Midnight in Baker Street
When candles light, be sure the game is on,
Detective to a doctor swiftly goes.
Though easier to be the Sandman's pawn,
They both arise to stand against their foes.
When problems come in darkness of the night,
True heroes are never really asleep.
There's one to cheer and scatter all the fright,
Another dives headfirst into the deep.
Danger and disaster lay around—
Happiness is never guaranteed—
Yet in this place true loyalty is found,
For justice's sake they'll suffer and they'll bleed.
When all is done they try again to rest
Till candles light and England needs her best.
For the prompt from cjnwriter: Candlelight.
Another sonnet, because they're a lot of fun to write :)
