Christmas Advent
Chapter 19-December 19th
Mike got home late again, but on a much happier note. He was there to welcome Danny and his unit home and to present the men to their families. There had been a big dinner afterwards but Mike headed home after a few toasts and found another box on his porch. This was smaller but there was a note and a dinner for him.
"It's a good thing you did. I saw it on the news. I am proud of you."
Mike smiled at the note, heated up the casserole and ate in front of his TV. He only had a few days until he knew who had been leaving the presents and would hopefully have a much happier Christmas than years recently past.
