Jack jumped out in Pitch's lair. He told Baby Tooth to be silent and they sneaked around a bit. They soon found themselves in some sort of throne room. It also had a globe, similar to the one at the North pole. They saw an angry Pitch in front of it.

"This last light! Why won't it stop!"'

There was really one light glowing. Maybe it is a coincidence with where it is placed, but Jack is sure he knows who it symbolizes.

Jamie Benett.

Jack's tunnel opened in front of Jamie. This scared the boy shitless. Jack then realized Jamie does not know about his form.

"Ah, sorry!"

He changed back and Jamie relaxed.

"Jack?"

"Hup, kiddo.", confirmed Jack.

"I'm sorry for my dog."

"It's okay, he apparently sensed my true form.", explained Jack. "Listen, the Guardians are in trouble. I need your help."

"Why me?", asked Jamie.

"Because you're the only believer right now."

They walked out the street. Jack stopped when he heard something. It sounded like North's sleigh.

"Oh, Moonlight, them.", said Jack. "Good that I switched forms."

Jamie asked, "They don't know?"

"Nope, and I'm not sure if I want them to know... we had an... intense fallout... especially with Bunny.", explained Jack, "Don't tell them, please."

Jamie gave a nod. The sleigh then landed... in a crashing manner. The Guardians stepped out, and to their surprise, a small rabbit, instead of the big Bunny.

Jack tried not to laugh, something Jamie failed.

"Jack! We're sorry-"

"Save the apology.", interrupted Jack the small rabbit. "I have an idea... if you trust me."

"Well, we have no other option."

They were sliding though the city on improvised sleighs, something Bunny disliked. On their way though the city, they got the attention of Jamie's friends. Jack had to make them believe, and he had an idea. He took his watch and infused it with his magic. The watch opened and a light ball came out and then another. Each light flew to one of the kids, but Jamie. Unlike the spirits they don't believe in, these balls were perfectly visible. Jamie told them to touch them.

Cupcake was the first to do so. She gasped and pressured them to touch them as well. After all the kids touched them, they saw the spirits again.

"Frostbite, what did you do?", asked Bunny.

Jack replied, "Just a little trick Sandy taught me once. I shared a memory, well, an information with them."

Toothiana was silently impressed. Though, she is a bit angry at Sandy. Why didn't he show her this? She isn't surprised that he could, dreams have access to memories after all. Dreams help processing them. But why did he teach them to Jack? He is more in tune with Manny, maybe he had a feeling Jack could get use out of it?

"What now?", asked a girl.

"Now you fear me.", spoke Pitch, revealing himself.

"Yeah, no.", replied Jack.

He then attacked Pitch with his whips. He now remembers most of the stuff Sandy, or more specifically Sanderson taught him in his old life. The guardians jumped into fight as well. North and Bunny even summoned the Yeti and egg golem.

Pitch send a Nightmare his way. But he grabbed it and slammed it against a building like he did the Fearling millennia ago.

"Deja vu."

And with that, Pitch realized who Jack is. But it didn't matter.

"I will kill you, one and for all."

"I'm not afraid of your empty threats.", said Jack.

He turned to Jamie, who did look scared.

"Kiddo, Jamie, he may be real, but he isn't that scary with us here.", said Jack. Jamie gave him another nod and stepped in front of Jack, the nightmares were charging.

"I believe in you, but I don't fear you.", Jamie said, becoming less scared with each word.

He touched a Nightmare and it burst into golden sand. The nightmares behind it burst as well. The golden sand collected itself and formed Sandy.

"Sandy!", yelled Toothiana, happy to see her friend.

"Huh, guess the Death-lings were right.", said Mythra, appearing behind Jack. She gave the Guardians a big scare. "Spirits never die."

"Mythra?", wondered Jack. "What are you doing here?"

"Watching the show, I sense secrets getting revealed.", she explained, summoning Shuriken. "And keeping you save, I know you hate if it happens."

"Myth, I love you like a brother, but I can't stand your cryptic stuff."

"No shit, Jack?"

"Children hear us.", replied, gesturing to Jamie and his friends. Said friends were busy touching Nightmares, turning them into dreams. The Guardians were destroying others. Jack send a memory ball to Sandy, who replied with a hug.

This hug took Jack by surprise, his glamour failed.

Mythra laughed at this, "Secret out, eh, Kangaroo?"

"Shut it, Myth.", muttered Jack. He turned to the Guardians. "I explain after we beat Pitch."

Bunny saw the blank hand print. "You-You're the pooka from the blizzard."

"Duh."

"Oh, no. I think they want to know now.", laughed Pitch. "Jack over there is a Pooka like Bunny. Do you really want to trust someone who hides something like this?"

"We trust him more than your words!", yelled Bunny, throwing his boomerang.

Mythra telported behind Pitch, throwing Shuriken at him. He blocked them with his scythe. Mythra then teleported away. Jack saw her ending a Nightmare that was attacking one of the kids.

Jack made a tunnel and a bandage whip slithered into it. It reappeared under Pitch, pulling him off his feet. He got dragged into a nearby forest, away from the kids.

In the forest, surrounded by the Guardians, Pitch realized he couldn't win. Not with all of them fighting him, not with two Pookas. Not with the addition of a myth. Not that he would give up so easily.

"See it as payback, Pitch.", said Jack. The guardians wondered what he meant, but Sandy and Mythra knew.

"I'm not done."

Nightmares appeared. Jack looked around and just said, "Sure that they aren't here for you? My watch says your time is over, Bitch."

"Jack!"

"No children there, Myth.", replied Jack to the offended spirit. The Guardians were more offended, tough, Sandy was lesser. He may or may not have taught Jack a word or two.

Then the nightmares rushed to them, dragging Pitch off. Who knows where.

Bunny put a paw onto Jack's shoulder, the shorter Pooka flinched.

"You owe us an explanation, Frostbite."

"Yeah."

Jack, Sandy and Mythra, to some extent, explained Jack's life. Toothiana constantly reminded Bunny that he was wrong, that he isn't alone. North the while was irritated by Mythra.

"I may not be a spirit, but the cottontail is my friend and friends help.", was all she said. "not to mention, I'm Mythra, it's my job to be mysterious."

And she left. Jack rolled his eyes. The Guardians understood she is always like this and Jack is too used to her cryptic personality.

"I-I'm sorry, mate, for everything." Bunny then asked, "So, you know the Death-lings?"

"Yeah... they aren't as bad as you think."

AN: I suck at writing endings!

Also, something I wasn't able to add without this feeling forced:

Jack is not the Guardian of Fun. He is the Guardian of Guidance and Protection. (Maybe even Identity?) I believe due to the changed backstory, his center should be different as well. After all, our experiences form our being.

And now the teaser for the next Rise of the Guardians Fanfiction! This one won't come until December 2023.

Silence of the Winter:

The winder is the silent season. People who say this are right, but for a different reason than they think. The herald of winter, the spirit of winter is silent.

Jack Frost is mute. He was always like this.
He fears other spirits, he was always like this.
He was lonely, he was always like this.

And he knows why he is lonely just to well.
