Chapter Twenty Four – Thunder Lines
The Ortons
Sasha Rollins eyes slowly opened as she rose from her long nap during Seth's night of prayer. She was well rested, her unborn baby girl was growing well and comfortably inside her and her son was sleeping just by her head. She hugged Abiyah close to her and thought about how much strain their relationship had been under since she left the Sandbox and he found out that Roman was his real father. She too had just found out who her real father was, needless to say, both Sasha and Abiyah had their worlds rocked by the Truth about where they came from. For Sasha, it was just validation of who she was supposed to be and who she always thought she was. She was the Boss, she was the best and she was the most powerful and influential woman in the wrestling business. That made her son one of the most powerful heirs in the wrestling business and he was who he was because of who she was. All of that meant nothing to Abiyah because the person he was, was not the person hugging his mother right now. This was the closest they had been for a long time and suddenly, all of Sasha's resentment of the fact that he was Roman's child and not Seth's, melted away. She pressed his head against her chest and spoke words of adoration over him. Though he was sleeping, Abiyah felt her emotions pouring over him. Sasha apologised for resenting him, she apologised for treating him like he wasn't her son. She apologised for pushing him away and making herself so unlikeable. After she apologised for all the bad things that had gone on between them, she kissed his head and smiled.
"I'll make it up to you Abi," she said and she rested him down onto the bed and rose to her feet. Ra-Ra watched as Sasha left the Ortons' guest bedroom and when she was gone, he jumped onto the bed and curled up next to Abiyah.
As she walked down the hallway to the staircase, Sasha could hear her husband Seth praying.
"Amen," Seth said and he removed his prayer shawl from his head and placed it around his shoulders. "Did you sleep well my love?" he asked her and Sasha took his hand and squeezed it.
"Yes, I hope the Ortons don't mind us staying over for a night," Sasha said and Seth leaned over to kiss her.
"You look beautiful," Seth told her and she did, hearing it from Seth made all the difference. Once again, she felt like she needed his approval, which meant that she was starting to care how he felt about her. She'd been so busy trying to impress her father that she stopped wanting to know how Seth felt about her. She knew he loved her but she still wasn't sure they were on the same page.
"I still want to go back to the Sandbox, I think we should fight for it Seth, it is ours. Hunter gave it to us, the God Girls can live somewhere else. The Sandbox means nothing to us but it means a lot to me and my family," Sasha said and Seth wondered what family she was referring to.
"I talked to Randy while you were sleeping and we can't actually go anywhere right now," Seth said. "Trish told him that we need to stay in New York for a little bit longer,"
Sasha laughed gently, "Since when do I listen to Trish Stratus?" she asked Seth while she kissed his face. Seth didn't know if this was the right time to remind Sasha that it was ATM that had commissioned him and if it wasn't for them, he wouldn't have his Gift from God. So, what Trish said meant a lot to him, plus, she was "The Truth: Trish Stratus," she knew things before they happened because of her Prophetic Gift. It would be foolish not to listen to her but as his wife's gentle kisses massaged his jawline like tiny rose coloured pillows, it was hard for Seth to concentrate on anything related to his assignment.
Randy Orton saw them kissing at the top of the staircase and knew that now was not the time to tell them they were about to be visited by Bray Wyatt. He wanted them to enjoy every moment they could get when it was just about them, not DX, not ATM and not even the God Girls, so he let them kiss uninterrupted, as Bray Wyatt proceeded to try and break into the Ortons' home.
Aurora Rose and Rebecca Michelle and RJ Orton flew over New York City towards the Ortons' home from Massachusetts. As they drew closer to Randy and Trish's home, they felt the presence of evil thickening in the atmosphere. Bray Wyatt looked up and saw the DX kids coming unfazed by the haze of evil surrounding him, Liv and the Street Profits.
"Come into the lion's den little children," Bray said and he smashed through the Ortons front window and made a beeline for Randy. "Stand guard!" he said to Liv and the Profits who guarded the front of the house to stop the DX kids from coming in.
Randy Orton stood tall as Bray Wyatt reached for his neck and pushed him down to the ground. "Where is she?" he said to Randy while choking him and Randy fought against Bray's death grip. He wasn't expecting the DX children to be coming to the rescue.
"Let go of my father!" RJ Orton yelled at Bray Wyatt who turned and shoved Randy to the ground. He looked at Liv Morgan and the Street Profits.
"Why didn't you take them out?!" he yelled at them as RJ attended to his father.
"Because they don't work for you anymore," Aurora Rose Helmsley said and Bray wondered what had happened. His spell seemed to have no effect on Liv Morgan and the Street Profits who appeared to be back to normal.
"What are we doing here?" Liv asked the Profits who attended to Randy with his son RJ while Rebecca Michelle and Aurora Rose stared Bray Wyatt down.
"You can't mess with us, we're DX kids and we came prepared to take you down," Rebecca Michelle said and she threw the spare Bray repellent jacket to Hayworth Helmsley, who too had been freed from Bray's spell thanks to Professor Alexander.
"You have all the time in the world to hate me Bray Wyatt," Hayworth said coming closer to Bray, "but if I were you, I'd give up this plan to take over the WWE with Shane McMahon and finally come to your senses,"
Bray Wyatt watched as Hayworth pulled on this jacket that all of the DX kids were wearing. Clearly there was something on the jacket that was giving the DX kids some kind of invincibility to his evil powers.
"Why aren't you bending to my will?" Bray asked Hayworth.
"Because I have a will of my own, just like you did once. Do you even remember who you used to be before you became this monster version of yourself? Don't you see that Shane McMahon is using you to carry out his evil plans? You don't have any beef with my family, have you forgotten about the woman that you love? What about her Bray? Shouldn't you be using all of your energy to get her back?" Hayworth said and Bray Wyatt's face suddenly softened.
"That's impossible young heir to the throne," he said and he turned and looked up at Seth Rollins who was watching them all from the staircase with Sasha. "He made that dream end when he became a man of God. You see, when the God Girls became a thing, a bridge was broken between me and Alexa forever. Now he has taken her place and my only chance at true happiness is to destroy the good that he has done while I was in the shadows. I have to be on top, then she'll remember who I am and the man you used to be. That's the only way I can get her back and Shane McMahon can help me do that Mr Helmsley. You see, I have to fight for what I want, and that's something you will never understand,"
"I think we've heard enough," Hayworth said and he took off his jacket and flung it around Bray Wyatt. Suddenly, Bray went into convulsions and he hit the ground shaking violently.
"What's happening to him?!" Sasha asked Seth as he pressed her closer to him watching as the whole thing went down.
"He's winning the war for DX," Seth said quietly without Sasha hearing him and he watched with great pleasure as the DX kids delivered Bray Wyatt from the evil that had consumed him for years by throwing all of their Bray repellent jackets on him. The evil spirit controlling Bray couldn't compete with the repellent and the presence of God that had been set at the Ortons' home thanks to all of Seth's prayer. Moments later, Bray lay still and Randy Orton and the DX children surrounded him watchfully. His eyes were shut for a while, then when they popped open he rose up and looked around like he was in a strange place.
"How long have I been here?" he said and Randy Orton helped him to his feet.
"You haven't been here for awhile Bray but it looks like you're finally back," Randy said and Bray Wyatt looked at him and eventually, he broke into a light smile.
"Randy, my old friend," Bray said sweetly and Randy smiled right back at him.
"Welcome back, old friend," Randy said and they hugged while the DX children cheered.
Seth tried to stop the smile from breaking out on his face but it was almost impossible for him to hide it. Now that the DX kids had delivered Bray Wyatt from the evil spirit controlling him, Shane McMahon couldn't use him to get the DX family jewels. This meant that the McMahon war against DX was over and peace would be restored to the DX family.
Sasha looked at Seth with fury in her eyes which took the Prayer Warrior a little by surprise, "You did this," she seethed and her hair started to sparkle. "you told Bray Wyatt to come here knowing that the DX kids would trap him, now he's useless! How is my father supposed to beat DX now?!"
Seth was startled by Sasha's angry tone and he found himself walking backwards to get away from her.
"Sasha, are you okay?" Seth asked her concerned but he should have been more concerned for himself.
"After all this time, you've been working with the DX family against me and my family!" Sasha screamed and the sound of her voice woke up Ra-Ra who was with Abiyah Rollins. The Arabian Oryx came out of the guest bedroom and saw Seth Rollins heading towards the steps but he was walking backwards, unaware that the steps were just behind him.
"Sasha calm down this has nothing to do with us, we're a family why are you bringing your father into this?!" Seth said with his hands up as Sasha continued to walk towards him until he found himself teetering on the staircase.
"Because he's the only father I've ever had and my loyalty is to him. That's more than I can say about you!" Sasha roared and she pushed Seth over the steps and Randy and the DX kids gasped along with Liv Morgan, the Street Profits and Bray Wyatt as Seth's body sailed over the steps.
Ra-Ra leaped passed Sasha, over the staircase and caught Seth in the air landing on his feet. Seth was unharmed but he was in shock. Bray Wyatt couldn't believe it.
"She just tried to kill you," he said to Seth and Randy Orton stared at Sasha with contempt.
"And I believed in you," he said regretfully as Liv Morgan and the Street Profits comforted Seth who shook them off as Sasha turned and headed back to the guest bedroom. When she returned she had a sleeping Abiyah in her arms and her handbag around her shoulder.
"We're leaving, you can join us when you decide where your loyalties are," she said to Seth but before she could reach the door, Ra-Ra roared loudly and he bit Sasha's ankle. "Arghhh!" Sasha cried and she let go of Abiyah but Seth caught him before he fell.
"Ra-Ra that's enough!" Seth said and Ra-Ra backed away leaving Sasha bleeding by the doorway.
"My ankle! Someone get me to a hospital!" she cried and Seth leaned down and prayed over her ankle and it was instantly healed. "You're finally doing the right thing by me," she said to him and he nodded.
"I'll always have your back," he said as Sasha stood to her feet.
"Good, then let's go," she said and the Rollins turned to leave but Randy Orton knew they weren't going anywhere.
Seth opened the door to see the God Girls looking right back at them with smiles on their faces.
"Looks like we got here just in time," Bianca Belair said looking at Sasha's electrified hair as the other God Girls, especially Alexa Bliss, noticed that Liv and the Profits were okay and Bray Wyatt was back to normal.
"Get out of our way!" Sasha yelled but the God Girls wouldn't let her pass.
"We need to talk," Bianca Belair said to Seth Rollins, knowing what Sasha had just done to him and Bayley was in no mood to be messed around by Sasha. Keeping Seth safe was the only thing that mattered to her and the God Girls were in total agreement, that they weren't going anywhere unless Seth was going with them. It was time for the leader of the God Girls to come back home.
