Chapter Two
"Just like clockwork." Marinette mumbles, as she puts a pad on. The cramping had woken her at few hours ago. Boy, she wishes she could call Cat to come and quell the cramps. Sex is great for cramps! Alas he said he's busy for the time being, he'd see her on the weekend for their patrol.
Looking down at the ring he gave her, she smiles and kisses it. If she wasn't so mad at Ayla, she'd rush to tell her. The only message she's got from Ayla is "Are you gonna pay the rent? You do know we already owe them money and they're pissed?"
"She can pay her own rent, I'm not even on the lease." Smirking she gets dressed and walks out of her bathroom.
"Marinette, are you up there? We're home." Her Maman yells from the kitchen.
Sighing Marinette grabs her purse and coat, and walks into the kitchen.
"Hey, how was the cruise?" She smiles, seeing them both sunburned and happy.
"Why is it you need a vacation to get over the vacation?" Her Papa says, as she collapses onto the couch. Immediately snoring.
"Nice ring." Her Maman winks as she looks at her hand.
Marinette blushes and hides her hand before smiling and glancing at her Papa, before leaning in.
"I'm engaged to Cat Noir, he's going to reveal his identity to me on Christmas Day. Don't tell Papa until I know who he is." Marinette whispers, glancing at her snoring Papa. Sabine had figured out Marinette was Ladybug a few years ago. She had only told Marinette recently, when Cat Noir started hanging around her a lot. Since the enemy is gone, she figured it's ok to tell her.
"Oh Marinette, I'm so happy for you." Her Maman hugs her and squeals quietly. "Who do you think he is? Think it's Adrien?"
"Maman!" Marinette flushes bright red, and tries not to get aroused by that thought.
"Wouldn't that be nice." She smiles and makes some tea.
Slipping the ring onto her necklace, Marinette walks to the store to buy some more pads and pain pills for her cramps.
"Hey Mari! You look like you're glowing." A familiar voice calls her from down the street. Looking down she sees Adrien.
"Adrien Agreste! As I live and breathe! Where have you been!" She squeaks as throws herself unceremoniously into his arms.
Laughing he spins her around, before setting her down and hugging her tightly.
"Travelling mostly. Big news! I'm getting married!" Adrien beams and shows her his ring.
Marinette blinks and even though she's engaged to Cat Noir, her heart sinks slightly. Her dreams of marrying Adrien, are truly crushed.
"Marinette?" He chuckles, as he pokes her.
Jumping she looks up at him. "Oh sorry! Wow, congratulations! Do I know her?"
"I can't say just yet, it's a secret. I need to figure a few things out first, plus tell my father. You'll be the first to know, I promise." Winking, he frowns.
"Are you okay?" He touches her hand so soft and gently.
"Yeah, cramps and nauseous." Grinning, she squeezes his hand. "Let's get coffee and chat?"
"Deal!" He smiles and pulls her across the street to the chemist.
Adrien Agreste getting married to someone who's not Marinette. Where did they go wrong?!
