Chapter 10 - Snow White meets The Peanuts

Elsewhere at the western part of the slightly enchanted forest, we find Prince Klaus on a balcony looking at the nightly sky thinking about his bride to be, Snow White as a vision of her appear in the sky.

Duck [voice over: While Snow White and the Peanuts sleeping peacefully in the cottage, elsewhere in the kingdom at the western part of the forest, we find Prince Klaus stand on a castle balcony thinking about Snow White. Obliviously unaware that his bride-to-be is in mortal danger.

King Reginald, Prince Klaus' father, enters the balcony.

King Reginald: Mind do I join you?

Prince Klaus: Oh… of course, father.

King Reginald join his son.

King Reginald: Thinking about her?

Prince Klaus: You mean Snow White? Yes. I still can't believe in a matter I weeks I'm going to marry the most fairest bride in the land.

King Reginald (to Klaus; chuckling): Hehehe, oh really? What makes her so special than all the others you rejected?

Prince Klaus: I don't know. Maybe… it just sounds weird but when I saw Snow White at the Masquerade ball a couple of nights ago, for some odd reason which I can't explain that I felt a vibe.

King Reginald: What type of vibe?

Prince Klaus: I felt a enchanted vibe, the type of vibe that bewitched me within my soul. And yet, she felt like she reachable and at the same time she's not. Father, I love Snow White not for her outer appearance but what she is from within.

King Reginald: Which is?

Prince Klaus: Her smile, her grace, her personality, and most importantly how she treats other. Kinda reminds me of mother. If mother was alive, she would've loved Snow White.

King Reginald (reassuringly): She would, I'm sure of it. Come, it getting late.

Prince Klaus: Father?

King Reginald: Yes, son.

Prince Klaus: I like to see Snow White tomorrow, if you permit me.

King Reginald: Permit you? Of course you can.

Prince Klaus: Thank you Father.

As the king and his son head inside the castle the scene is faded back to the executive office where Duck is drinking a bottle of water as almost half the script is been read already.

J.R.: Well, then what happen?

Duck: Page 33. Back in the cottage the sunrise on the place…

Fade back into the story, we find Snow White waking up and start stretching her arms.

Snow White: YAWN!

She turned to her right and noticed that five of the Peanuts are sleeping in their respective beds. She was startled at first but knew deep down that they'd kind enough to let her sleep for the night. Then she make up Lucy's bed and quietly head downstairs without waking the others.

Once downstairs Snow White notices Lucy sleeping on the recliner couch and feels sorry for her situation. She went into the kitchen and make a nice breakfast for them: bacon, eggs, waffles, buttered and jammed toast, sausages, and cup of milk.

The aroma of the cooked breakfast awaken the others including Snoopy. So everyone washes up, put on a fresh set of clothes, and head to dining room table in which the table is set and breakfast is ready.

Just then, Snow White came into the room and everyone looked dumbstruck by the princess' presence.

Snow White: [startled at first] Oh…. Eh hello? How do you do?

Everyone look confused at first as they stare at one another before looking at Snow White with blank confused faces.

Snow White: I said, how do you do?

Lucy: How do you do what?

Snow White: Oh you can talked, I'm glad.

Charlie Brown: Yes. Ahem, pardon us but we got a few questions to ask.

Snow White: Speak.

Each one except Snoopy ask Snow White questions.

Charlie Brown: Who are you?

Linus: And where you from?

Lucy: How did you get here and when?

Schroeder: Not to mention why?

Peppermint Patty: Are you alone or there more of you?

Sally: What's your favorite color and do you wish to be my friend?

Snow White answer each question by the chronological order. The others listen carefully.

Snow White: Well, my name is Snow White. I lived in the kingdom on the eastern part of this slightly enchanted forest. Got her by foot last night. Because my stepmother Queen Hilda to kill me. There's only one of me. My favorite color is blue and sure?

Sally happily hugged the princess.

Sally: Hello new friend.

Snow White cleverly identify each one.

Snow White: Nice to me you… eh… Sally?

Sally: Uh huh.

Snoopy: The beagle must be…. Snoopy?

Snoopy nodded "yes".

Snow White: And you're Linus.

Linus (blushing): Yes ma'am that's me.

Snow White: You're Schroeder, correct?

Schroeder: Without a doubt.

Snow White: And you be, Peppermint Patty.

Peppermint Patty: The one and only.

Snow White and the others laugh. She turned to Charlie Brown.

Snow White: And you're…

Charlie Brown (freaking out nervously): Brownie Chown… no I mean Harley Frown… NO!

Snow White: Charlie Brown?

Charlie Brown scream girlishly then faint on the floor. Snow White laughs.

Snow White: Wow, he's hilarious.

Charlie Brown: Hilarious? Me, really?

She winked as Charlie Brown. The blockhead felt love struck before falling into the floor again.

Peppermint Patty: Typical Chuck.

Linus: Actually, Peppermint Patty. I don't blame him this time.

Snow White noticed Lucy looking crabby and have her arms crossed.

Snow White: I'm guessing you're Lucy?

Lucy: That's right and you slept on my bed, you freeloader.

Snow White: I'm sorry for that and I'm sorry for breaking into your home last night. I was tired and I have nowhere else to go.

Charlie Brown: Did you lost your was home?

Snow White starts to cry as she continues her explanation to the Peanuts.

Snow White (tearfully): As of yesterday, I have no home. I could never return there again until my father's return.

Schroeder: Tell us, who is your father?

Snow White: King Gordon. But he's away to make preparations for my marriage to Prince Klaus and I don't know when he'll return.

Linus: Pardon me, your highness.

Snow White: Please call me Snow White or Snowy for short.

Linus: Pardon me yo- -. I mean, Snowy. How did you escape your stepmother's deadly plot?

Snow White: Franklin help me escape. He was going to take my life but he showed pity and let me escape until my father returned.

The others are amazed by this realization and decided to discuss the situation among themselves.

ALL: Wow!

Charlie Brown: Snow White can you give us a moment to discuss this.

Snow White: Sure.

The group huddled together and discussed what to do with Snow White.

Schroeder: I can't believe our pal Franklin spare her the mockery of justice placed upon the current queen.

Linus: I know but let's discuss the "elephant" in the room.

Sally: Elephant? What Elephant?

Lucy smacked Sally on the back of her head.

Sally: Ow!

Lucy: What Linus is trying to say is what should we do with Snow White.

Sally: Oh. We can't send her away. Her stepmother will try to do her.

Charlie Brown: Hmmm… gang I got. How about she stay with us until her father returns.

Schroeder: Splendid.

Linus: Brilliant idea.

Sally: Great.

Peppermint Patty: Sweet.

Snoopy nodded in agreement.

Lucy: Hold it, gang. It's a great idea and but what if Queen Hilda eventually finds out where Snow White is at, we might suffer her wrath along with her.

Sally: She doesn't even know where she is at the moment.

Lucy: She don't, eh? I hear rumors that Queen Hilda is a old witch in disguise. But that's just a rumor. However she can stay but Snow White had to find somewhere else to sleep.

The gang came out of the huddle and told Snow White of their decision. Snow White listen anxiously.

Charlie Brown: Snow White, we all decided that if you keep house for us, wash, sew, clean, and cook for us. You can stay here as long as you wish or until your father returns. You'll want for nothing.

Lucy: And you can sleep on the recliner couch.

Snow White felt thankful as she kissed each of them on their foreheads.

Snow White: Thank you, all of you.

The peanuts cheered in excitement as the temporally arrangements are sealed.
