the Banks family fund and the children's hospital. And from now to Christmas, we do it every year, starting now in Richfield." he said and the judge nodded. "I will and thank you for your generosity." he said and they nodded. "We start tomorrow." Orion said and he nodded. "Agreed, so practice tomorrow?" Charlie asked and he nodded. "I'll pick you up." he said and they nodded gently.
"You'll see what we mean tomorrow dad, but it took a fast demo to get why Coach called out look out to the quintet, and another after it bounced off an over turned can. And went flying over the fence and hit Mr. Tyler's neighbor's car windshield." he said and Orion nodded. "Like Jim said that happens all the time, so don't sweat it, Charlie." Tyler said and he nodded with a smile. "Our side of the 17 of us are the fire power, as we use this against the Varsity here right now."
"But with it, we're dealing with helping the security, Peter would go to planting a disgusting trap on their stuff, our's is more and more we're ticking them off till they lose all self control. And forget one thing here, and dad, like any hockey player, loves a good morning skate. Before getting to work, as being on the ice wakes you up faster then a cup of coffee. We all know that, but morning skate, before the day really gets going, shower and then we can get to work."
"So school starts at 8, we, guys, are here at 6:30, 10 laps around the rink, a fast shower, and then head for the cafeteria for breakfast, after my cat duty is over now." he said and they nodded to the orders. "Nice thinking that helps, after the showdown comes to an end right now, we're enjoying a good practice, but this is like, if the demigods were real. If there was one of Poseidon, said loves a good dunk in the pool, before school starts." Orion said with a chuckle.
"And at times I wish I could spend all day in the pool then listening to these preppies, because I'm sick and tired of the Warriors attitude in this school." they heard from one club member and he nodded. "Who wouldn't right now, you maybe a swimmer, but even we like a nice dunk in the pool, you on the swim team, Sis?" Charlie said and she nodded. "Yeah we're composed of the swim and basketball teams, Coach Hancock does JV Basketball." she said and he nodded then.
"Of the three of us we got the most dangerous sport of the trio, because of how brutal these games get." he said and she nodded. "I know, but seeing you now that we know your father is our JV hockey coach, the you Lin and I get to know is this you." she said and he smiled. "My name's Christine." she added and he nodded. "So Christine, nice to meet you, but yeah we can join your club right now, and our schedule is set." he said and the 15 nodded smiling to that.
"Bigger flock here, we've tripled, to quadrupled in size here now." Linda said smiling and Orion, Hancock and their swim team counterpart exchanged smiles. " I know they're making this year into the last movie of our series, you're the girl sitting next to Linda. And after seeing these guys get rough with Les', that's Lester Averman, but as of now we're ending the surname catch. And going by name, so Les' Averman, Greg Goldberg and Dean Portman." he said and they nodded.
"And Greg, would you stop antagonizing these guys, before they kill you!" Dwayne said to him and Ken nodded in agreement. "Alright that's enough guys, line change!" Orion said and they nodded as the clubs were shaking in laughter at that. "Peter tries that, it's hold me back like I'm going to kill him, and Peter keep this up and I will." Goldberg said and they nodded bemused. "Just wait till we're in the locker room and then you can kill him." Charlie said and he nodded.
"And for getting that rough with you, but you break a rib or worse, he's a dead man right now, they both are." Averman said sternly to that and the 9 nodded in agreement. "Are you guys always like this with each other, because anyone our side listening to this. Is going to find this funny right now, when you're kidding around, but after watching the second Iceland game. So that's you as you are now, once these idiots are back on the team." Linda said and they nodded.
"We are, the 11 of us have been together so long, we're seen as flock, so anyone that knows the standard, mess with one duck get ready to deal with the entire flock. But as the alpha, I'm always flanked by the guys, which is why the 10 are on both sides of me now. Peter's not a team player, he's not mature enough to understand the responsibilities that come with this. But dad, dad's an adult duck, so mess with his ducklings, start running." he said and the club nodded.
"Anyone else see this, it's always me this, and me that now in your eyes guys, like if I nearly been killed after these idiots tried to blow a hole in the ice. And I risked death by drowning and exposure to save my sister…" he said and the team nodded gently. "Yeah you're the heart of the team: our brother, we can't get along without you, them we can, but you no. You're our brother, we love you, and we only follow you." Adam said gently and the 9 nodded in agreement then.
"Point made guys, you made your point, but this is what being the real team captain is really like right now, for a true leader, it's he leads you, keeps you together. As the captain he is what makes the team special, your player/coach, best friend and father, for the players that loyal. It's they, you, love him and would do whatever he asked you to, even following him right into it. The flames, not an easy image to live up to, trust me." Orion said and he nodded in agreement then.
"Just wait for the first news back and then hearing from us what they did this time, and we all know Les and you are going to kill these guys vocally for whatever it might be." Julie said in response and he nodded. "That's the understatement of the century, but 4 years I bailed their buts out of a jam, but the one time I'm not there to head it off. And they cause a real accident is when dad has us in practice all day, and we hear directly from the faculty what it was they did."
"Now, and I said this repeatedly too, but sooner or later this addiction to these sick practical jokes will destroy their lives and then it does finally when the 5 of us are not there. Just to head it off and with that, alright Peter, what you guys do now exactly if you're here. Damn it, I told you this, I don't know how many times, that your addiction to these pranks. Said will result in Bombay's remark of ending up in jail and now it does." he said and Orion nodded sternly to that.
"Remember Leon's remark to his team after they start a riot at the bar in Calgary, well that's me now, this is not a game, did either of you have the sense to know better right now. But yeah laugh, I want to see who's laughing when dad gets in here, because I have to be the one. Now to bail you out of jail, but dad hears what this was, he's going to kill you vocally. And for starting a riot at the local tavern on 54th street now." he said and Madigan covered her eyes at that.
"Dead duck walking right now." Russ said bemused and he nodded. "Yeah that's an understatement, because though you're bad in said reprimand. Well I'm worse, but this is 'father' for what John said that night, guys." Orion said sternly at that. "And you're drinking, just what the hell is the matter with you guys, no, I don't want to hear it. Practice everyday this week, 5 a.m., got to get up early, if you want to hunt goose eggs." he said sternly to finish it.
"Peter never understands this, because he chose to quit, I been leading you guys so long, we understand each other perfectly here. As for this one, Green 67, shoot it passed the blue." Charlie said and they nodded. "Block the goal, and ice the puck, to give us enough time to think up our next move, before Blue 85, tee it up, you're telling me to go knuckle puck now." Russ said smiling and Orion smiled at his coding to the 16 and they nodded in agreement at that.
"Gold 35, hand coord, Les'." he said and he started laughing at that. "Hand/eye-eye coordination, make the goalie think I got the puck and get it beyond close. Before someone fires in, we use all of these and the Varsity are going to think they got it all. But no, we got 350 more plays in those other 2 playbooks and the power play is about to be unleashed. But the Rumson Rack are asking for the reprimand from heck here now." he said and Buckley started laughing.
"Just like if Rico and Florez were high school team mates, we use that against them, but I'm squad leader and being a team captain is like being squad leader. You lead the team right now, and someone freezes up, or hesitates now, that could kill here. Clear thinking, tell me if we got a problem and we call time, before whoever it is removes their helmet. And we have another Kirby and his imbecile rival on the other team and they get arrested for it." he said and they nodded.
"Yeah Son, you made your point, you say captain with or without it on your shoulder." Orion said and he nodded gently. "I'm 14, I got to grow up and frankly, I'm not blowing our image when we got 500 people watching the game, before Varsity does their's now." he said and Orion nodded. "But guys after we're done, we got candy duty and help Linda with the concession stand, but I'm joining dad in the rink and watching their games." he said and the team nodded, smiling then.
"Like I said, we been doing our homework on the Varsity, not going to lie to you, they're good, you push them into said fight, the way they rubbed your noses in the dirt. Said was no fluke, so if you guys want your pride back, better be willing to work, nothing glamorous about it. In the pros we call this blue collar hockey, that's something these guys do very well. They're vultures around the net, they pick up every piece of loose trash, that's how they beat you here now."
"Not with the first shot, but the second and the third, they bang in the junk, so want to win, you better pick up the trash." Orion said and the team smiled and the Varsity all paled, realizing they understood, where they as the Varsity Hawks didn't, and their ex coach was like their rivals. And the Ducks loved their new Coach, and saw the trust, loyalty and cub bear to their parent bear between their rivals and their ex coach. "Our new leader." Charlie said smiling at that firmly.
"Never see this coming he encourages us the way that Bombay used to, same pep talk before the final shot of the game. And suddenly, if this was in reverse, you suddenly having me grow too attached to him, before the end of the week, before the title changes, from coach to dad?" he said and they went white. "Oh boy, attachment to your coach gets dangerous when said is like us, but always Coach says this, or Coach says that now, for a mother, if she's the single."
"In parents at times this is a real relief, if the coach is a man, and said student supposedly grew up without a father, said coach becomes the parent. In this case that's literal, if Ted and your mother stayed together, Gordon's your godfather and we have nothing to be afraid of." Hancock said smiling at that remark. "Exactly, only I'm using that title full time in practice now, as I send Connie to you." he said and Orion nodded. "Uh oh." Everyone their side said together smiling.
"Yeah uh oh alright there is no getting passed me anymore here once we get started here, with me taking over as head coach and leader of the team, anyone screws with you guys. Is asking for the reprimand from heck here." Orion said sternly and the Varsity paled at that. "I mean it gentlemen, stay away from my team, the showdown is in the middle of the semester. So here's the wager, we win, your brother's lost this year and start next year, you win and they start."
"And at the same time and are Robert's next team incoming, with the judge here, it's a fair and square wager, any attempt to revoke those scholarships, you blow it and we win anyway!" he said and the board nodded shaking, realizing he meant it with the courts involved then. "Indeed, I see no reason for why those scholarships are even being revoked, you made a fair wager. And trying to revoke, because they're scared screams, dirty cheater in everyway you can say it."
"But if you hadn't spent all summer preparing for the showdown, you're being destroyed here, we're working over time!" Hall called out and they nodded, shaking. "And what 5 months does to you, we're spending 6 months training for the showdown, 5 for a normal season. Till we're so in tune with you that we're a true team and happy being your players." Connie said and Orion nodded smiling gently. "Yeah I know baby, you earned this." he said and she smiled gently then.
"And to say this now, Riley, if you insult my kids, because his rival is blowing our image right now, no your son isn't. In my eyes as a professional of 8 years, your brat and his team are not good enough to play for me, a pro hockey, but why give them a chance. When they're too indoctrinated by a psychopath, and I get better results with a group of Ducks now." he said and they all paled, realizing he rejected them for someone that will take his lessons and using them.
"You were our coach!" Riley said, feeling beyond hurt at that, as he felt his heart start breaking, now realizing his getting sick of trying to break through. In what Reilly taught them was the reason for that. "Maybe young man, but that was then, and this is now, but imagine if you tried to kill my kids, and my delight after 2.5 years, I passed you to Wilson now. As I had all the time to spend in the world on them, my son and his team, as they reach your level by high school."
"But young man, your attitude after I took your captaincy away from you, you destroying your stick after the Cardinals scored on you on our goal post. You blew the image of the Warriors by that action, my getting on your case repeatedly. Does that say you like me, or you couldn't wait to leave me, as the J.V. coach, but there are two types, you were the first now. The second loves their coach, we become their mentor, their best friend, a father, a mentor they love us now."
"As our name comes out their mouths everytime their parents turn around, but Coach says this, or Coach says that, according to the Coach. To the parents they don't mind this at all, because next to them, our trust and respect means everything to their children. Never want to lose that right now, to you the children, we're everything you need, parent, mentor, friend. Doctor and therapist, but that's the boys, to a co-ed team with girls on it, we become parent bear now."
"If the Coach is either gender, with my being a parent already and to the leader of their team, this comes as a plus, but we're a family gang, players. They love their Coach, don't want to let go and are counting the days left they got together. So tell me, which one are you guys gentlemen, which grouping, but look at you and now look at us." he said and they looked down, feeling like they been abandoned at that, and realizing it finally, as he saw them as a lost cause.
But the Ducks, they were his team, they could get some real progress done in his eyes and show the true face of what the school really means. And 1/4 of that money goes to their sister!" he said and they went ghostly white at not realizing it then.
"But free ride, look at you rich boy, mommy and daddy gave you everything." Russ said sternly crossing his arms. "We earned those scholarships, but your hotshot brothers were just not good enough, if they got defeated by new ways that look unconventional. To a real pro or going pro hockey player, this is hockey, duck style, and our ways are why we were never defeated. You always went to your brothers games, but you ever come to our's, just to see us in action here."
"Aside from the first first and last game between us and your brother, as the championships are always down to us, every single time. And the more you tried to get rough with Adam, the more unbeatable you made us all that time. And that's under Coach Bombay, but what about Uncle Ted, now what, you're coming to the J.V, games. But you have no idea what he taught us over the summer, how can you be sure: peewees, JGWG, or pros now." Guy asked and they all paled.
"Didn't think so, with you being Varsity, you're watching us in our games, and soon after seeing our strategy, how long before you realize our defenses are so good. You can't get a shot off and we're scoring shot after shot, after shot on you?" Goldberg asked and they swallowed hard. "But this isn't the Peewees, your tactics, gentlemen, are not going to work on the level. That you're playing for, now for the last time, stay away from my team." Orion said to them sternly then.
"Riley scared of you?" Charlie asked and he nodded. "Very, but thinking he's getting off lightly right now for that guess again, and to say it again I know what caused the brawl. If someone put their hand where it shouldn't be and you go alpha male now with the girls. The girls are your life I know that, that to you, it's you're preventing whoever it is from killing them. But age 14, you just entered puberty here and for your sisters, puberty means something else to a father."
"And to us it, it means 'touch my daughter at all like that, I'll kill you myself, hands off you little brat.'." he said sternly and he and the 13 nodded sternly to that. "These brats are 17, but that frat party, never leave the drink unattended, ever ladies." he said and the trio nodded. "Yeah papa bear, mess with us girl cubs, you get mauled, so gentlemen, you been warned." Connie said as she leaned against his chest and they swallowed hard as he hugged her from behind.
"That's my daughter, gentlemen, my daughter as a teenager, so touch her, you're a dead man here!" he said sternly and they started shaking then. "Point made Coach Orion, point made, your gang just got back together, you love Constance, like she's your own." the judge said sternly and he nodded. "The 6 of us are a family gang, gaining 10 new families added to it, but Jason, Claire, Casey and I are the leaders of it." he told him and he nodded sternly to the news.
"To put this bluntly I'm two fathers here on a certain movie series, one is Saxon himself, the other is Rodney's father, unfortunately the cops in the family are Peter and Derek Jacobs. Peter's covering Saxon's character, so with that…" he said and they all went white. "Just move away from her son, real easy, like your but depended on it." Duncan said, leaving his hand on his gun holster and Riley junior started shaking in fear at that, realizing he was being arrested then.
If he ever did touch her or Tammy like that. "Point taken, Ted, Peter you made your point." Buckley said bemused and he nodded. "Trust me the training is going to get nasty right now, but in this case, our arrangement is first a few laps to warm up. Shooting practice, and then we start adding to our college/pro playbook now, but I just answered said questions. And correctly, I'm not allowing these idiots to destroy our image on our firs game, ours and Eden Hall right now."
"As it won't be the fact they screwed up and we nearly had a tie here that you're furious at, he just injured me, broke his stick and destroyed our flawless record, our image. And of being a model team in one shot right now, but that's father for, 'what is the matter with you exactly. I get you're angry at Gordon for leaving, but that reaction there is no excuse. Uncle you're clean and you control temper, you're benched till further notice!'." Charlie said and he nodded sternly.
"That's the reason I'm so pissed off here, it's not the fact we barely made it, your first game at the school right now, but that he, by attacking you and destroying his stick. He just destroyed the image we're trying to present here right now, as a new version of the Ducks now. And as Derek and I have a fast talk, but he knows I need to cool down, I never lost it before. And to repeat this, I'd have preferred a loss to a close call win like this, as you learn more from losing."
"Then from winning, said I need to update the defenses, but the fact he just laid you out and my secondary captain is on our rival team currently. I have to make another change, until the Halls get back at the moment, and like you said: I taught you total shut out. And a high lead means nothing if you can't play defense now, but total shut out or just up to 5. And that's our new way, spend all summer doing this and after school now, that we just do this repeatedly now finally."
"As you get used to hearing my training tone, we're working in total tandem with each other and by the first game of the season now. We become so attuned to each other, we're unstoppable now finally in truth." he said gently and Charlie nodded sternly to that. "Who does he think he is, we never had a problem all summer or up to then, we practiced every day. Becoming this good, instead of borderline good, we're now unbeatable here, and he wrecks our strategy here."
"Our strategy we spent all summer working on." he said and they nodded. "Hey Charlie, I got the news, but 4 of us are on the other 20 schools you're playing against!" they heard from a boy wearing a panthers baseball cap and he nodded. "Alright every Friday is a practice game Luke, just choose between yourselves and we work out!" Connie said and he nodded gently. "Alright call all of the peewee teams we're doing real games, off season." Orion called back to him then.
"Last season in the off season, tell the others, everyone but the Hawks, that one last time, one last time, for all time's sake, before you start school hockey. I'm their new coach, Luke, so Coach Bombay passed the Ducks to me, before you all start the 8th grade." he called and he smiled and nodded then as he headed for the black panther's team van then. "Well this is going to be great, we spend a summer in real games, before we all become school teams now."
"And we can be a real team too with you, bond tightly, we have a life with you now, that the duo never see it coming." Averman said and he nodded. "Yep, we spend an entire summer together in ad adjustment, as I become your leader." he said and they nodded. "I know dad, but in truth, we were happy till the duo came back, we were, we are a team, our strategy now here. We got plotted out in advance, training starts tomorrow, so we start there, but a few of said moves."
"We need to fix a few things here, Luis broke the brake again and we have to fix that, the other thing here now is, Dean, you and the faculty better see why we said to duck. As you're always at the scrimmages now at the current moment and finally, so we don't have the Varsity. In spying on us, better do it at the town skating rink starting now." Charlie said and Orion nodded gently then as he answered him smiling gently at his remark as he looked into his eyes then.
"Okay, we do that, the season just ended, I been without a team as a coach for the last 18 months, since passing these brats to Wilson, only my latest incoming team is not just anyone. But my son and the children of my friends, but from one father duck to another." he said smiling and they looked down then smiling. "Love you too Coach" "Dad" they said together at that and he smiled gently as he rubbed the back of Charlie's head smiling, as they got ready…..
Training Begins:
"Jake, set up the locker room for my kids, they're getting early training started, and I need to get their training jerseys and gear arranged." Orion said and he nodded gently, as he went to handle that, as Tibbles gave him the gear needed. And the team was now sporting the Eden Hall logo on the helmets with their numbers on them, as he put together their school dufflebags. 'One side red, the other white.' he thought putting together first Charlie's side of the team.
Before doing Adam's, and the freshly created school dufflebags with their original team logo on the side of one side of them. 'The Eden Hall Mighty Ducks now, there we go, so though a school team now currently, still them.' he thought and bought a duck whistle. 'Take the position and make it my own, yeah this helps to make them more comfortable with me. Spend all summer and the rest of the school year together, we're ready.' he thought gently as he got ready then.
As the team were waiting out the clock for their first practice with their new coach then. "What are you so happy about exactly?" they heard and Charlie smiled. "My father took over coaching from Bombay, Peter, he's in charge now, not Richard Conway. But Coach Ted Orion, my real name is Charlie, Theodore Orion/Conway, I got reunited with my dad. So both parents, dad coaching me, mom in the stands now." he said as he looked at the brunette who paled at that.
"But I guess you never thought of this, but yeah mom is his first wife, married at 18, had me at 20, exactly 10 years later, dad sees me again surrounded by you idiots and Les'." he said and they paled. "Do we know this guy?" he asked and he crossed his arms. "He was the red SUV, that shouted out to freeze, just age my voice 20 years, and you'll know him when you see him." he said as the bell went off. "Guys gear up, practice." he said and the team nodded smiling then.
As they changed into their Goodwill game jerseys, acting as a group of going white ducklings then, as the school bus arrived and they smiled. As Orion came to get them for practice, they saw he had 17 duffle bags with him now, each carrying their names and with the school logo, in Duck form on them. "Fresh equipment and your training jerseys, guys." he said and they nodded as they passed their real duck uniforms to him and he smiled in approval at that.
In knowing they were ready to become his version now. 'Yeah for now red and white and then we get our jerseys back.' Charlie thought as he took his gently as they changed into their uniforms and gear and walked into the ice, as Orion was dressed in his coaching gear then on the rink. "Next idea, we're all dressed in the same version, if they push us into a grudge match dad, the entire team is dressed in white with red shoulder pads." he said and the team smiled.
"Hey kids." Buckley said and they smiled gently as Charlie waved gently. "Twenty games per season, we got one close game, if the duo return to the team now. But you're seeing us in action after we gained our duck jerseys now, but this was us now. And after we attuned ourselves to each other, but though we adjusted to being Goodwill Games. It's combining both versions together, and that's what this is now." Charlie said and Orion nodded in understanding.
"Yep and you and Adam are my star players, so close game, before you get it into double digits and 2 more shut outs this coming season. And before the showdown that they're getting the biggest shock of all right now in how well we are doing. As 6 months and we spend all spring and summer and really show we mean business here right now. But as you said, we're enjoying one last season between us in the off season." Orion said gently and Charlie smiled then gently.
"Next Friday's the first off season game, dad, but 10 games this off-season, plus the off season championships." he said and the faculty crossed their arms, smiling. "Non stop hockey all year, but we're enjoying ourselves, and though enjoying the games we stay focused. But gentlemen, you know our Goodwill game code names, but you better ever look at the opposite. And of the spectrum, because said Peewee are updated to high school." Adam said and he nodded gently.
"Alright guys show me your skills, but young man no getting rough, we got girls on this team, so take it easy on the boys here." Orion said and they nodded as Luis went first as he did a round around the rink. "Luis hit the breaks, watch the curve!" Russ called out, before he skidded in the turn and slammed into the wall and Gordon flinched. "Trouble stopping, I got to fix the brakes." Orion said and Gordon nodded. "Dwayne." he said and he nodded as he put his helmet on.
As they watched him messing around with the puck. "Show off." Charlie said with a laugh and Orion nodded with a chuckle. "Alright stop showing off, before you get ran down, son." Orion said and he smiled as he stopped as he knocked the puck to Adam and he nodded. "Shooting practice here!" Gordon shouted and they nodded as they started taking shots at her and she stopped each one. "Yeah we need a back up." Orion said gently at that, before he heard it.
"Guys look out, heads up!" Averman shouted and they quickly split up as the shot went flying across the room and Kenny jumped over it and went down on one knee as she quickly got out of the way. "Thanks for the warning man, I needed that." Dwayne said in relief as he helped Kenny up. "I'll say, thank you, Les' I really needed that right now." she said and he nodded smiling. "I know and you're welcome, but trust me we're used to this." he said as he pulled her up then.
"Nice warning, can he always do that, that's normal?" Linda called out from the bleachers and he nodded as Orion exchanged looks with Gordon. "Yeah that's normal, he never learned to do that he just does, but before Reilly could grab him up, Coach did. And he was our secret weapon, and till we added the sextet to the team." Charlie called back to her and she and her best friend Courtney Alexander nodded gently as Buckley crossed his arms, now realizing the dangers.
"Like I said 1 out of 5, Fulton." he said and Fulton nodded as they put 20 pucks on the rink floor. "Alright bro, shoot it out." he said and he started firing as 5 went into the goal, and the other 15, bounced off the walls of the rink and and broke two windows, before the next one hit the bar. "Look out!" Charlie shouted and they quickly got down as it hit the wall behind them and they nodded as the last three ended up in the visitors box and Buckley nodded in amazement.
"Peep!" they heard and he started laughing. "Yeah he was a bad egg." Charlie said as he and Connie started laughing at that response. "Bad egg went flying and finally smacked rock wall, but bad egg is needing a vet right now." Adam added and they all started laughing at that. "Bad egg can't fly yet, but good egg can swim, we're early swimmers and paddle, he's nested. Till he's full size, us, good eggs, are able to leave the nest and swim." Tammy said and he peeped.
"Yep, bad eggs are going at the opposing side, good eggs are you in black circle form, as baby flock right now. But that was a bad egg and that's a warning to black birds, not like us, want to get rough, you're being nested right now in medical kennel for a week." Orion said with a chuckle and they heard a peep of understanding. "Point made, bad egg needs a vet after smacking rock wall, but that had to hurt." he read through it gently and nodded smiling gently.
"Quack." they heard in response. "Alright ducklings stop making jokes, but what if that was your baby brother's egg that hit the wall Huey, you going to tease him, if he needs a vet." Gordon translated and they heard a peep in response. "I'll take that for a no, but there it is right now." Guy said and Orion nodded in agreement. "Peep" "Peep!" "Peep peep." they heard and Charlie started laughing. "Loser." Russ said and Charlie looked at him. "Shut up!" he said in annoyance.
"Make me." Russ said in response and they started laughing, as they heard a squabbling match start. "Alright you want to start something' 'Hey ow, alright that does it' thunk 'Dewey smack me one more time I'm throwing you in blue lake later, now knock it off!" Charlie and Russ translated going back and forth between the duo's remarks, before they heard it. "Quack!" they heard sternly in response to that. "Peep." they heard from 3 voices gently at that response.
"Alright knock it off boys, I am not kidding!" Orion said to translate that and Casey covered her eyes as she tried to control her laughter. "Yes dad." they said together and he nodded bemused at that as Madigan hid a chuckle, as Orion answered that remark. "Hey Charlie, someone lost a fluff of down for that bickering match, there's a feather on the bench." Linda said and they nodded. "Dewey smacked him hard enough to lose a feather." he said and they nodded gently.
"Peep." they heard in response. "I'm losing my down now, Dewey, you do that again, and you lose your's next, no need to get rough." Charlie translated and Russ translated the come back to that as they heard a peep from his brother. "Sorry Huey, but I was kidding, you didn't need to smack me, because I was teasing you." he said and he nodded. "Quack." they heard and Orion nodded. "Yes but I hear that again, you're both nested for a week." he translated to that then.
"If that was me, I'm rubbing the back of my head, after the wrestling match got out of hand, if I was an adult, I just lost a feather." he added and she chuckled and Orion nodded. "You saying he just smacked you a little too hard and some of your feathers, or down, came out?" he asked and he nodded as they heard a peep. "You guys don't need to get that rough with each other, you're losing feathers or down in the fight, so take it easy." he said bemused and he nodded.
As Donald quacked that to the trio and they heard a peep in three voices then to his remark. "As anyone said, monkey see, monkey do, and Donald is you dad, when you're working with us. Here, but currently our down faded and feathers are growing in." Charlie said and he nodded. "God it's days like this, I swear it doesn't pay to let your guard down, but this is ridiculous, but that's playful, the other is bullying, but guys, we're not doing this all week the following week."
"And after your first game, if Marks and Karp end up back on the team, especially you and Greg Russ, there is no need to antagonize David, because he blew it for us." he said and they all nodded. "Us or them, nothing changes right now, but there it is right now, what goes around comes around, and it's coming around now, as they become the but end. And of their own bullying with Charlie, Charlie is the best on the team." Connie said and Orion nodded smiling.
