ATM: Seth and the God Girls – The Bloodline Wars
Bayley rallies the God Girls when Seth tries to pull Sasha out of deep waters with the McMahon family and Bray Wyatt on his own and Roman Reigns files for custody of Abiyah Rollins.
Chapter Twenty One – Love is in the Air
Seth and Sasha Rollins held each other as the returned to the United States via New York City. It was a whole other way to see the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, from way above. They had been flying for hours and it was time for Shawl to get some rest. Sasha was plenty rested as she had spent the last few hours sleeping on Seth's shoulder while Abiyah played with Ra-Ra and his blue bear. They knew several people in New York but for now the only person Seth wanted to see there was Randy Orton.
Seth headed for the Ortons after making sure Randy was home, which he was. Randy had just finished visiting his son and daughter-in-law at Harvard and now he was at home, babysitting his granddaughter Rebecca Rogan. She was growing into a beautiful baby girl with her mother's face and her father's cheeky grin.
"I could look at you all day for the rest of my life," Randy said to Rogan who clapped her hands joyfully at him. The doorbell rang and Randy left the pleasure of playtime with her granddaughter to attend to much less pleasant business. He opened the door to Seth and Sasha Rollins and Roman's now known son, Abiyah. Seth had Sasha in his arms, she was sound asleep and Shawl was wrapped up under his arm.
"We've been flying around for a long time, do you mind if we crash here for the night?" Seth asked Randy who welcomed the family in.
Rebecca Rogan stared at the little boy with the big cat and blue bear then she raised her hands from out of her playpen urgently. Randy lifted her out so she could get a closer look at their new guests.
"Wow your hair is red," Abiyah said and Rogan replied in baby language which Abiyah was able to translate. "Yes I do have long hair," he replied as Rogan commented on his appearance.
"They seem to be getting along," Randy said as Seth laid Sasha down on Randy's big couch so she could continue to sleep.
"That's a good sign," Randy said as Rebecca Rogan and Abiyah interacted for the first time. "It's good that our children get along, if I want my granddaughter to play with anyone its Abiyah Rollins,"
Seth smiled as Randy went to make them some coffee, he loved hearing Randy refer to Abiyah as his son as opposed to Roman's. While Seth was under no delusion that Abiyah was not his biological son, he loved him like he was and he wanted him to have the best family in the world.
"I love that you still call him a Rollins, even though he's a Reigns," Seth said as Randy handed him some espresso. "That means a lot to me, he means a lot to me, even though I'm willing to let him go be with his real father,"
Randy looked at Seth seriously, "You don't really think its going to be that easy do you?" he said to Seth taking a sip of his americano. "For the record, I respect you for doing the honourable thing and sticking by your wife after her treacherous and dishonourable behaviour. If you think Sasha is bad now, you wait 'til Roman goes for full custody. You're going to see a side of your wife you've never seen before,"
Seth felt nauseous at the thought of that but he wanted what was best for Abiyah, "Just as long as Abiyah's happy, that's all I care about," Seth said. "I can handle Sasha and Shane McMahon but I don't want Abi in any danger,"
Randy chuckled gently, "I find it interesting that you think you can get out of this unhurt," he said. "You're the glue keeping your marriage together. Seth, your happiness means everything. Your feelings matter too, this assignment was built around you and the longer you stay away from the God Girls, the more unhappy you are going to be,"
Randy got up and unfurled Shawl, "Look at your prayer shawl?" he said and Seth watched as Shawl barely rose off the ground. Shawl was exhausted but not just from the trip around the world. "This prayer shawl was a Gift to you from God and like all things from the Father, it is subject to the Holy Spirit. Shawl is weak because he had Sasha on him for hours. She drained him down to the level of a normal rug and she'll do the same to you and Abiyah if you continue to spend any more time with her,"
Seth sighed angrily, "I have a plan okay? I just need to show Sasha that the God Girls are not the problem. I need to spend some more time with her so she'll see that they're not a threat. We had a lovely trip around the world and when she wakes up, I'm going to talk to her about our future. I'll make her see that we don't need to cut people out of our lives to be happy. I'll remind her that if it wasn't for Becky Lynch, Abiyah would still be missing. She'll realise that the God Girls are good to have around and that fighting them is unnecessary," he said.
Randy looked at Seth silently and then he took another sip of his coffee before talking, "Do you know why Trish and I are still married?" he asked Seth.
"Because you have great chemistry and you're crazy about each other?" Seth answered.
"No, I mean yes, both those things are True but that's not why we're still married. The reason why Trish and I are still married is because we're on the same side. Have you started to see how different a person you are from Sasha since you've been separated from the God Girls?" Randy asked but he already knew the answer to that question.
"Yes," Seth replied, "but I still love her,"
Randy took a long pause before making his next comment, "Seth, you don't know what love is," he finally said. "You have values like honour, loyalty and respect but when it comes to Sasha, she's a totally different person. You're allowing her bad habits to rob you of everything that makes you the perfect leader of the God Girls. Let me tell you something Seth, love listens, love is patient, love is giving. Does any of that sound like Sasha? You know who that does sound like? It sounds like you, it sounds like ATM, it sounds like the DX family and it sounds like the God Girls. This assignment was never given to you so you could be the man that Sasha wants you to be. It was given to you so that you could be the man that God wants you to be. So you need to ask yourself Rollins, what type of man do you want to be once this assignment is over?"
"I want to be Sasha's husband when this assignment is over and I want the God Girls back by my side with me. Can't I have them both? That's what I want Randy and I'm gonna get it, I am not giving up on my wife. She's not perfect but she makes me happy," Seth argued and Randy nodded graciously as he spoke, "It won't always be like this, I'm trying to iron out the creases in order for that to happen. I want my wife and the God Girls and Roman all at the same-time. I don't want to have to spend more time away from the God Girls than I have to but it's necessary that I do for now. When Sasha loses Abiyah to Roman, she's gonna finally realise that I am all she needs and that I ain't going nowhere,"
Randy smiled at Seth, "You're ability to battle for your marriage is commendable and I'm not rooting against you Seth, I'm pro marriage and I'm pro you, but I'm also pro DX, ATM and God Girls and I want you to finish this assignment," Randy leaned towards Seth and gave him an earnest look, "You have my full support, if you need anything from me, please let me know,"
Randy took Seth's empty cup and went to the kitchen leaving Seth alone with his thoughts. He watched Abiyah and Rebecca Rogan play thinking of his newborn baby girl who was due at the end of the year. The idea of Abiyah not being around suddenly burned a hole in his stomach, still he knew that Abiyah growing up with Roman was what was best. He just hoped Sasha would soon see it that way.
Seth walked over to where Sasha was sleeping, then he knelt down next to her and pressed his head against her pregnant stomach. He started to pray with the Holy Spirit and soon Shawl started to rise, strengthened by the presence of the Lord. The Ortons' living room was filling up with the glory of God and Shawl flew around the room, reinvigorated by the power of God and Abiyah and Rogan rejoiced as holy angels sang over them.
Randy dropped to his knees in reverence to God as he came back into the living room and saw the glory of God falling like a big white blanket. Seth was using his Gift of Prayer to cast out every evil spirit that was coming against him and his family and he stayed in that posture of prayer all night. Randy put the children to bed as Seth prayed through the night and Sasha slept right though never waking once.
Randy called Trish who was still in Connecticut and when he told her how powerful Seth's Gift of Prayer was and that their home was saturated with the presence of God, his wife told him about the drama that was about to go down in Stamford.
"Keep the Rollins in New York for as long as you can. The longer we can keep Sasha separated from her father the better. If the God Girls can get rid of Shane McMahon and Bray Wyatt, maybe Seth's dream of getting everyone on the same page will come True before SummerSlam," Trish said.
"That's pretty optimistic of you Trish and very uncharacteristic I might add," Randy said and Trish smiled.
"What can I say? I believe in the power of love," she said. "I want Seth and Sasha to make it, don't you?"
Randy listened to the heart-felt prayers of Seth Rollins rising all throughout the house and he smiled before responding to his wife's question, "Yes, yes I do," he said. After years of being one of Sasha's biggest detractors, Seth's prayers had finally made Randy into something he never thought he would be when it came to Seth and Sasha and he went to bed praying for the first time, that he was wrong about the Boss and that Seth was right.
