Chapter 9 - Discovering Snow White

Back at the cottage, after finishing cleaning up the place including the doghouse, Snow White, holding a candle, was tired and decided to head upstairs toward the bedroom with Woodstock and his friends following behind.

Snow White: Let's see what's upside.

Once upstairs Snow White found the bedroom and noticed that their names are carved on them.

Snow White: This must be the bedroom and look they got their names carved on them. I know the dog must be Snoopy and the other people who live here are... "Charlie Brown", "Linus", "Schroeder"... What unusual names. "Sally", "Peppermint Patty", and "Lucy".

Overcoming with tiredness Snow White decided to pick a bed and call it the night.

Snow White (sleepy): I wanted wait till the owners get here but I'm going call it the night and hope to meet them in the morning.

Woodstock and his friends nodded before heading back to the forest.

Duck [voice over: After Woodstock and his friends left, Snow White, feeling tired after her long day of running and cleaning the entire cottage decided to call it the night. She tried each of the beds but one felt too short or too long or too hard or too soft or too firm until she sat on Lucy's bed and it was just right. She lay down upon it, committed herself to the heavens, and fall fast to sleep.

Cut to the exterior of the home, it was night time and no sooner than Snow White fell asleep, Charlie Brown and the gang returned home from the mine in the mountains. Charlie Brown stopped as he noticed something in the clearing of their home.

Charlie Brown: Look!

Everyone crashes into him.

Sally: What is it, Big Brother?

Lucy: Yeah, you blockhead. Why you stopped?

Charlie Brown: Look over there. Our house, the light is lit.

Everyone snuck to the side and take a look at the house.

ALL: Good Grief!

Sally: The door is open.

Linus: I see chimney smoke.

Peppermint Patty: Someone or something in there.

Sally: Maybe a spook?

Linus: or a ghoul?

Charlie Brown: Perhaps a witch?

Peppermint Patty: or maybe a dragon.

Lucy: A dragon? In this part of this slightly enchanted forest?

Schroeder: Well, anything is possible in this slightly enchanted area.

Lucy: Anyway, something's up and we better investigate it carefully.

Charlie Brown: Lucy's right. Let's sneak in and see who's in there. Come on gang.

The gang nervously snuck into the cottage with Charlie Brown and Snoopy leading the way. When they got inside they are dumbfounded by how clean the place is.

Charlie Brown: Look, the floor been swept.

Lucy (wiping a chair with a finger): Chair been dusted.

Sally: Our windows been washed.

Linus: Even the cobwebs are missing.

Charlie Brown: Good grief, the whole place is clean.

Lucy: They're dirty work afoot.

Peppermint Patty and Schroeder looked at the empty sink.

Peppermint Patty: Sink is empty.

Schroeder nodded.

Peppermint Patty: Hey, our dishes is stolen.

Sally: They're not stolen, Peppermint Patty. They are cleaned and in the cupboard.

Linus grabbed his cup.

Linus: My cup been washed. The sugar is gone.

Lucy: Good. At least they're one good thing about this situation.

Sally and Snoopy approached the cauldron.

Sally: Look, gang whoever been here must've cooked dinner. I'm starving.

Lucy stopped Sally.

Lucy: Don't touch that you fool. It might be a witch's brew.

Schroeder carefully open the lid and noticed a Cajun style beef stew inside.

Schroeder: A witch's brew? What witch we know who can cook a Cajun style beef stew?

Lucy: Huh?

Lucy cautiously got a spoonful of beef stew and get a taste. After a moment, she's assured that the food is safe.

Lucy: Oh my goodness. It is some good stew.

Suddenly Snoopy hear Snow White yawning upstairs and quietly alert the others.

Charlie Brown: Snoopy, what is it?

Snoopy points upstairs to bedroom.

Charlie Brown: Someone's upstairs?

Snoopy nodded "yes".

Charlie Brown: Led the way.

The gang cautiously snuck upstairs to the bedroom, once inside they noticed Snow White sleeping peacefully in Lucy's bed.

Charlie Brown: My goodness.

Sally: What is it?

Charlie Brown: It's a girl and... and...

Lucy (trying to control her anger): And she's sleeping in my bed.

Peppermint Patty: She's kinda cute.

Linus: She's beautiful just like a angel.

Lucy (slowly losing her temper): Angel? Ha! She's a big kid and ALL big kids are poison. They're filled with wicked wiles!

Linus: Wicked wiles? What's that?

Lucy: I don't know, but I'll get 'em.

Charlie Brown trying to shush Lucy.

Charlie Brown: Shhh. Not so loud, you'll wake her up.

Lucy: Let her, she doesn't belong here anyway.

Lucy tried to rudely expelled Snow White from the house only for a rebellious Snoopy stopped her by biting her in the backside momentarily stopping her.

Lucy about to yell but covered her own mouth and ran about a good mile and let out a painful yell before returning to the bedroom, approaching the dog.

Lucy (to Snoopy; Angrily but quietly): What did you do that for, you stupid beagle?

Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown break up Lucy and Snoopy.

Peppermint Patty: This is no time for fight night. If we're going to have one we would've sell tickets.

Charlie Brown: She's right. How about we let her sleep for the night and discuss the situation in the morning, agree?

Everyone including a grunting Lucy agrees.

Lucy: Hey you blockhead, where am I going to sleep tonight?

Charlie Brown: On the couch.

Lucy: On the couch? Now j- -.

Peppermint Patty: You would saying?

Before Lucy could argue, Peppermint Patty raise her fist upon her face while the others give her a cold stare which forced the crabby peanut to yield at the moment.

Lucy (reluctantly): Fine. I'll sleep on the couch. But she better have a good examination at breakfast tomorrow.

The Peanuts washed up, cleaned the tub, quietly enjoyed dinner, and went to bed while Lucy slept on the couch which turned into a bed with the peaceful thought of hearing the princess' examination at breakfast tomorrow morning.
