"Luz, you're okay!" Amity said.

Luz returns to the campsite and Amity runs into her arms as they hug and spin around together.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I just went for a walk to clear my head and you'll never guess who I ran into!" Luz replied.

Eda comes walking up to the campsite to join everyone. A big smile on her face as she sees all the familiar faces yet they all look so grown up.

Luz, Amity, Willow, and Gus all gather around Eda, relieved she's okay.

"Eda! I'm glad you're okay." Amity said.

"I can't believe it!" Gus said.

"You're really here!" Willow said.

Hunter doesn't know what to say, so he stays back. The last time he saw Eda was when he had a panic attack and ran away after she reached out to help him, so he's a bit nervous.

Eda walks up to Hunter, remembering him. She notices the new scars, but doesn't bring attention to them out of respect.

"It's Hunter, right? I'm Eda. Are you okay?" Eda asked.

Hunter's not sure how to respond. He doesn't know Eda, only stories of what he's been told about her in the Emperor's Coven and how she was the most feared and wanted criminal. But he knows those were all lies, especially after what Luz told him about her and seeing how kind she truly is.

"Yeah, I'm Hunter. I guess I'm doing my best given the circumstances. It's nice to finally meet you." Hunter replied.

While Eda and Hunter talk, Luz walks over to her Mom.

"Come on, I want you to finally meet Eda!" Luz said.

"Alright, Mija. Let's go." Camila replied.

Camila takes Luz's hand, she's glad to see her so happy again, even if it's just for a moment.

"Eda, I'd like you to meet my Mama, Camila." Luz said.

Eda smiles, putting her hand out to shake Camila's.

Camila hugs Eda and, while she's a bit shocked, she hugs her back.

"Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter when I couldn't. She's told me so much about you and I can tell you've helped her grow into the incredible person she is today." Camila said.

Eda tries her best to keep it together but she can't help but feel emotional.

"Of course! Honestly, Luz helped me grow too. We learned from each other and I'm glad this little ball of sunshine came into my life. I wouldn't be the person I am today without her, and I'm proud of that." Eda replied.

Luz smiles, getting teary eyed as she watches her two Moms talk. Thinking back, she's definitely not as bright and optimistic as she used to be, but she's trying her best to get that girl back.

As the sun rises in the sky and morning comes, everyone prepares for their journey. Eda lets them know she'll lead the way.

Everyone starts getting their palismen ready to fly into town. Luz sits with Amity on Ghost while Camila rides with Eda on Owlbert. Everyone's standing at the edge of the cliff, ready to go.

Luz looks down at the boiling waters forebodingly and remembers how close she was to giving up not too long ago before Eda talked her out of it.

Amity notices something's wrong and looks back at Luz concerned.

"Luz, are you okay?" Amity asked.

Luz snaps out of her thoughts and puts on a tired smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired is all. We should get going." Luz replied.

Amity's still worried, but lets it go for now. They need to be focused on their mission but she's still going to keep an eye on Luz.

Once everyone's packed and ready to go, they start flying. Below them are the now brittle looking bones of the Titan. They notice a tall tree looming in the distance, stretching up into the sky and above the clouds.

"Ever since The Collector took control, everyone's been hiding out underground. They created this game called Owl House, as crazy as that is. They named the game after my house! Anyway, they randomly pick who gets to participate in this game everyday. It's basically just a big tree house in the sky. I haven't been chosen yet, but normally they will choose a few players and only one comes back. Who knows what happened to the others, but knowing that chaotic kid, it can't be good." Eda explained.

Amity, Willow, and Gus look down sadly, knowing their families could be in danger or worse.

"So, do you know who's still safe?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, Raine, Lilith, and Hooty are back at the hideout. We were able to escape, but I don't know what happened to anyone else. Sorry kids." Eda replied.

Eda looks back at the kids and can't help but feel bad. She wishes she could have done more, but everything happened so fast.

Amity looks back at Willow and Gus and seeing how defeated they look, so she tries to find a silver lining.

"Hey, just because Eda hasn't seen our families doesn't mean they aren't safe. Think about it. Willow, your Dads are so smart and crafty, I'm sure they found a safe place to hideout. And Gus, your Dad is a news broadcaster, so I'm sure he knows all about the Boiling Isles geographically. He's probably found a safe place to hide out too." Amity said.

Amity see's Hunter looking down, trying to hold back tears. He doesn't have family or friends here anymore. On top of that, he lost the first real friend he had, Flapjack.

Despite feeling empty and torn up inside, Hunter does his best to be there for his friends.

"And Amity, from what you've told me, you're Dad's very good with engineering and abominations. And Edric and Emira are clever and can get out of any tough situations. I'm sure they're all okay too." Hunter said.

Amity smiles. She feels sad for Hunter but at least he's found a family with everyone here.

Once they land, everyone follows Eda as she leads them to the underground hideout. She motions for them to be as quiet as possible so they don't get caught. Then they go under a tunnel and Eda uses a spell to open a hidden door on the wall. Everyone goes inside, intrigued and nervous.

They walk deep inside the tunnel, wandering the dark and damp corridor. It's all so cryptic, but it's what they have to do to survive.

Suddenly, they arrive in a dimly lit living area, it almost resembles the living room in the Owl House.

"We've got company, hoot!" Hooty said.

Eda looks down and sees Hooty in his portable little house bag at the entrance, acting like the door to their new living quarters.

"Hooty! You're okay!" Luz said.

Luz gives Hooty a hug, glad to see a familiar face. Then she walks inside with everyone else and sees Raine and Lilith sitting at a small table, papers scattered as they continue working on plans.

"Raine storm, Lily, look who's here!" Eda said.

Lilith and Raine look up from their work and smile, excited and relieved to see everyone.

"This is wonderful, I'm so glad you're all okay." Raine said.

"We thought you were goners, but it's great you're all alive and well. The more reinforcements, the better chance we have of going up against The Collector." Lilith said.

"Thanks for that lovely statement of encouragement, dear sister." Eda said.

Lilith smiles, not picking up on the sarcasm.

"You're welcome." Lilith replied.

With that, everyone gets settled in and catches up. Having conversations and finally taking some time to relax. Everyone, except Luz that is.

Luz sits at the table alone looking through the scattered plans. Her hyper focused and guilt ridden brain goes into overdrive. Part of her still believes she's responsible for fixing everything, even though she knows her friends and family would be happy to help her.

Luz snaps out of it when she sees Amity sitting next to her.

"Hey, it's okay to take a break. We finally found a safe place to hide out, so we might as well rest before diving into work." Amity said.

Luz takes a deep breath, her mind racing as she tries her best to control her overwhelming anxiety and need to distract herself from the harsh reality of their situation.

Luz looks at Amity, she's trying to be supportive but she can tell she's extremely worried behind that kind smile. So, she forces herself to stop working.

"You're right. I'm tired and should really get some rest. Thanks for being my voice of reason." Luz replied.

Amity smiles, relieved and takes Luz's hand.

As soon as Luz stands up, she starts to feel faint. Seeing stars around her, but she ignores it and does her best to push through the pain. Then she lies on the couch, reality disappearing fast as she finally drifts away into a deep sleep.
