Chapter 2
...
Usopp POV
"Yohohohohohoho! What was that sound?" Brook asked.
"Over there!" Usopp pointed. "Is it them?"
"Y-you mean the pacifistas?"
"Probably," Franky said."
"Shouldn't we go? What if the others need help?" Usopp asked.
"G-go?" Chopper said.
"Don't worry, Chopper. The Great god Usopp will protect you!"
"No," Franky said. "We need to repair the ship. We need to get out as soon as we can. Besides, our team is strong."
"He's right," Brook said. "Yohoho! Lets get back to work, then!
...
Sanji POV
"-nji? Sanji wake up," Nami shook him lightly.
"Nami-san?"
"Do you feel better?" She asked.
Sanji sat up, and winced in pain. "Not at all."
He stood up through the pain. "We should get moving. We don't want another attack."
Nami turned and looked at the view. Everything was in ruins. "Where is everyone?"
"Probably fled. I saw life boats on the way in. They most likely new something like this would happen. They were prepared."
He continued, "I guess that's good for us. A bigger battlefield. Anyways, let get going."
"Where?" She asked.
"It's obvious we can't leave without a fight."
"But your injured!"
"This is nothing," Sanji said. "It might be worse, but this can't kill me. Lets go to the center of the island. That where the base is. Hopefully the others will realize and meet us there."
Sanji realized Nami had given him his jacket back. He grabbed a jacket off the floor and handed it to Nami. "Wear this. It's probably from one of the shops, or whatever is left of them."
She took the jacket, then they headed towards the center.
...
Luffy POV
After the pacifistas had destroyed everything, Luffy went looking for them. He thought that maybe he should go to the coast, and swim underwater to the base, then he realized he couldn't swim. So, he kept walking around, hoping to find the base or his crew.
...
Robin POV
"Pacifistas," Robin said.
Zoro nodded his head in agreement. "What now?"
"We fight them," Zoro said. "That's what Luffy would do."
"You're right," she said.
"But where do we go?" Zoro added.
"The center of the island. That's where the base is."
"Lets go then. We'll probably find the others-"
"What is it?" Robin said in a low voice.
"Someone's here," Zoro whispered. He unsheathed his swords.
They moved a bit closer to where the footsteps were coming from. Then... They saw something: blonde hair?
"It's just you," Sanji said. "Phew."
Nami sighed in relief. Zoro sheathed his swords.
"What happened to you?" Zoro asked Sanji.
"Pacifistas," he said, then slumped to the ground, his back against a tree.
Then, they heard another sound. They hoped it was Luffy, but it wasn't.
"Great," Zoro said, "you summoned them."
Sanji stood back up, wincing in pain.
"I got this," Zoro said. He unsheathed his swords again.
He tried fighting the pacifistas, but all their attacks were aimed at Sanji, so he had to dodge a few daggers.
"Why won't they come for me?" Zoro asked.
"They're targeting me," Sanji replied. "Aim for the back of their neck. Thats where their power switches are located."
Zoro took them out one by one.
"Lets leave before more come. They probably have the stronger ones hidden," Zoro said after he took them all out.
He walked to his crew. "Get up, cook. We gotta leave."
Sanji stood in pain, then fell. Before he hit the ground, Zoro caught him and carried him over his shoulder. "I'm not letting you slow us down," Zoro said, but Sanji had already passed out.
...
Sanji POV
Sanji woke up feeling better. He took his bandages off and looked at his wound. Still hurts, but it's better, Sanji thought. It'll do.
"Are you feeling better, Cook-san?" Robin said.
"Define better, but yeah."
He continued, "Where are we?"
"We moved closer to the center, then we took a break. Zoro is scouting."
Sanji sat up. As if on cue, Zoro came back.
"Finally up, huh?"
"Shut up, moss-head."
"Whatever, dart-brow."
"Anyways," Nami interrupted, "What now? Seems like we've been asking that question a lot."
Suddenly, Sanji got up, grabbed Nami, and dove. If he hadn't, a dagger would have hit Nami.
"More?" Zoro said.
"These look stronger," Sanji informed.
"Like you need to tell me," Zoro replied.
Before they could fight, they heard someone coming. It sounded like...
"Luffy!?" They all said.
Luffy came in quick talking out the three pacifistas in front of them with Gear 3. Then, he landed in front of them.
"Hey! It's you guys!" Luffy said. "Where are the others?"
"Making repairs on the ship," Nami said. "But thank God, Luffy!" She ran and hugged him.
"Huh?" What'd I do?" He said. "Anyone have any meat?"
They ignored him.
"Anyways, since you're here now," Sanji said, "What do we do, Capt-"
Sanji fell to the ground in pain. Another dagger hit him straight in the chest.
"There's even more?" Nami said.
"But how?" Zoro said. "I would have noticed with my Haki."
"They're..." Sanji said in between breaths, "too fast."
He pulled the dagger out of his chest, causing him more pain. But this time it was worse. He felt his insides burning.
"What-what is this?" Sanji said.
"It's poison," a loud voice said: a pacifista. "You'll be dead within a day if you don't have the cure."
It continued, "Finally we have you, Vinsmoke."
"You..." Luffy walked straight towards the pacifista. "You don't get to hurt my friends."
"We're not here for you, Straw Hat. Give us the Vinsmoke and we'll gladly leave you alone."
Luffy didn't answer. Instead, he fought. With amazing speed, Luffy took out one pacifista. He went to 2nd Gear, then 3rd, then Armament Haki... Soon, he defeated 4 pacifistas. Zoro pinned the last one down. Luffy walked to the last pacifista.
"Where do I find the cure?" He demanded.
"I'm not telling you," the pacifista answered. "I have no feelings. I don't care if you defeat me. I only have one goal."
"Useless," Zoro muttered, then stabbed the pacifista in the back of the neck, powering it off.
They walked back to the rest of their team.
"Sanji!" Nami said.
Blood was dripping down his shirt, and he coughed up blood.
"We have to get him to Chopper," Nami said. "Zoro, you take him back to the ship. The rest of us will find the base."
"What? Why me? I can fight too."
"You might encounter more pacifistas on the way back. At least for us, we have Luffy. Just don't get lost."
Zoro muttered something under his breath, carried Sanji over his shoulder, and found his way back to the ship.
