Someday
"Whoa! What's with her?" Miranda asked.
"Yeah, what's eating Lisa?" Carole agreed.
"I can answer that," Hikari answered. "I think my big fat nose got me into trouble with Lisa!"
"In plain English, Kari!" Miranda said.
"I didn't mind my own business when it came to Lisa." Hikari said.
On the rooftop of Doe Cabin, instead of stars, Lisa's mind wandered to the boy from her dreams.
The boy then appeared as a vision before Lisa and he began to sing.
Mystery boy: I don't know if you can hear me;
Or if you're even there;
I don't know if you would listen;
To a gypsy's prayer;
Now Lisa sang back to the boy.
Lisa: In your house of peace and beauty;
I don't know what to say;
Except to ask that peace and beauty;
May come to us out there someday;
Now, Lisa and the mystery boy sang together.
Lisa and Mystery boy: Someday;
When we are wiser;
When the world's older;
When we have learned;
I pray;
Someday we may yet live;
To live;
And let live;
Someday;
Life will be fairer;
Need will be rarer;
Greed will not pay;
Godspeed;
This bright millennium;
On its way;
Let it come someday;
Someday;
My fight will be won then;
We'll stand in the sun then;
That bright afternoon;
Till then;
On days when the sun is gone;
I'll hang on;
Wish upon the moon;
Change will come;
One day;
Someday soon.
The mysterious boy vanished from Lisa's view.
Lisa went back inside Doe Cabin through the opened skylight.
Hikari, Carole, and Miranda were waiting for Lisa.
"Lisa, I'm sorry I stuck my nose into your business, could you ever forgive me?" Hikari asked.
"I forgive you, Kari," Lisa said. "infinity!"
The clock chimed eight times.
"Phew! We beat the clock," Carole told Miranda. "I would hate to get on Jessa's bad side when it comes to curfew!"
Lisa shielded her view so her bunkmates could change into their sleepwear in private before bed.
Then, Carole clumbed into her bunk below Lisa's, Miranda climbed into her bunk across from Carole's, and Hikari climbed up to her bunk across from Lisa's.
Hikari placed her unstamped letter underneath her pillow, she was really glad to tell her twin that she was now certified.
