December 17: "I unfortunately was born at the wrong end of time, and I have to live backwards from in front, while surrounded by a lot of people living forwards from behind." (from V Tsuion)

I wasn't familiar with this quote, and discovered it's a quote from Merlyn in The Once and Future King, a book that's been sitting on my to-read list for nearly a decade. Maybe this will be the year I finally read it! In any case, I cheated a bit with the prompt since I'm a couple days behind. 100-word drabble. Enjoy!

The snow had been falling for hours, large flakes turning the view of Baker Street into a perfect snow globe. A beautiful view to behold from indoors, and perfectly inhospitable for anyone unfortunate enough to have business out of doors. Typically such weather would lead to an irritable Sherlock Holmes, railing against the prospect of being trapped indoors for a day or more. Fortunately for all residents of 221b, Holmes was so deeply engaged in the study of some copies of medieval manuscripts that he did not seem to even notice the weather. Thank the heavens for Le Morte d'Arthur!
