Day 4
"Look upon these chains, Tywin Lannister!" Maegor the Cruel stated, rattling the chains that were wrapped around his body. "Every link as forged by one of my deeds! Every cruel comment. Every life I took. Every existence I ruined in my search for power! Behold them!"
Tywin reached out and took one of the chains, feelings its coldlenss and its weight. Maegor was pleased… he had been worried that the Old Lion wouldn't take him seriously.
"So you earn these through ill deeds?"
"Indeed," Maegor said. "This one was when I slayed a man so I might take his wife as my own. These are for the kin I killed. Every link I must forever be weighed down with, till all of existence is no more."
"They are sturdy," Tywin commented.
"They are unbreakable!" Maegor thundered.
"I'll take them all."
"You will have your own when you-"
Tywin though cut him off. "No, I mean I will buy them all from you." He turned and walked over to his dresser. "I would have preferred if you had waited until the sun was up to begin this transaction but I will for once let it slide. But never again. Now, I am thinking twice their weight in gold will do-"
"What… what are you talking about?"
"Thos are unbreakable chains," Tywin stated. "I assume they will never rust?" The ghost nodded his head, befuddled. "Perfect. Chains that will never weaken, that will never break. They will work perfectly for those wishing to secure cargo or to haul up anchors. There will be banks that wish them to help secure their vaults and lords who wish for added support to their defenses."
"You… this is not-"
"I suppose they could also work well as weapons. The Mountain could use one as a whip. Hmm… and I know many lords would be quite happy to be able to chain up prisoners with links that are icy to the touch, to punish them all the more."
Maegor floated towards Tywin as he considered all of that. "You are missing the point-"
Tywin though waved his hand dismissively. "I think you are missing the point. Can smaller chains be made? If they were shrunk down I could make chain mail… do the sins affect the size or the age of the person? Could I get a baby to call for a genocide and then kill them so I could get their tiny chains?"
"I… what?"
"Fine, three times the gold bricks."
"…"

"What the fuck, man?!" the Ghost of Christmas Present shouted, staring at a chainless Maegor.
"He made some good points…" he said, counting his coins.
