"C'mere," Robbie says, arms outstretched as Joaquin painfully makes his way over to him.
"Ugh," he mumbles, burying his face in Robbie's neck. "I'm sore."
"I bet," he says quietly, massaging Joaquin's lower back, mindful of all the abuse it's taken the last few days. "C'mon, let's go inside, it's too windy out here." And it is, Joaquin's clothes billowing in the wind until Robbie guides him inside, closing the door securely behind them. Once they're inside and Robbie's eased Joaquin's jacket off of his shoulders, pushing it onto the coat rack by the door, he takes his hand and walks him inside.
"Robbie, what-" Joaquin stops short and stares. "Whoa," he mumbles. The living room is decorated pretty much from top to bottom- the tree is up, sparkling lights racing around it, various ornaments scattered here and there, a Christmas themed blanket is sprawled out over their couch, and there's garland trailing over every possible surface. "You did this while I was gone?"
"Yep." Robbie looks pleased with himself. "Didn't have a role in Deadline, so I took the opportunity and put this together while you were gone."
"It's incredible," Joaquin says, delicately touching a musical ornament instrument that he'd bought way back when he first began deejaying, before wrestling became something he could actually sustain himself off of. "Thank you. I wasn't sure if I'd find the time or energy to do it, and now just... it's all done."
"Yes, it is," Robbie says, walking up behind Joaquin and wrapping an arm around him, tugging him in tight. "Unless there's more you want to do leading up to the holiday, but I think it looks alright." He presses a kiss to the back of Joaquin's head, loud and obnoxious and just enough to make Joaquin laugh and squirm away.
"You're awful."
"And you love me anyway," Robbie says with a smug smirk, chasing after Joaquin to pull him back into his arms.
"I do," Joaquin admits, his eyes gleaming in the soft glow of the lights next to them. He grins and cradles Robbie's face in his hand before leaning in and kissing him deeply. "Absolutely."
"It's a good thing too," Robbie mumbles. "'Cause I love you as well."
Joaquin smiles and nuzzles into him for a few moments before turning his head to look at the Christmas decorations for awhile longer, warm and comfortable in his significant other's arms.
