Mail Call At Camp Olympus
Two days later at Camp Olympus, Stevie was working on her batting in one of the batting cages.
When Kristi entered the baseball field with two letters in her hands.
"What's up, Kristi?" Stevie asked.
"Mail call, Stevie, I got a letter from Red and another letter from my parents." Kristi said.
"I wonder if I got anything." Stevie said.
Stevie went to the mail room to see if she got anything in the mail.
A little while later at Williams cabin, Stevie was sitting on her bunk below Kristi's.
When Kristi entered the cabin.
"So, what did you get in the mail?" Kristi asked Stevie.
"A care package from my mom and dad and a letter from Phil." Stevie answered Kristi.
"Aren't you going to open what your parents sent you?" Kristi asked Stevie.
"After I read the letter from Phil." Stevie answered Kristi.
"What does Phil's letter say?" Kristi asked Stevie.
Stevie tore open the envelope and read the letter.
Stevie: Dear Stevie,
Very bad news on my end.
Hikaru has come down with a cold and has to stay in bed until he is better.
That means I will be taking his place in the archery tournament.
I am the worst archer you've ever seen!
Veronica's father won't even let me talk my way out of it!
