"All right just let me do the talking and act casual. He doesn't do well with fear. Hey Papà! Alexis and I brought some friends for dinner." Giulia says as the group arrives at the house.
"Is there enough for five?" Alexis asks as the group sees Massimo chopping up fish.
"Whoa. What's wrong with you stu-" The green eyed boy then gets cut off as the other boy covers his mouth with his hand.
*Timeskip*
"What do you think he kills with those?" The green eyed boy asks nervously as he and the other boy look at the harpoons while sitting at the table.
"Anything that swims. Hai visto il giornale today?" Masssimo asks as he holds up a newspaper clipping before Alexis takes it.
"That photo is a fake Papà. Everyone in Portorosso pretends to believe in sea monsters." Giulia says as Alexis nods.
"Yeah. They're only fairy tales made up by fisherman seeing things." Alexis says.
"Well I'm not pretending." Massimo says before the group hears commotion and look at the two boys curiously.
"Slipped." The young boy says as Alexis, Giulia and Massimo brush it off.
"Dinner's ready. Trenette al pesto." Massimo says as he presents the food before the group sits down to eat.
"Thanks dad. It's delicious." Alexis says as she begins eating before the group sees the two boys eating the food down quickly with their hands.
"Okay." Alexis and Giulia say in union watching the boys eat.
"Where did you boys say you were from?" Massimo asks.
"They're uh classmates. From Genova. Luca and uh…" Giulia says nervously.
"Alberto." Luca says as he leans over to Giulia.
"Alberto." Giulia says.
"And what brings you to Portorosso?" Massimo asks.
"Oh. Uh… Funny you should ask. They came for the race." Giulia says nervously.
"The race?" Massimo asks.
"Yeah.." Alexis says.
"Uh you know what? Don't worry about it." Giulia says as she eats faster.
"Don't worry about it?" Massimo asks curiously as everyone looks at Giulia.
"Mm-hmm. Don't worry about it." Giulia says as she begins cleaning up the table.
"Giulietta. A word." Massimo says sternly.
*Timeskip*
"What's the problem?" Alberto asks as he looks at Alexis.
"It's the money. We are kinda tight on money and I don't think we have it to spare this time. We haven't been doing so good on fishing lately for enough money to spare." Alexis says.
"Um excuse me? We could help." Luca says as Massimo and Giulia look at him.
"You know fish?" Massimo asks.
"Oh we? We know lots of fish." Alberto says confidently.
"Huh." Massimo says.
"Can this face lose?" Giulia asks as Massimo looks at her.
"You want to work? I'll put you to work." Massimo says.
"Really?" Luca asks happily as the group cheers.
"Oh grazie Papà." Giulia says happily as the group then hears something growling and sees Machiavelli looking ready to pounce on the boys.
"Machiavelli! Don't you even-" Alexis then gets cut off as the cat jumps onto Luca's face.
"No! Machiavelli!" Giulia shouts.
*Timeskip*
"Sorry about the cat Luca. He usually never does that." Alexis says as the group walks outside.
"It's fine. We're gonna head back to uh..." Luca says nervously.
"Oh! Do you guys need a place to stay?" Giulia asks as she gestures to a tree before the group climbs up into a little area with pillows and books.
"It's not much but it's our-" Alexis then gets cut off by Alberto.
"Your hideout." Alberto says as Alexis nods.
"Huh. Yeah. My hideout. Buonanotte boys." Giulia says.
"See you in the morning." Alexis says as she and Giulia head inside through a window.
