It was the afternoon and Penny, Carrie, Carmen, Teri, Masami, and Molly, were all hanging out together in Molly's treehouse, gossiping about the latest news.

"Ugh, the sky's getting dark. Look like it's gonna rain." Teri noticed as she looked at the sky,

"Well, we'll be dry in here at least."

As they talked Carmen looked outside and noticed Anais and Jamie walking past, Anais laughing as she held Jamie's hand.

"Oh hey, there's Jamie and Gumball and Darwin's sister."

Masami scoffed. "Ugh, the brute and her new friend? Can't believe she'd be friends with a dumb toddler! The embarrassment..."

Penny frowned. "Hey, she can be friends with whoever she wants! Besides, Anais is way smarter and more mature than a normal toddler. She's mentally more like one of us,"

"It's still embarrassing...I wouldn't be seen dead with her..." Masami shook her head and looked away.

Penny rolled her eyes then smiled and called out to them "Hey guys, what are you up to?"

Anais looked up towards the treehouse. "Hmm? Oh hey Penny!" She waved. "Uh, not much really, we were just heading home to do...I dunno, something, We hadn't got that far yet."

"Well, would you like to come and join us?" She offered

Anais gasped in delight and began to smile. "Really?!"

"Sure, the more the merrier!"

Anais smiled and looks at Jamie who shrugged in agreement, and they began to walk over.

Masami glared at Penny. "What?! Why did you invite them in? They're gonna ruin everything!"

"Hey, at least give them a chance!"

"Gumball's sister is fine, it's Jamie I don't trust..." Teri spoke up.

"Why?" Penny crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow.

"Well she's...you know..."

"What...?"

"A brute, a bully! Do we really want someone like her here?"

Now Carrie spoke up. "I dunno, she seems a lot nicer since she became friends with Anais. I say we give her a chance."

"Carmen?"

"Uhh, sorry, but I have to agree with Teri and Masami. I don't think this is a good idea..."

Penny sighed. "Come on guys, please! At least give them a chance..."

"No, we don't want them here and that's final." Masami crossed her arms.

Molly looked at them, then at Penny who looked pleadingly. She turned back to the others and spoke up. "You know what? As the owner of the treehouse, I say they can come in."

Masami, Teri, and Carmen all began to complain but Molly held out her hand and stopped then. "Ah-ah-ah, no complaining! Everyone deserves a fair chance, even Jamie!"

The three looked away annoyed as they mumbled their disagreement.

Anais and Jamie finally climbed in.

"Err...hey guys!" Anais greeted them awkwardly,

"Hey..." Jamie quietly said, feeling awkward hanging around a bunch of kids she used to bully.

Anais noticed Masami in the corner and frowned, glaring at her. "Oh...it's you." She turned away and went to sit with Penny, Carrie, and Jamie, who had also sat down.

"Oh, it's the baby who thinks she's Miss Smartypants!" She retaliated, glaring back.

Anais crossed her arms and looked at her in disgust. "Don't expect me to just be cool with you now, not with how you always treat me. I haven't forgotten what you did to me on my first day at Elmore Junior High, even if it was a year ago, nor have I forgiven you for it."

Masami rolled her eyes. "Pfft, whatever, like if I care. You don't belong there, you never have. You're a toddler, a baby. You aren't one of us, and you never will be!"

"Masami, don't be so rude!" Penny shouted as Anais looked down, beginning to tear up as she felt hurt.

Penny noticed and looked down at her as she began to cry softly. She held her paw and smiled at her reassuringly as she squeezed it. "Hey, don't pay any attention to her. Of course you're one of us." Anais smiled weakly, and Penny let her rest her head on her side as she wrapped her arm around her.

"Crybaby..." Masami looked away and rolled her eyes.

Carrie frowned and levitated Masami's bottle of water, emptying it over her, which made Anais stifle a giggle.

"Wha-hey!" She turned dark as she looked at her furiously.

"I don't give a damn about whatever past beef you two have, leave Anais alone! She hasn't done anything to you!" Carrie yelled as Anais began to smile, happy to have people willing to stand up for her.

'Grr, fine..." She crossed her arms and sat there quietly, continuing to glare at Anais.

Jamie meanwhile was staying quiet as Carmen and Teri glared at her disapprovingly.

"What?" She asked them, getting a little annoyed by it.

"Nothing, just...keeping an eye on you." Carmen says

"Why? You don't trust me?" She asked sounding a little upset.

"No, why would we? All you've done in the past is bully us."

"But I've changed now! I'm not like that anymore." She insisted.

"We'll believe that when we see it." Teri spoke up.

Jamie sighed and crosses her arms, looking away from them.

"So...what should we do?" Anais asked. wanting to change the subject.

They all remained quiet, either deep in thought or focused on their disapproval of Anais and/or Jamie until Molly spoke up. "Ooh, let's play try truth or dare! We can get to know the new gals better!"

"I've never played that before."

"Why not?" Teri asked.

"I've always wanted to but I've never had anyone to do with, and now that I do I haven't really had a chance to."

"Perfect, we'll do that then!" Penny smiled.

They all shrugged and agreed.

"Who goes first?" asked Carmen.

"I think Anais or Jamie should as they're new here." Carrie suggested.

Before anyone else could protest Molly nodded. "Okay then! Anais?"

"Hmm. Carrie, truth or dare?"

"Mmmm...Truth. She decided, wanting to play it safe for now.

"Okay..." She placed her paw on her chin as she thought. "What's it like being a ghost?" She eventually asked.

Carrie frowned. "Excuse me!?" She asked, sounding offended.

Anais' face turned to one of worry and confusion. "Huh? D...d-did I say something wrong...?"

"Do you have any idea how offensive that question is!? What is wrong with you!?" She crossed her arms.

Anais gasped and panicked, looking horrified. "What!? Oh no, no, I-I-I didn't mean to upset you! I-I-It was just a question, I-I didn't mean anything by it I s-swear!"

Carrie looked at her angrily before breaking into a grin and beginning to laugh, playfully punching her arm. "Ahhahahahahaha, I'm just...I'm just messing with you! You...you should've seen your face! I got you so good!"

Anais held her chest and sighed in relief. "Don't do that! I really thought I'd upset you!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!"

Anais just smiled and let out a small chuckle before rolling her eyes. "So, are you going to answer my question?"

Carrie regained her composure and wiped her eyes. "Oh, right, the question, Well, uhh, I suppose it kind of feels like you're...in another plane of existence, detached from everyone else. Like you're there, but you aren't at the same time."

"Huh...interesting..." Anais thought to herself.

"Carmen, truth or dare?" Carrie asked, turning to her

"Hmm...truth."

"Have you and Alan ever fought?"

"No, not really. I mean, we've had small disagreements here and there, but never full-on shouting or arguing."

"Really? Never?" Teri asked surprised.

"Nope, not once."

"Wow, you really are a perfect couple huh?"

"I'd like to think so." She smiled. "Hmm, Penny, Truth or Dare?"

She thought for a moment, before deciding to spice the game up a bit, and smiled as she crossed her arms. "You know what? Dare."

"Hmm.." She sat deep in thought thinking of a good dare before beginning to smirk. "Text Gumball and tell him you've been going out with someone behind his back."

"What!? You want me to tell Gumball I've been cheating on him?" Her eyes widened.

"Yeah, why, you too scared? You could always forfeit and reveal a really embarrassing secret instead.."

She hesitated as everyone looked at her in anticipation. She thought about it, then smiled as she knew exactly what to do. She got out her phone and texted Gumball as everyone gathered over her screen to make sure she was really doing it.

'Hey, just wanted to let you know, I've been secretly going out with Tobias for a while now. I'm really sorry." She typed out, then everyone gasped as she hit send.

"There. I did it." She crossed her arms, smiling.

"No way...you're crazy!" Masami gasped.

"Oh my god...he's gonna be furious!" Teri said.

"He might break up with you!" Molly worried.

"Mmm, I don't think so." Anais said.

"Why not?" Jamie asked her.

She crossed her arms and smiled, almost proudly. "If I know my brother, he's smart enough to know that she wouldn't really do that."

"Especially not with Tobias..." Carrie smirked.

"Pssh, nah, he's definitely gonna fall for it. He's already paranoid about losing her as it is. I mean, you told us about that whole emoji incident." Masami crossed her arms confidently.

"Well, yeah, but he trusts me, and I trust him. He knows I'd never leave him or go behind his back."

Suddenly her phone pinged with a response from him. Everyone excitedly gathered around her as she opened the text.

'LOL, pls, we both know you wouldnt do it with him. you playing truth or dare or smth? and we still on for tmrw?'

Anais smirked. "Told you!"

Masami scoffed and everyone else moaned at the lack of dram.

"Weren't you worried though?" Carmen asked, shocked at Penny's surprising lack of concern.

"Not at all."

"Why not?" Molly asked.

"We've joked about me going out with Tobias before, so I knew he wouldn't believe it if I said it was him I had been going out with it." Penny responded.

"Huh, you know each other better than I thought..." Teri replied.

"Of course I know him well, he's my boyfriend! Now, if you'll excuse me.."

She texted Gumball back. 'haha, yeah i am, Carmen dared me to text you. Anais is here with us too btw, shes having a great time! and yes see you tmrw, ily!'

She sent the text then put her phone away. "Right, Teri, Truth or Dare?"

"Truth." She replied almost instantly. No way was she going to risk a dare.

She thought for a moment. "What caused your germophobia? Like, did something happen or did it just develop, or...?"

"When I was only Anais' age I was in the park riding on a bunny springer and Darwin came running over naked and covered in trash and dirt and I was horrified. Luckily I got blown away from him."

"Wait, Darwin caused your germaphobia?" Anais asked surprised.

"Well, It was the first time I'd ever met him, but thinking back it was definitely him. What was he even doing running around like that anyway?"

"Beats me, I wasn't even born then. I'll have to ask him about it when I get home." She shrugged.

"Alright then. Uhh, Anais, Truth or Dare?"

"Truth." She said immediately, knowing better than to risk a dare.

"Ooh, I have a fun one! What's Gumball's most embarrassing secret?"

"Why ask me that? I have no idea."

"Really? But you're his sister!"

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean he tells me everything. The only person he trusts that much is Darwin. Besides, even if he did tell me, I wouldn't tell you lot. I wouldn't just betray his trust and spread his secrets behind his back like that."

"Wow, that was a boring turn then..." Teri sighed.

"Sorry." She shrugged. "Molly, Truth or Dare?"

"You know, let's have some fun. Dare."

"Hmmm..." Anais thought before grinning mischievously, having an idea to get some payback on Masami. "I dare you to kiss Masami. On the lips."

"What!?" Masami exclaimed.

"Alright, I can do that." Molly nodded.

"Ew, no, no way. Not happening."

"Why? Are you scared of a little smooch from Molly?" Anais teased her by puckering her lips and making kissing noises, which made the other girls laugh.

"Grr, shut up you little nerdy br-" She was unable to finish her insult however as she was suddenly kissed by Molly, a deep blush forming on her face as her eyes widened.

After a few seconds Molly let go and wiped her mouth as all the other girls laughed at Masami's reaction.

Masami remained their stunned as Molly began her turn. "Masami, truth or dare?"

She remained quiet for a few seconds before shaking her head. "Uhh, T-Truth. Truth."

"Did you enjoy the kiss?"

Masami blushed even harder, as she hesitated. "Well, I, Uh..."

"Well?" The girls waited in anticipation of her answer.

She cleared her throat. "Y-yeah..I...I guess so.."

"I knew it!" Anais giggled.

Masami glared at her before turning to Jamie, the only one who hadn't gone yet.

"Jamie, Truth or Dare?"

"Dare, obviously." No way was she going to miss out on the chance to prove herself to everyone here.

"Hmm..." Masami thought for a moment then smiled as she thought of a plan to get rid of Jamie, for a while at least. "I dare you go to deep into the Forest of Doom. On your own. Oh, and bring something back to prove that you did."

Everyone gasped.

"A-Are you sure that's a good idea? It looks like a storm is coming our way soon. The sky is pretty dark. She could get seriously hurt." Penny worried.

"Yeah, this seems like a bad idea..." Carmen agreed.

Jamie looked outside. "It does look pretty bad out.." She agreed.

"Pshh, are you scared? Are you chickening out of the dare?"

"What? N-No, of course not! I'm gonna go there right now!"

She stood up but stopped as Anais held her hand. "W-wait, no! You could get hurt!"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine, I promise. I'll be as quick as I can."

"Promise?"

"Promise." She ruffled the fur between Anais' ears.

Anais hesitated before nodding. "O-Okay..."

She let go and her ears lowered as she watched Jamie leave the treehouse, and head towards the unknown depths of the Forest of Doom. She could only hope that she'd be alright.
