Chapter T

BEEP BEEP BEEP, a hand sneaks out and turns off the alarm.

"Man I have got it bad, I hope he loves me too." Ace swings her feet out of the bed and heads downstairs.

"Morning Ace."

"Morning Tegan."

"How did you sleep?"

"Really good, how about you?"

"The usual." Nyssa stumbles into the room and Tegan hands her a cup.

"Thank you," she sits down next to her wife.

"Would the two of you like some breakfast?"

"MMM brain is not awake yet, give me a few minutes."

With a laugh at her wife who is not a morning person sometimes, "We would love some breakfast Ace." She gets out eggs and batter to make pancakes and eggs. "You must've slept well if you are making breakfast on a Monday."

"I am not allowed to make breakfast for two of my closest friends the first day they start at a new job?"

"You are, I am just pulling your leg Ace."

Throwing her head back with a smile while mixing the batter, "I know that Tegan, just remember what comes around goes around," with a wink she goes back to making breakfast.

After half a cup Nyssa is more awake, "Oh you're making us breakfast?"

"Yes Nyssa, I am. Pancakes and eggs for your first day at UNIT."

"You don't have to do that."

"I know that."

"You know Ace," Tegan starts to say, "you could always bring some for Graham."

"I may just do that, depending how many are left over, I am not making too much." She says while swinging the spatula a little bit.

"Are we the first to officially know about the two of you?" Ace shakes her head.
"Why not?"

"It was Ryan, Graham's step-grandson. He found out a few days before you got back."

"So the actual family found out first."

"You are right, so you know Yaz and company don't know yet. I also don't think we should tell her about your Doctor visiting you. As of the last meeting she hasn't been visited yet, and I was told by my hologram it won't be for a while."

"I agree, we want Yaz to be happy and able to move on easier than we all did." Suggests Tegan.

"It is harder to move on when you are in love."

"You two got lucky that The Doctor's deceased wife got ahold of The TARDIS and brought Nyssa back to earth."

Walking into headquarters Tegan starts to sing, Trisha Yearwood's, 'She's In Love With A Boy'

'she's in love with the boy,
and even if they run away she's gonna marry that boy some,'

Ace elbows her in the stomach. "I want to be the one to tell him, not you and not you by the words of Trisha Yearwood."

Nysaa whispers in Ace's ear, "You elbowed her right before she finished, marry that boy someday. You may want to tell him soon. You know Tegan is just going to keep this up and imagine what songs she will sing off key in his presence."

"Oh god, Tegan can we be professional at work please? You can tease me at home. He should hear it from me. It doesn't even have to be like one of my dreams last night." With that Ace walks away for her two friends starring after her admitting that she dreams of telling Graham how she feels. "Hello Graham, how was your weekend?"

"Perfect, got to see Ryan and spend time with someone wonderful," he winks at her, "How about you, how was your weekend?"

"Great," she smiles, "picked up friends from the airport, met someone who I hope I will get to see more, as I get to know their grandfather, and had another perfect date." They don't see Yaz in the corner watching them. "Maybe I can get another date soon, and talk with him."

"You can always talk to him, and he is looking forward to seeing you again."

"That's good. Did he hear what her friends were saying as they entered today?"

"No, he did not, is that good?"

Ace smiles, "He will hear it eventually from me, so yeah it is good."

"Good." They share a smile before they head to their computers to start the day.

"What are you staring at Yaz?" Martha comes up behind her.

"Those two," She gestures to Ace and Graham whose desks got moved together during their days off. "Just had a weird conversation referring to themselves in everything but the first person."

"You may want to know that Tegan was singing a love song towards Ace when they entered the building."

"That must be what she has to tell him, that she loves him. Which is clear he loves her too."

"At least it seems that they are not hiding from everyone anymore, it is getting irritating and Graham can't hide his protective side of her from anyone." Graham looks up to see Martha, he and Ace share a look as he gets back up.

"Hey Martha, I wanted to apologize for my actions at the last meeting."

"It's ok, Mickey gets the same way, well at least he used to before he learned I could handle myself better than anyone he knew but The Doctor." Graham thinks to himself and knows Ace is the same.

"I still have got to apologize, it is not right to glare at people the way I glared at you."

"Maybe you should tell the class why you glared at her." Yaz teases.

"Someone was ready to move on and it wasn't being let go."

"I am going to get to work and let you two hash it out, I am only going to be here half the day so I can be with my sick son."

"Are you admitting to being in a relationship with Ace; Graham?"

"I keep my professional and personal life separate. Now Yaz, let's get to work." Graham walks away from her getting tired of the young woman's antics. While Ace and Graham are at lunch a few blocks away.

"I should tell you, I did tell Nyssa and Tegan about us."

"I am fine with that, I want the world to know I am dating you."

"I want everyone to know too."

"Yaz doesn't know yet, because I didn't want to tell her at work." They start to head back. Ace pulls him into an alleyway and pushes him up against a wall and lays one on him.
