Enchanted
Chapter 4
Piper watched her daughter pack her remaining items into the black 1967 Chevrolet Impala. Once, this task was completed. Melinda hugged her parents goodbye.
"If you decide to come back, let us know," Piper insisted.
"We just want you to be happy, Mel." Leo added.
"I will be. And the knowledge I gain will help us in the future."
"Let's hope so," Piper commented and requested. "Has anyone seen Chris?"
"Chris is properly hungover. I don't think that break up went smoothly," Melinda informed.
"Ah. I was afraid of that." Piper conveyed.
"Where's Wyatt?" Melinda asked.
"I don't know."
"Well. He knows how to reach me." Melinda proclaimed.
Days moved onward, Melinda was getting used to being in a huge and plentiful bunker. Now, she apprehended what Dean meant by every vermin known to man would be at her grasp. Melinda reflected, as she retrieved another file on a different creature. There was so much, she didn't know and some that were so similar. It was a good thing she brought a couple notebooks, to jot this into. All this gathered facts would be helpful when it was time to kill monsters. The spells she read were so magical. Also, on this same day, Melinda received a phone call from her older brother.
"You need to come home! You don't belong there!" Wyatt instructed.
"NO! And yes, I do!"
"Mel!"
"Wyatt! I am safe here. Mom and dad are okay with it. So, why can't you be?!"
"You would be more safe back here with us and not with them!" Wyatt stated, thunderously.
"Wyatt! I'm fine! I can take care of myself! They have taught me interesting things. So much information I can not wait to share!" Melinda exclaimed.
"Mel, you need to rethink this! They are hunters, who kill witches!"
"I have and I'm staying and that's that!" She informed her protective brother.
"Very well. Just so you know…If you ever need me-for anything I'll be right there." Wyatt replied, defeated.
The days turned into a month of her being at the Winchester's household. Melinda was getting acquainted with the boys and how they handled situations. Essentially, she came to find out that they were indeed charming men.
It all started one evening with a rapid movement from Melinda and Dean, as they rushed into his room and followed by him closing it.
The two halted the quicken pecks to strip off each other's clothes. The scenery had a blurry effect during this process. Shortly after, the two glazed at the other, both in the nude. Dean put Melinda's body on the bed, as he continued his tickle sensation of kissing down her physique.
Dean had been waiting on this for so long. In doing so, he inserted himself into her fervent center, the two moaned out in away, Dean began to pump in and of her interior. Afterwards, Melinda and Dean cast a look upon the other. Their breathing began to settle, which made Melinda uttered out.
"That was some research!"
Dean chuckled at her words, as he scooted close to her and replied.
"Oh, there's more!"
"More? Do tell!"
Months elapsed and Melinda stood stern with her arms crossed. She wore one of Dean's plaid shirts and her size blue jeans and the need to express something very important to them. She would countless times clear her throat to get their attention. The Winchester brothers had a conceptualization of a case that they had been stuck on. At which, they were thrilled for this achievement.
In a split second, Dean sighted her choice of clothing, hence a smirk appeared on his face.
"GUYS! I need to tell you something!"
The brothers persisted their task on what they could do considering the case.
"PLEASE! I'm-"
Mel huffed in aggravation that echoed the room, as she departed.
Suddenly, a blue light emerged from nowhere. To a surprise, it was Wyatt.
"WYATT! What are you doing here?" Melinda demanded.
"To check on you!"
"Why? I already-"
"Yeah, yeah. I know. I just stopped to see how things were progressing." Wyatt alleged.
"Everything is good. You can go now!"
Dean grunted in disdain, because he wasn't happy about his unannounced visitor. Thereupon, he remarked. "I need a beer."
Later on, Dean came back to the dim light underground shelter. He concluded that everyone was fast asleep. Dean hated acting like that towards Melinda. Somehow, something in him didn't want to hear whatever news she had. Dean walked softly past the hallway and made it to his room. As he approached closer, there she was, sleeping peacefully in his bed. Dean removed his garments and boots. Then, he slipped underneath the covers and cuddled with Melinda. She let a sigh- hum acknowledging the familiar touch.
A few days passed and Dean would give her a cold shoulder, for which his reasons were unspoken. In truth, Dean didn't want her to get hurt. The case he was working on was wearing him thin. They both knew it. Despite that, if he mentioned one ounce of it, she would jump right in. He couldn't lose her. In an odd way, Melinda was a good thing in Dean's life. He wouldn't let anything dark touch her. Not even this monster who had the ability to do such.
She couldn't do this anymore. Perhaps, it was time she skedaddled and headed home. Melinda shouldn't kid herself, she was here to learn the best methods on destroying the common threats. She had even gone on some cases to have hands-on experience and succeeded. Maybe her welcome was spent and what was left had to be learnt on her own.
Melinda stood at the door facing, as she made the announcement that she was needed noticed they were busy cleaning their guns, as she spoke her words. Dean and Sam eyed one another. The Winchesters understood and helped Melinda with her belongings. Soon after, they made the long journey back to Melinda's former residence.
Hours glided by, Melinda was seated comfortably on the Manor's couch, as she told the Winchesters goodbye. At this point, Sam nodded his farewells and went out to the car.
Nevertheless, Dean hesitated to leave. Melinda peered at him and waited to see if he was going to voice what was on his mind.
The quietness floated in between them, which made Dean very strenuous. He viewed Melinda, as she positioned her legs underneath herself. To cease this awkward feeling, he verbalized.
"It's better this way…Your family doesn't see eye to eye on a hunter's life. It would only be an emotional roller coaster for you. You would always be in a bind to pick a side. Which isn't fair to you at all!" With that, Dean mosey out of the room.
Instantly, Melinda heard the door shut, she let the tears that were held back cascade down. In order to muffle the sound that would come next, she placed her hand over her mouth.
Melinda really did love Dean, and in some weird way he loved her, too. She had to do something to protect her heart from this!
The following day, Melinda went to the 'Book of Shadows' to see if there was a spell to erase the pain.
At that moment, Leo, her father happened to realize what was about to take part. Directly, he guided her away from this decision. Leo revealed how Piper, her mother, created an enchantment to do the same thing. However, the results ended up a major disaster. Melinda comprehended and proceeded to her room, where she stayed.
More to come!
