Hello everyone, I'm back with another chapter, hope you like it. Not much for me to say other than ask you two popular questions.

Question #1: Who is your favorite character from Harry Potter or The Walking Dead and why?

Input: I would like to also note that once I start traveling soon after I get my car situation fixed, I'm doing some research on routes and the locations I want to check out so I figured I'd ask you guys. What am I traveling for you ask? Well, I'll be traveling for my second job, Youtube, and making paranormal adventure videos. Apparently, it's a big deal and I am so deeply intrigued by the paranormal that I want to see it all and travel for it and just film videos worldwide. We're going to start with the United States first, cause I'll be traveling by car basically. So next question...

Question #2: What location that's paranormal and abandoned that you think I should explore? It could be anything, bridges, caves, forests, buildings, etc. What would you suggest?

You could either review or PM me for the 2nd question, and review for the 1st question, happy reading!

It had been a few hours since Leila had rescued Merle and she can honestly see that the man was crude, he has a heart deep inside him, but he only uses it for the people he thinks is worthy enough, like his brother, Daryle, for instance. They were currently walking along the highway leaving the city of Atlanta and she looked up at the sky in irritation when she realized it was getting dark. They had killed a few walkers along the way, it had been rough for Leila and Merle to leave the city since it was crawling with them. She turned and give Merle an apologetic look. "Sorry, Merle, looks like we won't reach the camp by tomorrow at least." She told him. Merle scoffed a bit.

"We'll be fine sugartits, as long as we get to my brother anytime and alive, I don't care how long it'll take. I'm honestly in no rush to be seeing the rest of them niggers that left me on that roof. Well, chinaman is okay I suppose if he actually mans up for once, it's everyone else that leaves things to be desired." He said to her honestly. Leila hummed and looked around at their surroundings, She looked at the trees thoughtfully and turned to give Merle a smirk. "How do you feel about sleeping in trees?" She asked him.

He looked at her with a bit of surprise before shrugging. "Beats laying down on the ground and waking up to a walker gnawing at ya, got any rope?" He asked her with curiosity. She gave him a nod. "Sure do, I thankfully like to scavenge for basically anything, so I at least got two pairs of ropes, should be long enough for us so we don't have to worry about accidentally falling out of the tree in our sleep." She explained as they started climbing the said trees. They managed to find some sturdy tree branches that faced each other so Merle took the one across from her and she across from him. Leila sighed a bit as she relaxed against the tree and looked at Merle with curiosity. He had his head laid backward, just looking up towards the sky, looking almost ready to pass out. He grunted though and gave her a look. "What you staring at ole Merle for?" He asked her.

She shrugged to herself. "I'm just wondering why one would be with a group that would literally leave someone trapped on a roof like that. It seems kind of wrong to me." She admitted to him. He scoffed at her thought and sneered. "It's not that I didn't want to be with that group, they were the ones who trespassed on the land my brother and I held up in and basically took over, besides, they had kids, plus safety in numbers ensures survival to at least maybe 50 percent." He admitted rather loudly. Leila hummed in thought and sighed.

"Well, not to worry Merle, you'll be back with your brother tomorrow, I can guarantee that at least." She admitted to him and he looked at her with a weird look on his face that she couldn't exactly read. "Your a weird one girlie." He told her with a smirk. She just shrugged at him with a light grin. "So I've been told."She said cheekily before she got herself a bit more comfortable on the tree branch and closed her eyes to fall asleep.

Merle looked at the woman across from him thoughtfully and looked down when he heard some shuffling and spotted some walkers straggling around underneath them and he sighed. The woman before him was definitely weird, but she was smart and obviously strong having lasted this long on her own. In his mind, he couldn't imagine anyone better for either him or his brother, if they were ever interested in her like that, but maybe later on down the line, his brother could maybe be happy with someone like Leila. One would never know how the future is going to go with how the world is now.

He finally leaned back against the tree bark and fell asleep himself, ready to be reunited with his brother again. The morning was bright when Leila woke up the next day when she spotted Merle wide awake and ready to go. "Rise and shine, sleeping beauty. the day has gone on without us." He said with a smirk on his face when Leila just glared at him in annoyance. "How are you so chirpy this early?" She asked him. Merle just shrugged his shoulders. "I've gotten used to it girlie. Now let's get a move on, they should be on their way by now." He told her. Leila nodded and grabbed her bag and put her rope away. After they climbed down the tree, Leila made sure her weapons were out.

She eyed her surroundings cautiously before she nodded toward Merle. He nodded as they started walking through the forest in the direction of the highway. Surprisingly enough, they haven't seen a single walker as they ventured through the forest. They still remain cautious though, for you never know who or what would show up randomly. After a few hours, trees started thinning and Leila spotted the road straight ahead. Merle put up a hand though to stop her from moving further. She gave him a cursory look. "What's up, Merle?" She asked him.

He pointed towards the road they were eyeing. She spotted a large white van storming down the road and her mouth turned into an "o" shape as she realized why he stopped her in the first place. He gave her a dark smirk. "Wait here while I make sure my brother is with them." He told her. Leila nodded and made sure her body was hidden behind some bushes. Merle gave off a deadly smirk when he stopped in the middle of the road and put his hands on his hips when the van came to a full stop.

Officer friendly and the nigger that dropped the keys was the first one to step out of the van with Chinaman right behind them. Officer friendly had a gun in his hand as he looked at him warily. "How'd you get out, Merle? I recall that you were trapped on that roof." Officer friendly said, wary. Merle just chuckled in amusement as he watched them squirm a little. A door at the back of the van slammed open and a familiar voice piped out in annoyance. "What are you pansy asses doing standing around here?" Daryl said as he walked to the front, arrow raised.

Merle raised a hand at his younger brother. "Hey there, Darylina. No hello for your big brother now?" He said cheekily. Daryl blinked his wide blue eyes at the sight of his brother, alive and unharmed. He sauntered over to his brother, gripped his hands, and tapped on his shoulder a bit. "You made it out, how? I heard you were a goner man." Daryl asked him. "That's what we asked him but he hasn't said anything yet," Nigger said, tense. Daryl gave him a dark look. "Man, shut up." His voice drawled on. Merle merely smirked at them.

"I had a little help from a new friend of mine." He said, crossing his arms over his chest. Daryl looked at him in confusion. "What friend?" He asked him with his eyes narrowed. Merle waved an arm towards the forest with a smirk. "Come on out sweet cheeks, it's fine," Merle said with a slight slur on sweet cheeks. Daryl and the group looked on in curiosity only to blink in surprise when a woman stepped out from behind the trees. The only thing Daryl could ever describe her is exotic.

She was honestly even prettier than the queen bee back at the camp, but she also held herself in a specific way. With her sword positioned in and out quickly, he could even see a few knives here and there littered over her body. This woman, no, this green-eyed warrior is strong. Daryl thought to himself, now this is someone who can survive in this new world.

Leila looked at the man before her and used her focus on the man that Merle said was his brother, Daryl Dixon. He had raggedy shoulder-length brown hair with deep blue eyes that eyed her up and down with curiosity. He looked like a redneck but in her mind? He was strong. Almost as strong as his older brother.

Daryl looked at her in amusement. "So you're the one who saved ol' Merle here?" He asked her. She nodded as she made to stand next to Merle and Daryl only blinked at the size difference. He could tell she was a fighter, but when next to his brother, she was a tiny thing. She also shrugged a rather large bag filled with guns that had Officer friendly's attention. "You got my guns..." He breathed out in surprise. "How?" He asked her. He held his hand out to grab them but she took a step back so her body was halfway hidden behind Merle as she eyed him warily.

Officer friendly raised a single hand, hung his gun back onto his belt, and raised his second hand before taking a step back. "I'm not going to hurt you." He reassured her. Leila looked at him for a moment, just trying to see if anyone would do anything. After a few moments of silence, nothing happened. She stepped out from behind Merle so she can fully face them with an air of indifference. "I don't trust you or the others. I may not Merle fairly well, but what I do know is that yes, he was a jackass with the way he behaved but he didn't deserve to be locked up and stranded on that roof!" She said harshly, causing the three of them to flinch back a bit.

The dark-skinned man stepped up a bit, shuffling nervously. She riveted her expression at him, causing shivers to run down his spine when he stared back. "It...it was partially my fault as well...I...I dropped the key down the drain. I made sure everything was bolted but loose enough for him to get through." He admitted, lowering his eyes a bit when Merle sneered at him. He gulped nervously when it looked like Merle was going to punch him.

"Name?" She asked him. He looked up to face her directly. "My name is T-dog, miss." He told her. She nodded and looked at the other two. Officer friendly stepped up. "My name is Rick Grimes, ma'am." He said with a slight drawl to his tone. Leila just hummed. "Uh, my name is Glenn Rhee. Um, guys, since they're both here with us, maybe we could just head back to the camp before anything else happens?" He asked them with a skittish look at his surroundings. Rick looked at Leila.

"Well, want to come with us? It's a much better odds at surviving this new world with more people." He suggested to her. Leila bit her lip in thought. She was used to being alone, but hanging out with Merle when she was helping him reunite with his brother had her thinking about maybe being around people again, the living kind that is.

But to be with people meant she had to put her trust in them. For now, however, Leila supposed she could get to know them, and see if they were good enough for her to stick around.

I actually had more to go with this chapter, but I kinda wanted to stop here since it was starting to get a bit too long for my taste lol. I've been starting to get better so I was writing more this week. Between work and coming down with a bug of sorts the past week had my energy drained completely to where I was sleeping much earlier and much longer. Thankfully, I'm feeling 100% again and raring to go, which is good timing since tomorrow is my birthday lol. I'll be turning 27 basically. Honestly? I might just go with a simple family dinner and leave it at that, maybe get a haircut, but nothing else. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do so I think I'm just going to do something simple to go with it.

Have a good day and happy reading!
