A few more days had gone by. Right now, both siblings slept comfortably in their nest. They've spent a lot of time training lately, so of course they were tired.

The Dark Matter slowly opened one of this eyes, he jumped and stumbled backwards when he noticed Lord Zero stare back at him.

"You can relax, as you're not the one I'm here for!" Lord Zero said sternly. It was one of the few times that the Dark Matter was thankful that he couldn't talk, otherwise he would've screamed right now.

"What?" Brother woke up with a groggy look in his eye, it took him a moment to realize that someone else was there. "Oh! What can I do for you, My Lord?"

"I need you to accompany Mystery Matter on another mission." Lord Zero explained. "There's a planet full of machines that I need her to look into...But since she cannot actually 'look', I need you to be her eye."

"I understand, My Lord." Brother said respectfully. "But I must ask...what about my Brother's training?"

"Well...He could either train with me or he could train by himself. That's not a problem...is it?" Lord Zero asked as he looked at the Dark Matter, who quickly shook his head.

"Don't worry, Brother...We'll be back before you know it," the Dark Matter's brother assured him. Lord Zero looked at him with his eye narrowed. "I wouldn't throw around such positivity in my presence if I were you."

"Yes, My Lord." Brother said in a much quieter tone. He looked at the Dark Matter with a warm expression. "In the meantime, please take care of yourself while I'm gone...OK?"

The Dark Matter nodded as his brother left the nest. Of course he wasn't able to hug his brother before he left, especially since Lord Zero was here, but he was sure that his brother was going to be OK.

"So how HAS your training been going?" Lord Zero asked. "Have you learned anything useful, yet?"

Of course the Dark Matter stayed silent. Lord Zero sighed in annoyance. "I guess I should've known that idiot would have trouble teaching you anything! But no matter, you are welcome to visit my nest should you actually want to learn something"

With that said, Lord Zero left the nest, which left the Dark Matter all by himself. If he were being honest, though, he really didn't want to spend any time with Lord Zero. Still, without Brother there was hardly anyone else who would want to train him.

...On the plus side, though, maybe Brother will come back with some new treasure? Maybe he'll even bring a new book or two?

...Wait! The Dark Matter couldn't read, and neither could Brother...but maybe Lord Zero could read it? It was worth a shot, at least.

With that in mind, the Dark Matter grabbed the book and he hovered towards the direction of Lord Zero's nest. Surely, he must be able to know something about this book...right?

It took him a little bit, but the Dark Matter was able to find Lord Zero's nest on his own. Unlike last time, there were no siblings here at the moment. Despite not being "connected", Lord Zero looked as if he knew the Dark Matter would come over.

"I'm surprised you were able to find my nest...so tell me, did you need anything?"

The Dark Matter nodded as he placed the book down in front of his creator, he turned it to a random page and hoped that Lord Zero could read it.

"So he brought that book back from a previous mission, is that it?" Lord Zero asked. "I must confess...Although I know many things, Lord Void has not blessed me with the ability to read."

So Lord Zero couldn't read, either...Great.

"However, the book DOES contain pictures. If you could turn the pages for me, then I might have an idea of what this book is about."

The Dark Matter nodded as he slowly turned the pages of the book. He still couldn't quite understand what the pictures meant, but Lord Zero seemed to know something.

"I see...either that idiot found this in a former Fairy colony, or the people who wrote this met the Fairies at one point.

The Dark Matter gave him a confused look, what was this about Fairies?

"That dumbfounded look on your face tells me that you don't know about the Fairies...do you?"

The Dark Matter shook his head. He'd heard his siblings talk about them here and there, but he didn't know much about them.

"They're a race of beings who learned how to harness the light energy within these magical crystals. I do not know how or why, but they've used these crystals against us in the past. They live on a planet called 'Ripple Star', so when the time comes for you to start going on missions, you'd best avoid Ripple Star at all costs.

Of course, only a real idiot would try to take over such a place! And besides, a Dark Matter going into a world full of nothing but light sounded like...well, they may as well have began a new life at that point.

"So now that you're here, I suppose we should start your training!" Lord Zero said sternly. The Dark Matter nodded without a second thought.

"Right...well, first things first, do you know how to summon your own weapon?" Lord Zero asked. "Surely, you must know how to do it by now."

The Dark Matter's eyes drifted away from Zero's gaze. As expected, his creator sighed in annoyance. "Of course you wouldn't know...But do not worry, the other defect used to be rather slow when he first started his training. And if my methods worked on him, then they should surely work on you as well"

The Dark Matter had a bad feeling about this. Sure enough, a cut had formed under Lord Zero's eye. A small amount of blood came out of the cut and landed in front of the Dark Matter, who backed away as quickly as he could. The blood fizzed as it ate a piece of the ground.

"If you don't want to melt, then you'll have to fight me!" Lord Zero said coldly. He shot another drop of blood, which the Dark Matter barely dodged. He tried to shoot lasers out of his eyes, but it didn't work. Another drop of blood was aimed at the Dark Matter. As he dodged, he quickly detached his fins in an attempt to shoot himself against Lord Zero's body. But of course that didn't work, either.

The Dark Matter tried everything he could think of. He tried to shoot lasers at Lord Zero, he tried to use his fins, and he even tried to materialize his own sword, but nothing worked. All he could do was dodge the blood in hopes that it wouldn't touch him.

Of course, Lord Zero eventually reached a point where he needed to stop. He looked dizzy from all the blood he lost.

Slowly, the Dark Matter crawled towards his creator, Lord Zero gave him an annoyed look.

"That's...That's enough training for now," Lord Zero said quietly. "I just...I need a moment."

The Dark Matter nodded as he quietly left Lord Zero's nest. Maybe he could try possessing one of the N-Zs again? If he could do that at, then maybe he'll be able to make Lord Zero proud? It was worth a shot.
