.Next Saturday…
Yaz hopes everyone remembers the plan to make sure Ace and Graham sit next to each other. "Afternoon, Graham."
"Afternoon Yaz, how was the past few weeks?"
"Good, I went and visited my family before deciding to take a job with UNIT."
"I too started working with UNIT, maybe we might be able to work together."
Under her breath, "I don't think so."
"What was that?"
"Nothing, let's go in to see who's here."
"We may have a new member today, a Brian Williams who went on a few adventures with The Doctor."
"Ok, what does he look like?"
"Balding a little bit of sandpaper hair." They head inside and Graham sees Brian talking to Jo Grant-Jones as she is the only one there who has met his Doctor. What Graham doesn't know is that she is telling him about the seating plan. To make sure there is a chair available for Ace right next to him. As everyone grabs a seat Ace rushes in and Graham gives her a steaming cup of tea. He by then realized that everyone was conspiring to get him to sit next to Ace.
"Sorry I am late everyone, Betsie 2.5 is trying to break down again." She grabs her seat next to Graham. Ace is wearing a matching pantsuit to what Graham is wearing making them look like a couple.
"You named your car after the Doctor's car," asks Jo Grant.
"Not really one day when I got home from work years ago and there it was sitting in my driveway."
"The Doctor gave you a car?!"
"He also gave Amy and Rory a car and a house."
Laughingly Martha says, "We definitely know who were the favorites. During my time with him; he was love sick with Rose and his meta crisis version went with her to a parallel world."
"You guys had an adventure in a parallel world too?" Jo remembers hearing her Doctor got lost in one.
"I didn't but Mickey did."
"I even lived there for a few years, but decided to come here after my Gran died over there also. After saving this world I stayed and started dating Martha, who became my anchor." While sitting next to each other Ace and Graham's hands keep brushing the other, Yaz sneaks a picture to send it off to Tegan.
"I also wasn't a favorite, the amount of times he played me like a fool," Ace starts to get worked up, "when he first met me on Iceworld, he knew already that an old Viking Wolf was waiting to explode. He also repeatedly tricked me into doing his bidding. One time he took me to a house in 1883 that I burned down in my teen years, because I felt something evil there."
"He probably looked at you like he did Susan and Vicki." Ian points out remembering the two young ladies he knew way back when.
"You even called her an affectionate name when we showed up at headquarters a few months ago."
"They will always still be the Professor to me, even though it annoys them when I say it. When my Doctor connected with me while in the volcano, he did tell me that all children leave home eventually." Graham fights the urge to put his hand on her knees to make sure she is ok. "He recently visited me again with the same connection to be sure I was happy."
"Yours visited you? Mine hasn't done that with me." Yaz says, unhappy that she hasn't seen her Doctor yet.
"It took many years for most of us to see The Doctor again, some of us still haven't seen him. They just want to start and move on before they see you again."
"The last time Mickey and I saw him, we were fighting some Judon; it must've been right before he regenerated."
"My dad told me before he died, the Doctor came and visited him and told him he was about to begin his last regeneration and wanted to check in on all of his former companions. Little did we know that Clara Oswald would come into the picture and not long before he died talked to a crack in the wall and convinced the Time Lords to give him more regenerations. Who knows how many they have now."
"The Doctor loves all of us. When a rogue UNIT agent and the Shansheeth tried to fake his death, he said he loves all of us and always will."
"Around that time is when I took over UNIT, because the powers that be knew I would protect the Doctor and all the secrets due to my father."
"He was a good man. That helped out The Doctor a lot."
"I met him a few times, he didn't like that I was basically a kid when I was traveling with my Doctor." says Ace.
"The one that was basically a father to you."
"How about we stop teasing Ace and get to more stories about our times with the Doctor, I'll start with one of my least favorites. One day the TARDIS landed in the American South in the winter of 1955." Everyone but Yaz gasps guessing where the story was going. "I had to be that white passenger that led to Rosa Parks' arrest."
"Mine was when he and I went to my hometown and ended up fighting humans that were turning into cats. He stopped me from becoming one due to my heritage with Fenric. I thought he died at one point during that one. I was happy when the voice behind me said that was his. Talking about his hat and umbrella. I did lose a few friends that day."
"The Doctor wasn't the one that told me about Amy and Rory, it was their adopted son. Amy couldn't have any more kids of her own after she was kidnapped while pregnant with her daughter Melody who not only turned out to be their best friend Mels, also River Song the Doctor's wife."
"WHAT!?" Almost everyone screams in unison.
"Yes, married her, she somehow became part Time Lady and there was this woman set out to kill him for his name. I haven't seen River in a few years though." No one there knows what it's like losing everyone they loved from the Doctor there.
"How about to end this some of us say something interesting about their Doctors?"
"Mine and Mels played spoons and did magic tricks."
"Where is Melanie today?"
"She couldn't make it, didn't tell me why," says Ace with a shrug.
"The one I knew had an obsession with bow ties and hats, especially the fez hat."
"Fezzes are cool, I found one before on the TARDIS. I think and put it on."
"He thought of you then when he found one again then."
Cough , "daughter." Cough. Graham glares at Martha.
"What about yours Martha?"
"Only that he gave the Master another chance after everything he seemed to do. Oh and that he cared a little too much about his looks."
"Mine could only be caught in nice clothes. I also met the two previous, one of them loved playing the recorder and was angry with what happened to his recorder after the Time Lords brought the first three together."
"The first one hated London." The room bursts out with laughter. "It took until we defeated the Daleks that had a time ship sort of like the TARDIS, for Barbra and I to get back home."
"I also traveled with the one before the one that played spoons for a bit, he had this extremely colorful outfit."
"Tegan told me that hers wore a piece of celery in his lapel." Graham blushes thinking about what happened last night, "I also once found a long scarf in a wardrobe, that I was told that it used to belong to him. Also he would've told me about my heritage if he thought of me as a daughter."
"No he wouldn't, he basically forced Susan, his biological granddaughter out of the TARDIS. With that I know my grandson is waiting for me. Bye all, see you in a few weeks." Ian slowly gets up and walks to the door leaving everyone thinking what the Doctor did to his granddaughter. In shock everyone gets up and decides to pack up for the week.
Yaz's phone goes off, "nice job of getting them to sit next to each other, and nice picture of their hands." Yaz looks up to see the pair flirting.
"If they're trying to hide, they're not good at it." Yas snaps another picture of them and sends it off.
"The four of us are trying our hardest to get them to admit it, I am pairing them up on missions and looks like the three of you are conspiring for anything."
"That's right Kate, Nyssa is fine with getting them to admit it, but we need to slow down on the teasing."
"How bad were you and Tegan then?"
"Tegan just wants Ace to have what she has with Nyssa." Yaz looks at the TARDIS key around her neck still, "One of us deserves a happy ending."
"The Doctor can't be with a human as long as they are an ancient Time Lord that doesn't age." Kate tries to comfort Yaz.
"I know that now, I am just glad that Graham has finally found someone after Grace." They look back to Ace and Graham seeing them switch back to normal as they head over to them.
"When do you start at UNIT, Yaz?"
"In a few days."
"We may be able to go on a few more adventures together like old times."
"I have decided to pair up you and Ace for most future assignments. Yaz will work well with Osgoods."
"As in more than one, are they a married couple? I don't want to be a third wheel."
"No, they're not. It's confusing to explain what exactly they are, at least one of them is a Zygon." Ace looks at her watch realizing the time.
"I have got to go, see you three later. Tell Osgood I said hi." Graham stutters out an excuse and leaves a little bit after Ace.
"They must be going on another date." Yaz receives a nod in agreement.
"How are you really doing Yaz?"
"I am actually doing pretty well. Seeing how many people who traveled with the Doctor."
"That's good." Kate pats her arm and leaves to head back to the office.
