She walked away through the woods, ready to head home and move onward, vowing to never set foot in a haunted mansion again. That has been terrifying and did not help matters for her, especially after what happened many days prior.
What was she thinking?
Behind the leaving warrior, the remnants of Freddy sparked and fizzled, the head lay motionless. The sparking settled, then there were more sparks, oil continued to leak onto the ground. It seemed that Freddy was gone, but then...
Freddy's red eyes shot to life again, the animatronic let off a soft growl, followed by a beep unheard by anyone else. Despite its inevitable final deactivation, the Freddy animatronic beeped a little more.
Inside the mansion, deep in the basement, a robotic rabbit lay asleep. The rabbit was motionless, its eyes dark. But then, pinging reached its way into its systems. Motors whirred, the rabbit tilted its head upward and sat up. Red eyes blazed to life, the rabbit growled and rose to its feet, the transmitted message received and clear as day, despite the distance.
'Intruder, a green-haired girl, took out the others and left. Destroy at all costs.'
Bonnie nodded, 'Understood.'
The robotic rabbit took a step forward, its gears grinding eerily. Then, with another step, Bonnie made his way to the steps leading towards the door. Slowly and steadily, the robot climbed the stairs and twisted the knob. The door opened with a creak and the bunny animatronic stepped out of the basement.
He made his way through the foyer, towards the door that was open. Bonnie walked through the open door and walked across the porch, then he closed the door behind himself.
In the darkness, as lightning flashed, Bonnie's red eyes blazed as he approached the remnants of Freddy in the forest away from the mansion. The neck looked like it had been sliced through by something sharp, Bonnie growled with anger.
The robotic rabbit scanned the forest, spotting footprints leading away from Freddy and the haunted abandoned mansion the gang had been living in. The animatronic snarled viciously and walked past the fallen bear, making his way through the leafless tree-filled woods and following the footprints.
Bonnie scanned ahead, spotting a moving mass in the distance. His eyes zoomed in like a telescope, it took the form of someone in a hoodie-dress.
'A girl.' Bonnie thought, his menacing teeth-filled mouth curled into a smile as he scanned the individual further, taking in everything he needed to see and know about this girl; she had come to the mansion and she had slain Freddy and the others. Now, she needed to pay for her crime.
Silently, without a sound, he marched after her, his claws glinting in the shadows. Bonnie couldn't wait, it had been so long since he got to harm another human.
He was going to enjoy this...
Further off, Melony walked past an oak tree, devoid of its leaves. Bark littered the ground along with many more leaves. She ducked her head under a branch dangling from a nearby tree and carefully stepped over a fallen log.
She looked around, keeping an eye out for trouble. It was dangerous to wander the woods at night, especially with wolves and bears out and about.
'Just relax and go home, Melony.' The human watermelon told herself, 'Go back to writing Axol's Two-Piece manga for a while, then go to bed and relax. What else is there to be scared of right now...?'
Melony frowned.
'Is someone watching me?' She thought.
She turned around, nobody there.
'Hmm?'
Deciding it was nothing, she walked on, unaware that someone was trailing her. Melony walked past another pair of leafless trees into a clearing where she found a bench near the side of the road. And not too far off, there was New Donk City.
Looking both ways for cars, she walked across the road, heading towards the city. But just then, she thought she heard grinding gears and whirring motors coming from somewhere in the woods.
Melony turned around, she peered into the trees, keeping an eye out for anything that was particularly off. The grinding continued, then it stopped...
'Nah, it's probably nothin'.' Melony thought with a shrug.
She decided to fly the rest of the way. She hopped off the ground, a magical aura surrounding her. Melony flew along the road and flew towards the city, unaware of the figure observing her through the trees with a sinister smile.
Bonnie walked across the road, walking towards New Donk in the distance, his eyes fixed upon Melony as she flew.
A short time later, Melony was at Axol's place, safe and sound. And after that insanity at the mansion, it was time to wind down, starting with a simple shower.
Melony walked into the bathroom and untied the bundle of her bathrobe, she then stepped inside the shower stall and turned on the shower. In moments, warm water began pouring down around Melony and she stood under the stream, letting the shower rinse and massage her body.
She grabbed some soap and began lathering herself, making sure to get her hair too. Then, she set aside the soap, letting the water cleanse the hair even more. Melony sighed with content, feeling at peace...
But just then, the lights flickered off.
Melony frowned and turned off the shower. She exited the bathroom, ignoring her bathrobe on the floor, and walked through the halls of the house naked, her eyes were lit with confusion. A cold chill shot up her spine, something very strange was going on.
The latest weather report said that there wasn't expected to be a power outage caused by a thunderstorm, maybe the weatherman was mistaken.
Lightning flashed outside the window and the lights flickered back on again. Melony shrugged and was about to head back to the shower when lightning flashed again and a shadow appeared on the wall. Melony jumped and looked around, there was nobody there. Another lightning flash, nothing.
'It's just my nerves, probably.' Melony thought.
She turned around and headed back towards the bathroom, only for the sounds of whirring to perk her ears. Melony froze, it couldn't be possible.
'What the heck?' She thought.
A confused and nervous Melony looked around, wondering what was wrong. Her heart pounded intensely in her ribcage again, a feeling that she had felt not too long ago at the mansion.
Thunder rumbled in the sky outside and more lightning flashed, Melony felt a cold chill crawl up her back and she shivered nervously, her forehead once again beaded with sweat.
'Is someone here to hurt me?' Melony thought.
Growling perked her ears.
She wheeled around, trying to find the source of the noise. The lights in the house buzzed out, a power outage. There was something going on. Melony's breath quivered; she couldn't have felt more freaked out than ever.
Footsteps sounded through the hall and Melony turned again, she gazed into the darkness. Those footsteps, they sounded mechanical, and she could hear whirring too. Red eyes pierced the darkness, looking right at her.
Melony was terrified, she could not believe what she was seeing. It couldn't be; another one of those horrible animatronics. But how?
The eyes came closer, the footsteps getting louder. And then, lightning flashed and Melony screamed. Standing before her, snarling viciously, was a robotic rabbit with vicious teeth. Those eyes, those terrifying eyes, they reminded her so much of...
'No. There was one more at that mansion?' Melony thought.
And in an instant, her mind was flooded with flashbacks to the mansion, recalling Foxy, Chica and Freddy. She remembered hiding from Freddy, trying to take him out, running from Freddy and then decapitating him in the forest. Was this thing... watching her the whole time?
Perhaps it had. And now, that thing had come to avenge its brethren.
Bonnie roared and lunged at Melony, claws outstretched. The watermelon girl screamed and ducked, narrowly avoiding the monster. She summoned her deity powers and drew her sword, ready to confront these monstrous animatronics one last time. Bonnie turned around and snarled, ready to attack Melony.
The rabbit robot charged and swiped at Melony, who blocked the attack with her sword. She backflipped out of the way as Bonnie swiped at her again, the watermelon waifu landed in a crouched position, glaring at the robot with a frightened and yet serious look in her eyes.
Nobody tried to harm her like that, especially when she had deity powers, despite her trauma that she had from losing Axol and dealing with those monsters in the mansion.
If they wanted to come for her again, then she was more than happy to cut them down again. If this guy was the last one, then Melony looked forward to being done with that forever.
'You got this, girl.' Melony thought to herself.
Bonnie roared, sending chills down Melony's back, and the rabbit charged her again. Melony sidestepped out of the way and brought down her sword, slicing through Bonnie's thigh and spilling oil onto the ground along with a couple wires and circuitry.
The rabbit stumbled and doubled over, shocked by the attack. It turned around, facing the shapely green-haired girl with a hint of shocked fury.
Howling as lightning exploded, Bonnie pounced on Melony, trying to graze her. The watermelon-turned human waifu was prepared for the attack, she jumped out of the way and sliced back with her sword, the blade cutting through Bonnie's ear like butter.
Bonnie sliced at Melony, claws flashing as he tried to main her. Melony blocked each and every attack as best she could, the rabbit raised its claws again to double claw Melony. But the watermelon girl wouldn't let her take that change, she brought up her sword and sliced through the rabbit animatronic's shoulder.
With a clatter, the robot rabbit's arm fell to the ground, sparking at the joint. Bonnie snarled and charged with gnashing teeth, having had enough.
And so too had Melony.
She ducked and sidestepped as Bonnie lunged and bit at her, Melony raised her leg and leaped at the animatronic in a graceful motion. She kicked the robot in the head and Bonnie stumbled back into the wall, the robot growled as its arm joint sparked and fizzled.
Melony took a deep breath and smirked, she could finish this. Just before Bonnie could move, the shapely green-haired waifu raised her arm and threw her sword at the animatronic. The blade flew at Bonnie and, just before the robotic rabbit could act, the blade cut through his head and pinned him to the wall.
Oil leaked from the wound, Bonnie growled, its eyes flickering.
Then, he shut down, just like the rest.
Confidently, Melony retrieved her sword and brought it up, slicing through Bonnie's neck. The rabbit fell, its head rolling and the body dropped. Melony looked at the remnants of the animatronic for a time, wondering what it would do.
When nothing happened, Melony wiped her forehead and breathed a sigh of relief as tears rolled down her cheek. It was over, those horrible animatronics were gone for good.
Melony dumped Bonnie's remains in the trash and climbed back in the shower, feeling exhausted from the preceding fight. As she let the water rinse her forehead and massage her
sweat-ridden body, the watermelon waifu felt nothing but relief now that she was free from the mansion and those horrible monsters.
And whatever came next, she had her friends to experience it all. If Axol were here, he would have been more than happy to comfort her after a terrifying ordeal. Melony smiled happily; everything was alright once again, at least for now...
The End
