ATM: Seth and the God Girls – The Bloodline Wars
Bayley rallies the God Girls when Seth tries to pull Sasha out of deep waters with the McMahon family and Bray Wyatt on his own and Roman Reigns files for custody of Abiyah Rollins.
Chapter Two – A New Faction
The McMahon's, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Seth looked out over the front lawn of the massive McMahon estate in Florida. Shane McMahon had asked his mother Linda if he could use it for awhile so he invited Seth and Sasha Rollins there to talk about what happened in Connecticut. Becky Balor had burned the Sandbox to the ground in a furious rage and now all the God Girls were mostly going to jail for attempted murder, as Seth and Sasha were still inside when the building went up in flames. Though the Rollins escaped unharmed, the end was near for the God Girls, or so Sasha and her father Shane hoped. Seth's thoughts were completely different. He was praying that the God Girls would succeed, he just didn't want his wife to find out how much he supported them. It was crucial that he support his wife, after all, he had sworn to love her for the rest of his life, no matter what.
This was Seth's 'no matter what' phase which meant he had to cut off all contact with Alexa, Charlotte, Bianca, Becky and Bayley. While their home in Connecticut was gone, Roman was doing a great job of making them feel even worse by taking Abiyah Rollins away from them. Seth really couldn't blame Roman given the circumstances, his timing just really sucked. He needed his big brother Roman right now, not Abiyah's real father Roman. He'd been to war with Roman in the past, especially in the ring but now that he was locked in with Sasha and the McMahon family, this was a war his beloved brother-in-arms was sure to lose.
The water Seth was drinking went down his throat like gravel; though his thoughts were clear, his body was tense. He thought having sex with Sasha would be easily now but the Truth was it was harder. The very thought of her repulsed him, though he loved her deeply, his body was turned off by her and it was giving him cause for concern. He couldn't afford to show any disloyalty to her, especially since his plan to return to things as usual depended heavily on Sasha thinking she was the only thing he wanted in life. His physical aversion to her was a problem but he was sure, in time, he would overcome it and be all over his wife like a big scarf in the winter.
"It won't work you know," came the gravelly voice of Adam "Edge" Copeland. The Former WWE Superstar had come over to check on him when he saw them arrive a few hours earlier. Seth turned to him with a poker face.
"What won't work?" he asked the strong Canadian with the equally strong opinion.
"This façade youre putting on to please your wife, it won't work," Edge said and Seth folded his arms stubbornly.
"And why do you think I'm putting on an act? We don't talk, you don't know me, what makes you think I should care about what you have to say about my marriage?" Seth replied cautiously.
"I talked to Randy," Edge said and Seth felt his stomach flutter. He didn't usually feel anxious because he always had his Treasurer of Secrets around to re-assure him. I guess I'm going to have to get used to this feeling he said to himself as Edge continued to unnerve him. "He said your marriage to Sasha was a mistake from the beginning and its only going to get worse now that she knows she's a McMahon. Randy said she's going to drag you down to her level instead of you pulling her up to God's level. That's why she's separated you from the most important women in your life. Its not that she doesn't love you, she just loves you in a way that will cause you to choose between her and your faith. If you stay with her on this downward spiral, you're going to lose your faith in God completely,"
Seth finished his water and tried to get the nerves in his stomach to settle, "You talked to Randy, I forgot you guys are tight," he said before putting the empty glass on the counter. "I'm pretty tight with Roman so I know what that's like. It doesn't mean that he's always right about everything, so I appreciate your opinion but that's all it is Adam – an opinion. The Truth is deeper than that so forgive me if I don't place too much trust in what you have to say about my wife,"
"Its not just an opinion Seth," Edge said stepping closer to Seth, "Randy is an Oracle; God tells him stuff that's going to happen in the future, I wasn't having some casual chat with a friend about you and Sasha, Randy prophesied to me. Your marriage is going to kill you,"
"That's enough Adam," Seth said firmly, "Roman was the one who encouraged me to go for it with Sasha and I trust his judgement, just like you trust Randy's, only in your case, you're totally wrong. My marriage is going to be just fine and so is my faith in God,"
Edge shook his head, "You're right, I'm not Roman but I do care about you, just like I care about all the WWE Superstars and anyone that would help out the DX family in this war against the ever raging McMahon family. You're on the wrong side now though; Shane McMahon is not going to stop until he has regained control of the WWE and your wife is totally onboard with that. That's a problem for DX and therefore, that's a problem for you, or at least it should be Seth," Edge got right up in Seth's face, "And it is definitely a problem for me. Now that you don't have the awesome God Girls around you, I suggest you pick your battles carefully. You don't want to be on the wrong side for much longer, or this friendly neighbour might end up being your worst enemy,"
Edge backed off and left leaving Seth scratching his head, then he got his hand tangled in his curls and realized he needed to have his hair done.
"I gotta see Roman," he said hoping the Big Dog would speak to him with everything going on. He headed to the door while Sasha was in the nursery feeding Abiyah.
Shane McMahon and the Hurt Business met Seth at the door casting a dark shadow over the Prayer Warrior.
"Where are you going?" Shane asked Seth suspiciously while eating his blueberry frozen yoghurt.
"I'm going to see Roman I need to get my hair done," Seth said.
"Are you sure that's a good idea? Roman's suing you and the Boss for custody of Abiyah, things could get ugly," Shane said and Seth blew him off.
"It'll be fine, I'll be back later," Seth said but the Hurt Business blocked his exit.
"Take the Hurt Business with you, for extra insurance in-case something goes down," Shane said and Seth furrowed his brow at Sasha's father.
"I can't roll up in Pensecola with the Hurt Business," Seth replied and MVP's jaw clenched.
"What is there something about travelling with four handsome black men that's got you feeling uncomfortable?" he asked Seth who tried not to laugh.
"It's a bit much," Seth replied, "I know a little something about factions myself and Roman will take it the wrong way if I show up at his place with the Hurt Business,"
"Let him take it anyway he wants, you're my business now Seth and I have to ensure your safety at all times, especially since those crazy chicks you used to roll with are heading down the river for arson and attempted murder," Shane said and Seth sighed as the Hurt Business accompanied him to Penscaola to see Roman.
"You can't blame him for not wanting us to come with him, I'd rather have Bianca and Becky around me too," Bobby Lashley said and the Hurt Business laughed while Seth pulled out hoping that the Big Dog didn't make a big fuss when he showed up with four of the toughest men in the business, all to get his hair done.
Edge shook his head as Seth left with the Hurt Business and he saw Shane McMahon smiling at him before he went back inside to see Sasha and Abiyah.
"I gotta get those God Girls back to Seth," Edge said and he called Hunter to find out if he could come to Connecitcut and talk about getting the God Girls out of jail and back to where they were sorely needed: by Seth's side.
