Showdown

Part four of the World's Collide series

Crossover-Hollow Knight

Author Notes: Well ladies and gents I am alive, and ready to celebrate Octwober. And that means we're diving into one of my favorite games from this year. Add in some franchises I also love dearly and we have a crazy time.

Please keep in mind that the author notes of all the current cult of a lamb one shots will probably follow have the same stuff in them with one or two differences based on the franchise that it will be working with.

Considering the trend we got going on, guess it's pick Mako's games from the last couple years for this list of crossover haha. As we have another game that I have poured a disgusting amount of time on. Ahem...I do not own cult of a lamb or hollow knight.

3rd P.O.V

Wind and dust engulfed the air as the sound of footsteps grew louder. From the moment their gazes met...there was a connection. Until today they had never crossed paths before. However a spark fluttered between them while they wore understanding expressions.

Without a sound or direct prompting two warriors found themselves immediately go into battle stance. Their blades silently released from their casings. The weapons held their reflections, mirroring one another when an tense silence formed.

What was a peaceful forest...became a warzone. They clashed, meeting each other in seconds. Metal against metal, magic blasted holes into the surrounding environment before they distanced one another.

The cycle was repeated. The sharp shrieks from their instruments of death played in a harmonic symphony. Waves of dark soul, pillars of blood, they painted the earth. They dashed away several feet. Only to rush headstrong forward once more.

And again.

Shrik!

And Again.

Shwip!

And AGAIN!

Throughout the entirety of the battle, no words penetrated their world. No sounds other then the melodies of their fatal strikes. Even when exhaustion began to sank into their bodies, there was nothing. But there was damage. Their abused cloaks held tears, big and small in multiple angles.

Time was contradictory, a strange circumstance where their battle felt like an eternity though in reality it had only been going on for a few minutes. However...all of a sudden, when the wind picked up once more the two of them, as if scripted...stopped.

They stood analyzing each other, taking in their opponent's damaged state before sheathing their blades in perfect sync. A smile formed on the lambs' face as they approached. Their rival, a strange bug creature, stayed immobile, perfectly calm.

A sense of curiosity filled their tiny bodies. Together they shared a small bow of their heads before trading their weapons. This time ease settled in their beings as they spent the next couple of moments marveling. With keen eyes they examined the artistry crafted with their specific killing tools.

In a few minutes they return them. And then...they leave. Going in the original direction they were heading before they got sidetracked. The ruined cloaks that protected them during their little face off repaired the further they walked, looking brand new as they were surrounded by a hurricane of wind.

Just as quickly as when they arrived to face one another, they vanished. Gone in the veil of dust and magic that brought them together. Leaving behind a land neither of them truly knew but felt familiar with.

to be continued

Author Notes: Arguably the shortest and Sen's least favorite of the bunch(which according to him it isn't bad since he loved all of them) but honestly I liked this one most for its simplicity-er...let me clarify.

Originally I was going to have them fight then admire their sets of weapons...before realizing that neither of them really talk. Which would've made it a bit difficult for me to say what they wanted to say without really saying it...that makes sense right?

In the end I loved the fight scene too much to where I decided I would not mess with it. So we're going with this. I am hoping I did this justice and I definitely want a death battle scenario between them. Be really cool actually...

(This is the copy author notes for the series. Feel free to skip if you've already seen it.) Also for those wondering, yes, I am making Lambi a mute character. Personally I just feel like Lambi doesn't like talking unless addressing cult members so that's just a me thing,

It's going to be canon as far as this series is concerned. Another thing is though this is part of a series of one shots, the only thing they have in common is the fact that the stories are a crossover involving cult of a lamb.

They have no relevance to each other and can be read on their own, which is why they're going to be considered their own pieces. Is that everything? I think that's everything. Anyone with questions feel free to pm. But that is it for now.

Guys thank you so much for reading this story. If you like it please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a crap ton to us to see people liking our work. See you next time. Tchao for now.
