Just wanted to put out a warning about violence in this chapter.

"Somebody is in a good mood!" Foggy Nelson greeted Matt as the blind man walked through the door of their law firm's office, smiling ear to ear.

"Good morning to you, too!" His grin just got bigger.

"Who are you, and what did you do to my friend?" Foggy kept teasing him. Matt wasn't particularly happy in the past few years.

"Ok, Foggy. I'm fine, and feeling good today. It's a beautiful morning."

"Oh! I know this! You met a girl! And you like her!" Foggy said excited.

"Not exactly, but close." Matt avoided the truth, he can't just share it with Foggy who he's been seeing lately as his alter ego. Other than Claire, nobody knows his secret. "Yes, I met a girl, but we're not dating or anything like that. We just talked, that's all. But she was..." his smile grew wider.

"Uhhm..." Foggy said, nodding slowly, not believing a word. "I hope this one will last longer than a few nights. You really need a decent relationship. Something like we have." He smiled at Karen, their blonde assistant standing at her desk talking with someone on the phone.

"You're meant to be together." Matt smiled at him. Foggy and Karen were the perfect couple, and he was truly happy for them. Matt had feelings for Karen a couple years ago, and they went out on a date or two, but he realized that being a vigilante means sacrificing the normal things, like love, in order to keep his friends safe. So he pushed her away, and now seeing her with Foggy he's sure that was the right decision. They're perfect fit.

He hasn't even noticed so far that Anna is making him this happy. He keeps thinking of her more often, even he knew he shouldn't. Remembering her heartbeat speeding up when he touched her skin, her blushing when he hold her hand. How easy it was to talk to her, she was caring, gentle, and a very good fighter, which is rare to find all these in one person. Does she like him at all? According to the signs he's getting she definitely has some feeling toward him. Then he realized that she doesn't even know who he is. Doesn't even know his name, his face, nothing. How could possibly she like him? But still, there was this chemistry between them he only felt once years and years ago. He knew he needs to push these thoughts away, it's not like they have any future. He can't put her in danger by revealing his identity, she has enough problems as is. And probably no girl would want a man with this many issues anyway, too complicated as Claire said once. So it's better if he just focuses on their case with Foggy today, and don't daydream about impossible things.

The night came fast, and Anna only had to do two sales today. She was glad to cut her night short, so hurried to the boss's office. She was about to knock on the door when she heard him talking on the phone inside.

"Yes, this shipment is the most important right now, you two only focus on this. You only have a week to make sure the place will be secured. We're gonna receive 24 containers." There was a pause. "Yes, let's do that." Then he hung up the phone. Anna waited for a minute, then knocked on the door.

He opened it right away, looking pissed at her. "So, tell me again, why weren't you stop by last night? And where is the money?"

Anna explained him Robbie's attack, lying about the number of men he had with him. She didn't want the boss to know about her fighting abilities, or Daredevil's appearance. So she lied that Robbie wanted free drugs, but since her backpack was already empty, except that last amount for Aldo - who was actually Robbie - he couldn't steal anything from her, so let her go.

She gave him the money and rushed home. She was tired, it's been a busy week, but seeing Daredevil soon made her excited. She did her workout, practiced karate, took a shower, then laid down on her couch with her phone to do some research. She's been using her neighbors wifi, they never changed the default password on their router, so it was easy to figure it out, username admin, password admin, how dumb. She wanted to learn more about Daredevil, so punched it in Google. Thousands of articles showed up, mostly about him saving people, people thanking him saving them on various forums, a site where they're guessing about his identity, some others picking with the idea that he's not even human, or he came from another planet, there was a site with women drooling over him, posting pictures of his manly features. He has a lot of fans for sure. She scrolled the page back up to the site where people were guessing his identity and clicked on it. There were a few blurry pictures of Daredevil, mostly from security cameras, or newspaper articles, and a bunch of comments with pictures people took at various places thinking that they saw him. Some from grocery stores, some thought he was their neighbor, but nothing serious, just speculations. Anna started wondering about it. Who is he really? Is he someone doing this and being Daredevil 24/7? Or is he a regular guy, a husband with a wife and two kids? She jumped when she heard the knocking on her window, like a teenager caught on watching adult videos. She quickly turned her phone screen off and opened the window.

The masked man climbed through with ease. "Was the boss angry at you not stopping by last night?" He asked immediately without any greetings. Anna backed up a bit.

"I bent the truth a little and he accepted my explanation, so I think he's ok for now." She said, surprised by his business like manner. "I heard though that he's expecting a big shipment, the biggest so far, 24 containers. I'm not sure what's in them, but they supposed to arrive next week. I can find out more details later." She added quickly.

"24 containers, that's a lot of drugs, unless they smuggle guns or something else in them as well. Please don't do anything dangerous, I can look around as well to find the details of this."

"Ok, I already promised I will be careful."

"Do you know if they have other warehouses, similar to the one where they kept that kid last time? I would like to check them out tonight."

"Yes, they have 3 others what I know of. One of them has a bunch of security cameras. I had to pick up my deliveries there once. I guess they keep the drugs there, or making them there, either way there's something important in there to protect with all those cameras. It's on 58th Street." Anna replied.

"Thank you, I visit that place tonight." He said, and turned around to leave.

"Be careful, please."

Daredevil nodded, and jumped out of her window.

Her phone rang early in the morning, waking her up from a deep sleep.

"Hello." Her voice was hoarse from sleep.

"No deliveries tonight." Said the usual voice who's planning the drop-offs with her.

"Hey, Dan. What happened?" Anna was awake suddenly, this meant nothing good.

"That son of a bitch Black mask guy showed up last night at the warehouse. I don't know the details, but was a big gun fight and fire. Most of the product is gone." Dan said with an upset tone. "I'm lucky I wasn't there."

"That's awful. Did anyone died? Is Daredevil got caught?" She sounded worried, but from different reasons.

"I have no idea if we have any dead. He beat up most of the men there, they're all in the hospital. They shoot at the bastard, but don't know if they hit him or not. That's all I know. Boss is putting all the leftover men on capturing him if he's alive still."

"Well, hope he will get what he deserves." She lied, then hung up her phone. Gun fight? Fire? Is he ok? Did he get hurt? Is he still alive, or in some random dumpster right now? Anna started pacing in her tiny living room. She cursed herself that she didn't ask for his number.

Today passed with her being on the edge, night came and she stayed awake in her living room for a long time, falling asleep while sitting on her couch after a while. She woke up in the morning with her neck hurting. He didn't come last night. Maybe was just busy, or recovering from the previous night. She can't give up on him this easy, he didn't say when he's gonna show up next time, so she shouldn't think of the worst. He's fine, and when he shows next time she needs to have something more specific on that shipment next week.

Since it's her day off, she decided to go to the boss's office, maybe she can find something there. He was up all night she was sure of that, dealing with the warehouse incident, so probably he's home sleeping right now. She dressed and headed to the office, which was basically a single wide manufactured home dumped on an empty lot.

There was no answer after knocking on the door twice, so she tried opening it. Obviously it was locked. She walked quietly around the building, checking every window, hoping one will be unlocked. Of course no such luck. There was a crawl space underneath since the thing was sitting on cement blocks, dark and full of spider webs and who knows what else, so she decided that's gonna be the last resort. She wasn't excited about getting stuck in a shallow dark space with creatures living there. The back door was locked as well, but there was a dog door on it, sized for Boss's big dog. A man wouldn't fit through, but a 100lbs woman maybe. She pushed the flap in to peek inside, then rotated her head a few times, trying to find the right angle to fit it through, finally succeeding. She said a quiet thank you for her small boobs, first time for everything - she laughed inside. It wasn't too acrobatic, more like an embarrassing crawl, but she made it through. She knew that Boss doesn't have cameras here, this was his place and he didn't like being watched. So she assumed she won't find anything valuable here, but maybe there's something valuable for her.

She walked straight to the room where his desk was, and started flipping through the content of the filing cabinet. Lots of papers of sale documents, about properties, renter buildings, furniture, various types of fruits and fish, but couldn't find anything about drugs or guns. She took a few photos of some documents, who knows maybe it will come in handy later.

Anna was a bit disappointed. His desk drawers were locked. She wasn't a super spy, so had no clue how to pick locks. But maybe she could pry the drawer open? She looked for something strong and flat, and came across a metal ruler under a covered whiteboard. She picked it up, slid it in, and pushed it down. It moved the drawer a little, but not enough to open it, then the ruler bent. "Shit." She dropped it, looking around for something better, when her eyes stopped on that same covered whiteboard again. She grabbed the sheet and removed it, to reveal a map. It looked similar to those fire escape routes in hotels and public buildings, except this wasn't just showing the inside of a building.

She fished her phone out from her pocket and took multiple pictures of it, then studied it a little more. There were times and dates written on some of the red lines ending in arrows, like a timestamped route. All dates were next week, Friday. After stepping back a little she realized the shape of the building was awkward. Looked more like a boat, or a ship. "This is it!" She smiled, then heard men talking in the distance.

She panicked right away, and rushed toward the back door, but it was too late. The front door's lock turned, so she jumped to the left into another room and hid behind the couch there. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and it felt really hot in here all of a sudden. She was hoping it's not the boss, and especially his dog isn't with him. He would sniff her out here right away. She heard them talking Russian, but none of the voices belonged to the boss. They came straight to the room she was hiding, so she lowered herself completely to the ground, forcing her lips together. There was some rustling sound, and they picked up something, maybe boxes and walked out with them. Anna pierced her ears, and finally heard the door lock behind them. She let out a big breath, was she breathing so far?

She was about to leave when realized she let the board uncovered. So hurried back to that room, dropping the fabric back on it. Her eyes caught on the sight of the now bent ruler. After quickly thinking on it she grabbed it and moved it to the room where she was hiding and the boxes were. She stepped on it to straighten it as much as she could and left it there. Hopefully boss will think those guys moved it there and bent it while lifting the boxes up with it, or something like that. Still better than leave it next to his desk drawers.

She squeezed herself through the dog door, not wanting to leave the back door unlocked behind her, and hurried back to her place.

She went to visit her Dad in the afternoon, as usual on her day offs. His condition didn't change, but seemed like he still recognized her at least.

She used the end of her day off relaxing on her couch while mindlessly browsing the web on her phone. She found a post from someone thanking Daredevil saving her in the alley last night, which put her mind at ease that he's safe. Then she peaked around the room before clicking on that adult webpage of women talking about Daredevil. The pictures on this site were from the same security cameras as the others, except zoomed in on his butt, or biceps, mouth, abs. She narrowed her eyes on one blurry photo, agreeing with the woman who posted saying he has a nice butt.

"You shouldn't leave your window open." Came the familiar deep voice behind her. She jumped and dropped her phone in the process, desperately reaching for it to catch in the flight, but failing. It landed on the carpet in front of her, so she nervously picked it up, blushing red already, and hoping he didn't see the screen.

"It's getting warm in here and if you haven't noticed, this place doesn't have air conditioner." She replied after clearing her throat in embarrassment, putting her phone down on the small coffee table. He jumped inside, but just standing by the window with an unusual nervous expression. "Just wanted to check if everything is ok with you."

She stood up and refilled her glass in the kitchen and picked a second glass out from her cabinet. "I'm good actually, having a day off. Which calls for celebration, because I don't get these too often. I don't have anything to drink but water, so we have to use our imagination on that." She smiled while walked up to the table and placed the glasses on it. He finally pushed himself off of the windowsill, and sat down on the usual chair.

She raised her glass. "Imagine this is the best Champagne you've ever had. To day offs!"

He laughed, seems like the tension has left his shoulders a little. "To day offs!" he copied her motion.

It was nice to see him relax a little bit, and Anna was worried it's gonna change soon when he finds out where she was today. So tried delaying that information.

"And I have to thank you for this day off actually. Boss wasn't happy to lose most of his products in some fire."

"Did he do anything to you? Any signs that he suspects where the tip came from?" He asked, tensing a little.

"No, but he's very pissed at you. Dan said Boss is putting all his resources on capturing or killing you. I'm sure he doesn't want any surprises during next Friday's shipment."

"So you found out it's gonna happen next Friday?"

She hid her face in both palms, she was really hoping to delay this a little longer, but sometimes she talks before thinking.

"Yes, they expect it to arrive at 1am Friday, at Pier 88. They'll move the containers to big trucks to distribute them to his warehouses, but I'm not sure which warehouses those gonna be." She rushed it, hoping he won't ask where the info came from. No such luck. He tilted his head, but she didn't know he was listening to her nervous heartbeat.

"So did that Dan guy tell you all of this?"

Anna turned red, nervously scratching her palms in her lap. Eventually she looked up at him, seeing he still has his head tilted like focusing on something. She sighed, didn't want to lie to him.

"No. I broke into Boss's office to see if I find anything useful there."

"Anna!" He snapped, louder than he wanted to, standing up from his seat and hitting the table with his fist. She shivered of the sound. But she was reckless, she needed to understand what's on risk here. He lowered his voice when continuing. "You promised me not to do anything dangerous!"

"We needed this information! And it wasn't that dangerous! I knew he had a busy night and won't be at the office that morning. I wasn't in any danger!" She stopped there for a second, and saw him tilting his head again, his body tensing up again.

"I mean, it wasn't that dangerous. Really, I'm fine, I didn't blew my cover, and nobody knows I was there."

His breathing slowed down a bit. "I don't want you to get hurt." This time his voice was much lower and she felt the concern in it.

"I know, but the longer I'll work for them the higher the chance I will get hurt. I need to get out as soon as possible."

"Yes, but alive." He stayed quiet for a while, squeezing his lips together. "Please don't do anything like this again, it isn't worth risking your life. Just do what you supposed to do and keep your ears open if you hear anything useful. I will do the spying."

Anna huffed, but didn't want to argue more, he probably a better spy than she is anyway. He looks scary when angry, and didn't like being on the receiving end. So decided to change the topic from her spying activity.

"So, do you have a plan for next Friday's shipment?" She asked. "I'm pretty sure after that warehouse incident boss will keep the security very tight, and probably move all his men to the pier."

"Other than keeping you alive until then?" He made a grimace at her. "Most likely I sneak in to check those containers, then beat the men up for the police to find. There will be enough evidence right there to put them away for a lifetime. I hope your boss will be present for this."

"He still has an army left you know?"

"I count on it."

The weekend passed fast with Anna being very busy at both of her jobs. She didn't hear from the Daredevi, but she had the feeling someone is watching her. Maybe just her paranoia, but she preferred to think it's him.

Lucy wasn't happy with the fact that she's still working for the drug cartel, so she's been trying to push the lawyers on her more and more. She was thankful not to hear from Robbie since that attack, and nobody else was trying to hurt her. She was listening to everything the boss and his men were saying, but no new information popped up. Until Thursday afternoon. She was already tense because of tonight, and had to be careful not to snap at Lucy at work, when her phone rang. She didn't recognize the number, so walked to the back of the store to answer.

"Anna, I will need you at Pier 88 tonight at midnight." Boss's sharp voice hit her ear.

"T-tonight?" She panicked. "Is there a drop-off for me there?" She pretended she didn't know about the shipment.

"No, we're getting a shipment, nothing for you to worry about, but I need you there to be one of the eyes."

"Like guarding the shipment? I don't think I'm the guard type."

"Hahaha" the boss laughed. "Of course not. You just need to stay at your post and call me if you see anybody suspicious. That's all."

When she didn't reply he added. "This is an order, I'm not asking. You don't really have a choice."

"I... I will be there." Finally she babbled it and hung up.

At 10pm she was pacing in her small living room. She needs to move the furniture to create more space, because she tends to do this more often lately. Her window was wide open, hoping to get a visit from Daredevil and tell him she's gonna be there. He could sneak in to the ship through the area she's watching out for. But the clock hit 11:30pm and he hasn't showed, and she couldn't wait any longer. It was about 30 minute walk to the pier. She was already dressed in black pants and a black hoodie, figuring this way she will look more "professional" for the Boss, but mostly more hidden from anyone else, especially from the police.

There were already dozens of people running around the pier when she got there and she saw a huge ship arriving from the distance. She was wondering if Daredevil is already here watching the scene, or maybe will show up later.

"Good, you're here. Boss appreciates you're on time." Dan yelled at her while rushing up to her. "Let me show you where your post is, come with me." As she started following him she looked back at her shoulders to see the men who were running around with machine guns a minute ago actually were running to various places to hide. Probably to wait for Daredevil.

Dan lead her to Pier 89, where there was a small empty ship. They walked up there and he handed her a binocular. "You should be able to see everyone approaching from this direction with these. They have heat sensor in them, so darkness or walls don't matter. Here's the radio, set to our channel. Push down that button and we'll hear you talking. You also can hear us, but it's only one way at a time. Warn us when you see anybody, especially Daredevil. Boss can't wait to use his new weapon on him."

Anna took the items and watched him disappearing in the darkness before she could ask what new weapon. She looked into the device to see the people hiding behind barrels, also counting the ones on the now arrived ship. "Daredevil, I wish you could hear me. There's more people in there what I thought would be, probably at least 30 on the ship, 20 on the pier, but could be even more, and Boss has a new weapon to use it on you. Please be careful." She said it out loud, just to herself, not knowing that he was actually listening to every word. Just a few seconds later she saw a red and yellow person figure through the binoculars swimming up toward the ship, then climbing up to the back of it. Her heart started beating fast. That's smart of him, everyone is expecting him to arrive from the front. She saw him taking down people one by one, making his way toward the middle of the ship. Her hands were shaking while holding the binoculars, as he approached a possible room with at least a dozen men inside. She was surprised that they didn't notice him still, like he would know exactly where the enemy is, even before entering a room. Maybe he truly has x-ray vision, or something similar to this fancy device she's holding? He cleared the room smoothly, delivering kicks and punches like a ninja, she saw the bodies on the floor now, but he was still moving around in that same room. Must be checking the containers. She saw new people approaching the room, and like he was reading her thoughts he moved to hiding right away. She saw him flying with kicks and knocking out the newcomers. She was so focused on him, that didn't notice the other two men walking down at the back of the ship from the second floor to the first. She jumped as a loud voice yelled from the radio. "We're under attack! He's here, somewhere on the ship! We found several of our men down!"

Suddenly the radio went busy.

"Where are you exactly?"

"First floor, at container #12. There are a dozen guys unconscious!"

There was someone started yelling in the radio in Russian, and they all switched to that language. Anna was snapping her head left and right watching as big groups of people rushing toward the middle of the ship. More guys showed up with cars running up to the ship. They're surrounding him from multiple directions. She saw him backing out from the room fighting with two men. The groups finally arrived all around him, and he backed up to the railing by the end of the ship. There's no way he can fight this many. He was still fighting with someone, moving around fast, which is why most likely nobody shoot at them. Nobody wanted to risk shooting their own. Except Boss. She heard him through the radio, speaking English this time. "Frank, kill him, now!" She heard a loud shot, wasn't even sure where it's coming from, but not from the ship for sure. The masked man was wrestling with two guys at the same time, until the bullet hit him in the chest, while first going through one of the guys he was fighting with. He immediately stepped backwards, and tipped over the rails falling into the water. The other men standing there started shooting the water where his body disappeared underneath.

She heard the victory yell from the ship, and desperately checking the waves with the device, seeing his body being washed away from the ship. He was swimming under the water toward the pier she was on for a while, then he went still, his body was being washed to the direction of the shore.

She heard her name through the radio, so clumsily dropped the binoculars into her pocket and picked the other device up. "Anna, stay where you are and watch for him in case he survived this. We need to finish emptying this ship."

Anna pushed the button. "Copy." Then clipped it to her pants and ran down the ship to the deck. Checked the water again with the binoculars, looking for his body. When she didn't find anything, she rushed down underneath the pier to the shore. There he was, washed out there motionless.

"Oh my God!" Anna rushed up to him, turning him facing up. There was blood everywhere, one bullet hole in his chest. She checked his pulse, but there was nothing, so she tilted his head to the side and started doing CPR. "Come on! I can't save you if you're dead! Please, don't give up, I need you alive to heal you!" She checked his pulse again, but there was none, so kept going. "Come on, come on, please!" She was crying, she felt her tears dripping like a heavy rain on her hands while kept pushing down his chest. She started sobbing loud, lifted both hands up in a fist and hitting him as hard as she could. There was a big cough, water coming out from his mouth and a sharp inhale, his head lifted just a little, then dropped back down. She moved her ears closer to his nose to feel a weak, scattered breathing. The bullet must have punctured his lungs as well. She sat closer and placed both hands on his bullet wound. She didn't waste much time with the loud noises she heard this time, even if most of them belonged to the Russians nearby. She quickly ignored the smell of the gun powder, blood, and opioids, to hit by the excruciating pain of bullet wound and the loss of ability to breath. She started coughing while trying to catch her breath, bending forward on top of him, while still forcing her hands to his wound. "Come on Anna, you can do this." She felt his pulse getting weaker again, and she knew she's going to lose him if she's focusing too much on the lack of air. She took a big breath in, and let it out slowly. She's not dying, her lungs are fine, these are just feelings, nothing more. She needs to do this. She closed her eyes and let all his pain in her, grinding her teeth, when finally she started feeling her palm heat up. So she let the heat leave her body, to heal him. She started feeling cold, but she knew it wasn't enough yet, so forced herself to keep her hands glued to his chest. She started shivering, then after a minute of shaking, she lost consciousness and collapsed forward on top of his body.

Matt was dreaming. He usually doesn't see pictures in his dreams anymore, but this dream was crystal clear. He saw the dark ocean waves, pleasantly moving around him. He was drowning, but felt calm and happy. Felt like all the tension and worries leaving his body. He felt relaxed, so spread his arms out to test the water. He squinted from the sudden brightness shining through the waves. What is that? He wasn't sure, but it was beautiful, so he started swimming toward it. He smiled, and knew he finally found the real happiness, so sped up his stokes. He almost reached the top where the light was coming from when someone grabbed his heels and gave him a big pull back down. No! The light! It's disappearing! He struggled to get back, but was unable to. He felt a sharp pain in his chest, and he wasn't in the water anymore. Tried to breathe and talk but it caused more pain. Then he heard someone's talking, he liked her voice, but she seemed upset, maybe crying. Is it because what he did? He didn't want to upset her, and wanted to apologize, but unable to form any words. He felt her gentle touch, and he smiled inside. The light, it's back again. But this time it was different. This light started calming him down, his scattered breathing became even and his freezing body started warming up. He was barely feeling the pain anymore. This must be heaven, but he's not supposed to be here. He doesn't deserve to be here. He wanted to argue and tell this angel that he's not worthy, but still wasn't able to talk. He was tired, so so tired. Maybe could sleep, just a little, then he will be back at saving the city. He saw the ocean from the shore, and focused on the gentle waves. Then he saw her, like really saw her, not just her voice and smell, but her actual face and body, so real like she was here and he was able to see with his eyes. How is this possible? Something is wrong here, he can't see. He felt some weight on his own body, so reached out carefully to touch her arm. She was cold, and still. His senses slowly waking up and he heard her slow heartbeat and felt her breathing at his neck. He slowly moved his gloved hand up and down her side, caressing her gently. She didn't move, so he stayed there and tried to think what happened and where they are. His eyes snapped open under his mask when the realization hit him. He was on the ship, and he knew Anna was there nearby on watch duty. He didn't see the bullet coming, it was a sniper, professional, and he wasn't focusing on the far distance, only his fighting distance. Anna was right, he had a full army there, but he could've handled them. Except that sniper, he was good. He got shot, then everything turned black. She must've saved him, again. She felt so cold, so he wrapped his arms around her tiny body. She moaned quietly into his neck and he smiled.

They stayed there what felt for a long time. He heard the Russians finishing up emptying the ship, but most likely forgot about the girl on watch duty, because they never came checking on her. Finally he felt her shift a little to let out another moan.

Anna opened her eyes, feeling very tired, like she was coming down with a bad cold. She moved her right palm a little to feel what is there, when she felt muscles underneath her fingers. Oh, she's having one of those dreams! She thought, but someone was caressing her back and it felt much better than any of those dreams, so realistic. She slowly opened her heavy eyes to see the neck of a man. It wasn't completely dark, the sun was just about to come up on the horizon, so she lifted her head to stare straight to the covered face of the masked man. His mouth curved into a small smile.

"Oh my God, you're alive!" She bursted out loud, dropping her head back on his chest and giving him a big but weak hug around his waist for long minutes.

"You were dead, and I wasn't sure you'd make it this time. You didn't have a heartbeat!" She swallowed hard. "I... I can't heal you if you're not..." her voice broke off, and tears started falling. "I'm so glad you're alive!"

"I'm sorry." He hugged her closer to his body. She felt so fragile and small in his arms. "I'm sorry I scared you."

She was sobbing for a few more minutes, then slowly started calming down as listening to his steady heartbeat in his chest. She didn't know she cared about him this much. Maybe they just started to grow on each other as time goes by. All she knew was she would love to stay here with him forever. But she can't. They needed to leave soon, so she forced herself to untangle her arms and sat up. He followed her suit, supporting himself with his arm behind himself. His head was spinning just sitting up. Anna hugged her knees around her arms while sitting in a curled up pose, she felt cold after loosing his warmth.

"Boss had a new weapon, that sniper. I swear I didn't know about it, I'm so sorry." Anna said quietly.

"It wasn't your fault, you couldn't have known. I didn't pay attention to the farther distance. He must have been on the other pier, definitely a professional. He killed the man I was fighting with just to shoot me."

"We're nobodies to Boss, his men's lives don't matter, only his interest. I heard him giving the order."

"Next time I will be ready for him." Daredevil said. He heard the last car was leaving with the Russians. "So, what you said about you can't heal someone if... the person is dead?"

"I only can heal what the body can heal, just speeding up the process. I can't heal permanent injuries, like lost limbs, or if the heart stops beating completely." Her tears started threatening on the thought of losing him.

He felt it and hugged her to his chest. It felt good, and she turned her head a little to hear his steady heartbeat again, the sound she loved the most. He started thinking about his dream. He saw her, but she just said she can't heal permanent conditions, like blindness. Which meant that dream wasn't real, and he didn't really see her. His heart sank, he would give everything to be able to see her just for a second.

"Do you think you can walk?" He asked concerned after a couple minutes.
