"I read recently, that they're using lawyers instead of rats, for scientific experiments." Peter's voice rang throughout the Hall. The audience chuckled. So he went on.

"They do this for two reasons: One, the scientists become less attached to the lawyers." He joked. The audience chuckled again. "And two, there's certain things that even rats won't do."

At that, that audience burst into polite laughter. Peter took a sip of water from the provided glass, before attending the microphone.

"I would like to thank the board of trustees, of the Great Ormon Street hospital, for having me here this evening. And beg your forgiveness, cause normally, I'm used to addressing shareholders." Peter announced. The men, and a few women chuckled at that.

He cleared his throat. "We don't know each other... And I doubt we have very much in common... Except this wonderful woman: Wendy Angela Darling... Granny Wendy brought me in from the cold. She taught me to read and write, and even found people to be my parents and adopt me. She also saved my youngest son and brought him into my life..."

He smiled here. "She's loved so many children just so efforlet-effors-effortlessly... That's her achievement." Granny Wendy looked down as he spoke, but every other eye in the Hall was on Peter.

"Many of you here tonight were once lost children. But Granny Wendy found parents and homes for each of you. And saved you. That's her miracle. And I know that if you could stand right now, you would express much better than I have..."

A man stood from his table with a smile, and blew her a kiss. Peter continued with a smile. "Your feelings of gratitude... Appreciation... And warm feelings.. For this wonderful woman."

Soon everyone in the Hall had stood up out of respect for the woman known as Granny Wendy. Moira was shocked and Wendy had tears in her eyes. Harry shared a smile with his dad, as the later spoke. "I guess we do have something in common... We're orphans."

Back at the house, Nanna, the dog, was barking from her chain in the backyard. The wind was blowing the doors back and forth, while shut.

On the couch next to a table with a well worn top hat, a pair of glasses, and a teddy, slept Uncle Tootles. In his sleep, as Nanna barked, he barked too. But slowly, this barks became a word filled with fear and sinister air. "Hook!"

Tootles jerked awake as he realized what he was repeating. His eyes flew across the table to an old glass bottle on a stand. Inside of it, was a miniature Spanish Galleon on resin based water.

Upstairs in the children's room, the wind bashed against the window. Jack and Maggie were awakened by a squeek. The sound of a rusted hinge moving... Or the sound of a lock slowly sliding open. The children looked to the door from their beds in fear.

Cheers rang through the Hall as a tray was pushed on a cart through the middle. It held a small replica of the new single if the hospital. As that happened, Harry was playing a lively tune on his pipes.

Wendy stood up with a smile and clapped her hands together. But her frown fell, bit a moment before a heavy wind blew through the windows, causing the curtains to fly. Harry stopped his song as soon as he noticed.

The back doors swung open as Tootles watched on, horror in his eyes. There was a green light that shines so bright, you couldn't see anything else. The only sounds were howling wind and shattering glass.

~

Jack and Maggie his under their covers as the mobile on the roof spun rapidly, but it was for naught. The window burst open! The raging wind knocking over the ten and ripping the covers off the children, causing them to scream.

Granny Wendy dropped her glass as she fell into her seat. The wind was heavy and Moira and Peter were in each side, with Harry behind her. "Granny Wendy, are you alright?" He asked. She nodded shakily. The audience remained clapping.
