The next morning while at work Graham sees Yaz and runs up to her, "I was so worried about you. Are you ok?"

"I am doing better, I just had to visit my family."

"It is good to see your family."

"I sorta came out to them."

"What did they say?"

"They were supportive."

'"That's fantastic." While everyone gets to work Yaz starts to notice that there is one person missing.

"Where's Ace?"

Tegan, Nyssa and Graham all say "at her foundation."

"Ok," Yaz gets back to her work. Three hours later she sees a steaming cup being lowered in front of her. "Kate?"

"I have a few things for you to read that may help you out with everything you are going through."

"I was just feeling lonely with everyone around me entering relationships and it being obvious that they were."

"I know how that feels, I am the only one in my family that is divorced."

"You still have time to find a new spouse if you want to."

Kate smiles, "And so do you, you have many people that care about you."

"I know that."

"I think I know what you need; a girls night out this Saturday."

"I don't really know. I am doing well now. I was able to see my family and had some great food."

"Come on Yaz, you, me, Martha, Jo, Mel, Ace, Tegan, and Nyssa."

"What would we do?"

"Go to a pub and get drunk."

"I'll think about it."

"I'll talk about it with the others." By lunchtime everyone but Yaz had agreed to the outing on Saturday.

Ace comes up to her desk, "Are you excited for Saturday."

"You are coming."

"Of course I am, I only have had ladies night with Nyssa and Tegan before. I know it will be a blast with more."

"I thought you would decline."

"Why?" Yaz just looks at her, "I may be in a newer relationship, but sometimes it is great to spend time with your friends."

"Ok, I'll go."

"Good, Ace goes and finds Kate who is talking to Graham, "she'll go."

"Who'll go," asks Graham.

"This Saturday a group of us ladies are going out drinking."

"Was Yaz the last one not giving a definitive answer?"

"Yes, she was and I was able to convince her to go."

"I am glad, I can tell she isn't sleeping well and needs some girl time. Dan and I can only help so much."

"Speaking of Dan," Kate interjects, "has he told you why he doesn't want to work for this department of UNIT?"

"He mentioned that his last adventure with the Doctor while wearing a space helmet was shot at by Cybermen and it went through the glass."

"Ok, that's bad. Look at the time, breaktime is over." They go back to work, before they know it Saturday has rolled around. They arrive at a local pub in a few different Ubers. They all start drinking when some men walk up to them.

"Hello!" All of them turn around.

Ace is the first to say, "We are not interested."

"Oh come on, some of you must be."

Jo then pipes in, "Most of us are in a relationship and those few that aren't none of you could handle."

"I can handle anything." That gets a laugh from all of them, "see I can make you guys laugh."

"You don't know what we can handle."

"You bet?"

Ace starts to stand up, "Leave us alone and don't bother any other girl in here with that false bravado."

"I like them feisty."

"This feisty one is already in a relationship with someone who respects women." With a tail between their legs the guys walk away.

"My god Ace, that was fantastic." Martha says.

"Thank you, now let's get back to our ladies night." A few hours later most everyone is totally drunk, Ace calls Graham, Martha calls Mickey and Jo calls her husband. By the time all the men arrive everyone is blasted. Mickey takes Martha and Kate home, Professor Jones takes his wife and Mel home, while Graham has the other four ladies.

Driving home he wishes that he put Ace in the back and of the others in front. "Come on you four can you walk a little bit to the door?" They all get out stumbling a little, Ace can't unlock the door so Graham takes the keys and opens it. Tegan and Nyssa stumble in first laughing followed by Ace then Yaz. He gets them all to the couch, so he can make sure each one gets to bed safely. He walks up to Tegan first, then Nyssa, who didn't cause problems. Ace on the other hand.

"Come on, don't you want to sleep with me?"

"Not while you are drunk, now come on let me make sure you sleep on your side there Ace." After about 5 minutes Ace succumbs to slumber and Graham can finally check on Yaz. K9 was there the whole time, he puts a blanket over her and searches for aspirin for all of them, he then puts one on each side table with a glass of water and heads back downstairs to sleep in a chair for the night. He wakes up first after making sure none of them got sick during the night he goes to the local store to pick up a few things to make his hangover remedy from his university days. While preparing he hears a slight scream from the living room, Graham rushes out to see Yaz staring at K9.

"What in the world are you?"

"K9, mistress' friend ok?" Graham walks back to the kitchen to finish making what his roommates called The Green Thing and a pot of the strongest coffee he could find.

Ace is woken up by the argument of Yaz and K9 comes down the stairs, "K9 be quiet, I have a blasted headache." Graham, hearing Ace's voice, grabs two cups of The Green Thing and heads out to hand them off. Ace takes a sip first, "what is this?"

"To help with your hangover, now both of you drink, after you finish this you will get coffee." He walks off, Yaz slowly gets up and both Ace and Yaz follow him into the kitchen. A little while after being awoken by the smell of coffee, Tegan and Nyssa come down to be greeted with the Green Thing at the two empty chairs. They drink it without question seeing the other two drinking it.

"How did we get home?"

"Before Ace got too drunk, she called me and I came and got you four, while Mickey got Martha and Kate and Jo's husband got both her and Mel."

"You got the four of us here and three of us up to bed?"

"There wasn't enough space for everyone to sleep out in the living room, as it is I slept in a chair." He looks at all of them, "Yaz stop staring at K9, he woke up because you let out a small scream."

"I-" she doesn't finish her sentence thinking about the nightmare she just had.

"Before we talk about that all of you finish up the drink and I will give you some of this coffee." Yaz's head starts to fall, but Graham stops it, making her drink some more. Graham whips up some breakfast and gives them all plain black coffee.

"Yazoo, that is strong coffee."

"Before everyone woke up I went to the store, after checking to make sure none of you got sick first."

When everyone is finished eating, they head to the living room, "Yaz the only time K9 wakes someone is if they look like they are having a nightmare."

"I was having one."

The three other ladies well versed in nightmares all reach each over to Yaz, "I had a number of them when I was younger and still get from time to time."

"Is it that the Doctor turns back into the Master and can't change back?"

"No, it's that Fenric comes back and that I want to hunt and run forever, or that the Doctor wasn't fast enough to stop me from doing just that when I was traveling with him."

"When I was with my family, my sister, I was talking in my sleep and it didn't sound good."

"Did she wake you up?"

"Of course not," With an eye roll.

"You have many people that you can talk to about your nightmares."

"Thank you Ace."

"We were all drawn together by someone wonderful, but we all have some sort of trauma from them too."

"You heard some of the things the Master did to some of us."

"He killed my father."

"What?"

"Around the time I started traveling with the Doctor, at the time it was just Adric and I traveling with him, The Master posed as someone important to our democracy and ended up killing him."

"Why did the Doctor not just kill him?"

"I may know why," starts Ace, "I have talked to a few people who studied the Time War, and during the Time War he was giving another cycle."

"How can the Time Lords do something like that and the Master repays them by killing them all."

"He's evil." They all sit there thinking of all the evils they faced from the hands of the Master.

"I think," Nyssa starts to speak, "that Saturday we should talk about the Master and what he did to everyone who traveled with the Doctor and how he hurt some of their familes."

"I agree," says Ace, "though that will be a long meeting." None of them knows the extension of the torture that the Master inflicted on Martha's family. "I should say this, thank you Graham for taking care of us this morning and last night.''

"Yes. thank you Graham," says Nyssa with a friendly smile.

"Thank you."

"Thank you Graham, and I am sorry for not picking up when you called when I was with my family."

"It's ok, just remember if you ever want to talk I am one phone call away."

"I know."

"That goes for me too," says Ace.

"And the two of us." Nyssa motions between her and Tegan.

"I am surprised with how many people still care about me after I have been gone for so long."

"The Doctor has a lot of friends and all former companions care about the current ones or in your case the most recent."

"Well, once we get past the stage of regretting leaving them."

"Tegan?"

"It's true at least in my case the second time he left me, I was jealous of Turlough for a bit."

"I just hope she has found someone new to travel with."

"She probably has, wait a minute, I have something to show you guys," Ace gets up and runs outside to her bomb shelter. She comes back in with a photo. "This was taken when we were at an alien circus, remember I have always hated circus'."

She shows them a photo, Nyssa pops up, "You two are close in height."

"I know, so is Yaz with her Doctor."

"Is he trying to juggle?"

"He loved magic tricks," says Ace with an eye roll.

"I take it you don't like them?"

"No, Graham I do not. He did it to annoy me I am sure of that, especially since I was annoying him going through his closet looking for something. I did put on a long scarf too."

"What color was it?"

"It had many colors. Why?"

"When the Doctor I met regenerated he was wearing a long burgundy scarf. Though he did destroy it while walking through the deep halls of The TARDIS."

"It seems like each one has a unique fashion sense,'' laughs Nyssa.

"Doesn't surprise me, I have seen a few of their species and they don't really dress like humans, but then again everyone likes to wear different types of clothes."

A few hours later Graham drives Yaz home, "Okay, so be honest with me, are you doing better?"

"I have my moments, remember how you were when Grace died?"

"Yes, I do. I made sure to keep busy, I know you are working with all of us at UNIT, are you doing anything else?"

"Not right now, last night was one of the first nights I did something fun. Minus the teasing you about Ace."

"I am glad you had fun last night, and teasing me," Graham says while laughing at the last part. 'If some teasing helps you out you can tease me about Ace when she isn't around all you like."

"Graham, one of the reasons it is sometimes lonely being the only person you know that is not in a relationship."

"Ok, that is understandable, if you ever just want to hang out with just Dan and I all you have to do is ask."

"I know Graham, what about Ryan?"

"It depends on how fast he can get on a plane."

"For someone who wanted off the TARDIS, he sure does travel a lot."

"He does."

"Has he met Ace yet?"

"Promise you won't yell at him?"

"I take it he has."

"When he made that quick stop here a few weeks ago, right before Nyssa and Tegan moved here."

"Did they know before me?"

"I think just a few days, Ace told them, because they are staying with her until they can find a place." Graham pulls up to her flat.

"Graham I think I need the rest of the day to myself; I will see you at work tomorrow." He nods his head and makes sure she gets inside first before driving off. She presses her shoulder and nothing happens. "I know Ace and Tegan aren't telling me something. Ace's Doctor has visited her, why hasn't mine?"

"I have been wanting to give you a chance to move on." A hologram of her Doctor appears.

"Have they?"

"Yes, they have, it may have taken a while but they moved on. Though they didn't have the support that you have."

"I needed to talk to you."

"Yasmin Khan, I know you are strong, I was brought on for Ace by growing emotions for Graham and for Tegan when she had to take the wheel while those three were being followed."

"I haven't been sleeping since we departed."

"I know, but this will be the last time I can talk to you until you can start to move on. I am doing fine, though I just turned to an old face. There must be complications from everything that just happened, but ok."

"So you're a guy again?"

"Absolutely, Yaz you are fantastic." With that her Doctor disappears. Yaz goes to turn on the tv for some mindless dabble.

"Should I ask to be sent in the field, or am I not ready yet." Yas leans against the back of the couch and falls asleep rubbing her head.
