Chapter 19 - A Happy Ending
Cut to a few days later, on a beautiful afternoon we see church bells ringing on a church's bell tower indicating that someone is getting married.
The church doors open and we see Snow White and Klaus coming out as husband and wife while the people of the now unified kingdom cheer in jubilation of not just the marriage of their new king and queen but also the end of Hilda's dark reign.
Townspeople: (shouting in jubilation)
Franklin stand proudly while Marcie cry on the former's shirt. (It's happy tears)
The retired kings watch with satisfaction that their children are married and their respective kingdoms are unified.
Cut to the peanuts gang, now dressed in royal robes, escort the newlyweds towards their royal stagecoach while the townsfolk cheer in adulation for the newlyweds and the peanuts.
Later that night, we cut to the exterior of the castle in the west side of the slightly enchanted forest. Then zoomed in towards and fade into the grand ballroom where Queen Snow White and King Klaus dance around as they're about to enjoy their new life together as king and queen.
Duck [voice over: And so, with Queen Hilda bite the dust, you may say, Snow White and Klaus was married and their wedding was held with pomp and great splendor.
Cut to the peanuts, they watched with contentment knowing that Snow White is safe and happy with her new king.
Duck [voice over: As for Charlie Brown and his friends, after the wedding they was honorably knighted by Queen Snow White for their kindness and bravery. Although they're be sad to see their friend go but deep inside their hearts are contented that she's safe and happy with King Klaus and they won't trade anything for it.
As the wedding reception slowly wraps up everyone got together to sing the final song of the story, "Happiness" from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Snow White (spoken): I'm so happy and I want to thank all of you. (Turns to Klaus) and especially you for making our night a memorable one.
Charlie Brown (spoken): Anytime, Sn- -. I mean, your majesty.
Sally (spoken): We're going to miss you.
Linus (spoken): Although we may be departed from one another, we all know deep inside that we're contented that you're safe and happy with your king.
Schroeder, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and Snoopy nods in agreement.
Snow White (spoken): Oh… thank you everyone. Being with you feels like… Happiness.
Peppermint Patty: What type of happiness?
Snow White (spoken): Well…
(Sung)
HAPPINESS IS LIKE… FINDING A PENCIL.
PEPPERMINT PATTY:
PIZZA WITH SAUSAGE?
LINUS:
TELLING THE TIME.
SCHROEDER:
HAPPINESS IS LEARNING TO WHISTLE.
LINUS:
TYING YOUR SHOE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME.
SALLY:
HAPPINESS IS PLAYING THE DRUM IN YOUR OWN SCHOOL BAND.
CHARLIE BROWN:
AND HAPPINESS IS WALKING HAND IN HAND.
KING KLAUS:
HAPPINESS IS TWO KINDS OF ICE CREAM.
LUCY:
KNOWING A SECRET.
SCHROEDER:
CLIMBING A TREE.
CHARLIE BROWN:
HAPPINESS IS FIVE DIFFERENT CRAYONS.
SCHROEDER:
CATCHING A FIREFLY.
PEPPERMINT PATTY:
SETTING HIM FREE.
SNOW WHITE:
HAPPINESS IS BEING ALONE EVERY NOW AND THEN.
ALL:
AND HAPPINESS IS COMING HOME AGAIN.
SNOW WHITE:
HAPPINESS IS MORNING AND EVENING,
DAY TIME AND NIGHT TIME TOO.
KING KLAUS:
FOR HAPPINESS IS ANYONE AND ANYTHING AT ALL
THAT'S LOVED BY YOU.
LINUS:
HAPPINESS IS HAVING A SISTER.
LUCY:
SHARING A SANDWICH.
LUCY AND LINUS:
GETTING ALONG.
ALL:
HAPPINESS IS SINGING TOGETHER WHEN DAY IS THROUGH,
AND HAPPINESS IS THOSE WHO SING WITH YOU.
HAPPINESS IS MORNING AND EVENING,
DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME TOO.
CHARLIE BROWN:
FOR HAPPINESS IS ANYONE AND ANYTHING AT ALL
ALL:
THAT'S LOVED BY YOU.
(The cast filters out, waving "good night" to Snow White and Klaus, but Lucy stays,
and stands in silence for a moment before finally saying:)
LUCY:
You're truly is the fairest maiden of them all.
- Lucy leaves as the newlyweds smiles and passionately kisses one another as the lights go down ending the pitch -
Back at the executive office, Duck on the 90th page concludes his pitch to J.R.
Duck: And they all lived happily ever after. Well what do you think, J.R. Like my pitch.
J.R.: No, I don't like it.
Duck felt disappointed at first and about to leave the office until the studio executive uttered the words:
J.R.: I love it!
Duck looks dumbfounded by the executive's words at first and soon realizes that the latter is very serious about it and gives a victorious smile.
J.R.: Stone, I was skeptical at first. But after hearing your take on a classic story. I was mind blown by your creativity as a writer. When can you start production?
Duck: Next week.
J.R.: Great. Good luck and remember: watch the budget and make this one of the fairest tv movie of all and… have fun.
A thankful Duck leaves the office as he about to make preparations for his tv movie adaptation of Snow White.
Duck: Thank you, thank you, J.R. I'll won't let you down. This will be one of my greatest masterpieces yet, bank on it.
Duck firmly close the door.
In the hallway the struggling filmmaker laughing hysterically with joy as his dream of making the film he wanna make have come to fruition.
