Thanks to anonymous on tumblr the prompt that had to do with knitting! Hope you enjoy :)

"How can you be so chipper?" Law's voice was cold enough for icicles to form from the syllables, even if the temperatures around them wouldn't have done that already.

Nami leaned her skis against the tall trunk of a pine, its wide crown swaying gently in the heights above them. Sprinkles of snow floated down all around them as they dislodged from the spindly needles and sometimes a distant 'thump' signalled a larger drop.

The world was beautiful.

Grue sparkled in the sunlight all around them, the crystalline shards of snow and ice reflecting and blinding in their brightness. The slightest gust of wind threw up sparkling clouds of fine snow which then gently floated down to rest on their undisturbed brethren.

Nami first adjusted her sunglasses against the shimmer and then adjusted the thin seat pad on the tree stump she had chosen as her throne for the day. Or until they'd gotten some energy and could continue their skiing trip.

"I thought you grew up in winter?" she asked, rummaging in her backpack for the thermos Sanji had provided them with. The rich smell of hot chocolate filled the air as she unscrewed the cork and Nami gave a little hum of happiness.

"Grew up, yes," Law said, trying to position his own seating pad on the large rock he had decided on. Unfortunately, the domed shape meant that the pad had a tendency to slip of before he managed to seat himself. "But I also left for greener and, above all, warmer pastures as soon as I could."

"Layers," Nami answered in a sing-song voice, handing the grumpy man a tangerine.

"I am wearing layers," Law complained, demonstratively peeling off three pairs of mittens to be able to peel the fruit. "But my feet are freezing." He wiggled his feet, ski clasps clattering against the hard surface.

"My feet are toasty," Nami hummed in contentment, wiggling her own toes inside her skiing boots. "Robin really knits the greatest socks."

"I am pure, green envy."

"As you should. If you ask her nicely, she might knit a pair for you too."
