Chapter 18 - The End of Queen Hilda
Cut to the exterior of the castle within the east side of the slightly enchanted forest, it was night time and Duck relates what happen next.
Duck [voice over: Slowly after that, Prince Klaus and the Peanuts gang escorted Snow White back into her where she's reuniting with her father, Marcie, and a returning Franklin. After hearing what had happened while he was away making wedding preparations for his daughter and future son-in-law, King Gordon was simply shocked and furious.
Fade into the throne room, King Gordon looked shocked and angry.
King Gordon: I'm simply shocked and furious! How did I alway this to happen. If I would've known what type of person your stepmother was I…
Snow White (reassuringly): It's alright father. You didn't know at the time.
King Gordon: It's not alright, four attempts on your life was made behind my back. (to Franklin) no puns intended on the first attempt, Franklin.
Franklin (forgivingly): None taken, Sire.
King Gordon: Thank you. Anyway, the question is where is that shameless shrew of a wife of mine?
Marcie step forward and tell the King where Queen Hilda is at.
Marcie: Your Majesty, I think I know where she at.
King Gordon: Lead the way, Marcie.
At the others follow Marcie to Queen Hilda's location, the scene fades into the executive office we find Duck, looking confident, as he's down to the last few pages.
J.R.: Yeah, yeah, then what happens?
Duck: Page 80. Cut to Queen Hilda's chambers.
Fade to the Queen's chamber, we see her pouring a cup of wine as she asks the mirror the usual question.
Queen Hilda (confidently): Looking Glass upon the wall, who's the fairest of us all?
Pig-Pen appears and bluntly reveal the answer as Queen Hilda drinking her wine like a boss.
Pig-Pen (bluntly): Snow White.
Queen Hilda comedically spit out her drink after hearing Pig-Pen's blunted answer.
Queen Hilda: W-W-WHAT?! What did you say?
Pig-Pen: Let me say this with clarity. Fairest now and forever is Snow White. Do you hear…. SNOW… STINKING… WHITE!
Queen Hilda (in disbelief): No! That's impossible!
As she confessed her crime, the Queen is unaware that her husband is in front of her and heard everything.
Queen Hilda: She's dead, I tell you! Dead, dead! I killed her with a poisoned apple. [seeing a angry King Gordon] Oops.
King Gordon condemning his now ex-wife with the others give a cold stare at her.
King Gordon: Condemned by your own words!
Queen Hilda stepping down, realizing her reign as Queen is over.
Queen Hilda: No. [noticing she's standing on the trap door that leads to her secret laboratory] It is you who are condemned!
She quickly pull lever and falling into it. The gangs tries to go after her, the trap door shut closed.
Charlie Brown: Where this trap door leads to?
Franklin: Her secret laboratory, deep within the castle.
Lucy: It's there another way in.
Marcie: I do, follow me.
The others follow Marcie into the royal library to find another way to get into Queen Hilda's secret laboratory.
Peppermint Patty: We're at the library, but the question is which book to pull?
Sally, for the second time, indirectly help the group by pulling out a red book. No sooner than Sally removes the certain book, the shelf lowers which reveal the secret passages to the laboratory.
Charlie Brown: Good job, Sally. You found the secret passage.
Sally (confusingly): Thanks. I think.
Peppermint Patty: Okay gang, let's get that shameless excuse of a queen.
Snoopy: (put out a trumpet and play "charge")
All (except Franklin, Marcie, Snow White, Prince Klaus, and King Gordon): CHARGE!
The gang run down the stairs towards the laboratory to confront the Queen.
Inside the lab, Queen Hilda grab her magic staff and about to formulate a counterattack.
Queen Hilda: Condemned, am I? I'll show them, I'll show them all the meaning of the word. There- -.
She stop and turn to the back door of her lab with a confused look.
Queen Hilda: Huh?
Suddenly Charlie Brown and the others enter the laboratory and charge towards the dumbstruck queen.
Charlie Brown: There she is, let's get her!
Queen Hilda shoot a bolt of energy at the gang. The gang move out of the way, nearly hitting them.
Queen Hilda: You want me? [aiming her staff at her pursuers like a machine gun] Come and get me, you little pint-sized pests!
She shoot rapid-fired energy bolts at the gang. Which forced the others to hide or duck for cover.
The gang regrouping as the Queen taunts them to come out and face her.
Queen Hilda [off screen: Come out, come out, whatever you are. What's the matter, too cowardly to face me?
Linus: She got us pinned down, Charlie Brown.
Sally: What are we going to do, Big Brother?
Charlie Brown think hard until he spot Queen Hilda standing on the carpet in which gives him a idea and quickly whisper to it and everyone understands the plan and about to put the idea in place.
Queen Hilda, still on guard, keep her eyes open for almost anything.
Queen Hilda: Come on out! We all have to go, one day.
Charlie Brown and Lucy (holding a football) run towards the Queen.
Lucy: But tonight is not that night, you shameless shrew!
Lucy and Charlie Brown perform the famous football sketch that sent the latter flying towards the Queen.
She saw the attack coming and about to zap Charlie Brown for his troubles. Charlie Brown quickly signaled Linus and Sally to do their part. Seeing the signal, Linus use his blanket as a lasso and roped around the Queen's legs and him and Sally swiftly pulled the blanket, causing Hilda to fall backwards and dropping her magic staff in the process which Charlie Brown grabbed it in midair.
Charlie Brown land on a table with the staff in hand. Queen Hilda about to get him but was held back by Snoopy, Schroeder, and Peppermint Patty as they grabbed her cape.
Queen Hilda: That's mine! Give it back you little…
Peppermint Patty: Quick Chuck, use the staff.
Charlie Brown: How do I use it?
Schroeder: Try pointing at it.
Charlie Brown point the staff at Peppermint Patty.
Peppermint Patty: Not at me, at her!
Charlie Brown boldly pointed the magic staff at Queen Hilda.
Charlie Brown: Oh.
Queen Hilda: No… No… NOOOOO!
Charlie Brown shoot a bolt of energy at the Queen as Snoopy, Schroeder, and Peppermint Patty quickly got out of the way from the blast and bombarded her with the staff's magical energy.
The others look on with shock and concern for a moment or two until Queen Hilda got turned into stone before crumbling to pieces, ending her reign of terror for good.
Queen Hilda dropped on the floor and rolled towards Lucy's feet. She picks up the crown and placed it on her head for good measure but humbly decided not to let that sort of thing get to her head at the moment and put the crown on the ground.
The gang looks at whatever left of the Queen Hilda and adulates Charlie Brown on defeating the Queen.
Peppermint Patty: Ding dong, the witch queen is dead!
Sally: Way a go, big brother.
Lucy: Yeah, you blockhead. You did something right for once. You're a good man.
Linus: Three cheers for Charlie Brown.
Schroeder: Hurray, hurray, HURRAY!
Snoopy joyfully howl with the gang cheer in jubilation as Charlie Brown gives his usual blushful smile.
