Back in Black
It had been a few days since Izuku had disappeared and Kyouka has been an emotional wreck the entire time. She kept telling herself that she should have stayed to help Izuku, asking herself why wasn't she fast enough to get back to him in time.
Worst part about this was that Izuku's mother needed to be informed about what happened. At least Midoriya-san had All Might to keep her from having a complete breakdown after hearing that her son was missing. Kyouka on the other hand unfortunately had…
"I still can't believe you and Midori were dating behind our backs, Kyouka-chan!"
Currently, Class 1-A had gone to the area where Izuku disappeared in hopes of find some sort of clue of his whereabouts. Aizawa was originally against it, but Class 1-A absolutely refused to sit back while their friend and classmate was missing. So with some reluctance, Aizawa agreed to let them search for Izuku, but only on the term that they would stay in groups to prevent more disappearances.
Right now though, the girls were at a café, taking a break from the search if only to try and help Kyouka calm down. Too bad the fluffy alien had no tact.
"Now is not the time for that, Mina," stated Momo, as she tried to calm her teary-eyed best friend.
"H-Hey! I was just trying to help by trying to get Kyouka-chan's mind off of what's going on and onto happy thoughts!"
Even Mina knew that was a lame excuse, especially when Momo, Tsuyu, and presumably Tooru were giving her blanks looks. Ochaco on the other hand was giving Kyouka a venomous, jealous look.
"You know, Mina might be onto something. Why are you dating Deku-kun, Jirou?" demanded the anti-gravity girl with a hiss.
Despite her depressive state, Kyouka had enough energy to glare at Ochaco. She did NOT want to deal with this right now when Izuku was still out there somewhere.
"Ochaco-chan, don't, gero," said Tsuyu, not wanting to see two of her friends fight.
"No, I want answers!" exclaimed Ochaco, her glare intensifying.
"Oh look! Some of the boys are back!" squeaked out Tooru, trying to change the subject before a fight really did break out.
Looking over to where Tooru was pointing, the girls saw that the boys were indeed making their way over to them. The group consisted of Shouto, Tokoyami, Bakugou, Iida, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Shouji.
"Any luck, Todoroki-kun?" asked Momo, hoping for some positive news.
But the half-and-half boy merely shook his head. "No and no one seems to know anything about what happened a few days ago."
A growl then came from the ashy blond. "Damn shitty Deku! Getting his weak ass captured!"
This earned him a glare from both Kyouka and Ochaco and a reprimand from Iida.
"That's enough, Bakugou!"
"Iida's right, man. Besides, you got captured back in the summer, remember?" added Kaminari.
"Hey! I would have gotten out of that on my own!" yelled the bomb boy, having to be held back by Kirishima.
While Bakugou yelled his head off, Tokoyami turned to Kyouka.
"Jirou, are you absolutely sure that the men you and Midoriya encountered wore black robes?" asked the bird-headed boy
"Y-Yeah, but other than that I didn't get a good look at them," replied Kyouka. She then narrowed her eyes at the shadow user. "You know something, don't you?"
"I have an idea, but I won't know for sure until I have more information," explained Tokoyami before grimacing. "I just hope that I'm wrong."
Well that didn't bode well for Kyouka. If Tokoyami was having a bad feeling over this, that only made Kyouka's fear and worry grow even more.
"Whoever it was who took Midoriya, we'll deal with it and bring him back. Simple as that," stated Shouji.
"Yeah, what Shouji-kun said!" squeaked out Tooru. "Midoriya-kun is one of us and we won't give him up without a fight!"
The others started adding their own words of encouragement, causing Kyouka to become even more determined and hopeful of finding her Izuku-kun.
"And once Deku-kun is back home, everything will be back to way it should be before all of this!"
Kyouka could feel her eye twitch in annoyance from Uraraka's words. She could hear in the girl's tone what she was getting at. Well too bad! She was just going to have to accept that Izuku chose someone else over her.
Before Kyouka could tear down Uraraka's little fantasy, Kaminari's cellphone went off.
"Hey, it's Sero. Maybe they found something," said the electric boy as he answered his phone. "Yo, Sero! What'd you find?"
"We're being attacked!" cried out Sero, loud enough that the others could hear. "Some guy in a black robe came out of nowhere and just started attacking! He already took out Satou and is now going after Ojirou! The rest of us are trying to trap him, but he's too fast!"
Tokoyami then snatched the phone out of Kaminari's hand. "Sero, give us your location now! We'll be there as soon as we can!"
As Sero gave directions, Tokoyami used Dark Shadow to take to the sky, with both Shouto and Bakugou close behind. On the ground, Iida sped off to follow after them, while the rest were doing their best to catch up.
"Alright! Let's kick this guy's ass and get Midori-bro back!" exclaimed Kirishima with a sharp-toothed grin.
"Hell yeah!" added Kaminari, just as determined.
The others also cheered in determination as they moved. Kyouka, while determined, was also afraid. Afraid that Izuku could be hurt, or worse, because of those people who took him. She just wanted her Izuku back safe and sound.
"Jirou."
Startled out of her thoughts, she turned to see that Shouji had spoken.
"We will get him back," continued the octopus, giving the girl a side-glance.
Hearing the conviction in Shouji's voice, Kyouka's fear was overshadowed by her determination as she nodded her thanks to the much larger boy.
'We're coming, Izuku-kun. Just hold on.'

With Sero's group, the Taping Hero was pretty beat up from his attempts at trying to capture this villain, especially since he was pretty much on his own for the fight. Satou was on the ground unconscious, Aoyama and Kouda were sent to evacuate any civilians in the area, and Mineta ran off like a coward when the villain showed how skilled he was. What made things worse was that the villain had a barely conscious Ojirou by the neck.
"G-Give M-Midoriya back!" he heard Ojirou struggle to say. The tailed-boy then let out a strangled yelp as the villain tightened his hold on Ojirou's neck.
"O-Ojirou…" grunted out Sero as he tried to stand. He needed to do something before Ojirou's neck snapped.
It was then that the faint sound of explosions could be heard, gradually getting louder. Sero knew exactly what was coming, considering he's hung out with the guy long enough.
With one big boom, Bakugou appeared overhead and made his way towards the robed villain.
"Die!" yelled out the ashy blond as he got close, ready to blow shit up with his right hand
What Bakugou did not expect though was for the robed villain to let go of his hostage, grab his right arm, and flip him over his shoulder and slamming him hard onto the ground.
"Grah!" cried out Bakugou as pain shot through him and the air left his lungs. What's more is that he had a feeling of deva vu. 'What the fuck?!'
Just as Bakugou was taken down, Iida appeared and charged forward.
"Prepare yourself, villain! You will give our friend back!" exclaimed Iida as he accelerated his engines, going in for a kick. "Recipro Burst!"
Much like with Bakugou, the villain managed to grabbed Iida's leg and used the boy's speed against him, tossing him far and away.
"What?!" yelled Iida as he soared through the air and eventually landing in a nearby dumpster.
Despite taking down two opponents, the villain wasn't done yet as he suddenly had to dodge a wave of ice that was sent his way.
Shouto, with his right side covered in frost, kept his narrowed gaze on the villain; ready to send out another wave of ice to capture the target. He was about to do just that when the villain started to make his way to him, but a large shadowy claw slammed on the ground between them, making the villain stop.
"Todoroki, I'll be the one to challenge him. You focus on making sure he doesn't escape the vicinity," stated Tokoyami as he stared down his opponent.
Knowing that Tokoyami wasn't a glory seeker like Bakugou was, Shouto was curious as to why his dark affiliated classmate wished to fight this battle. "Are you sure?"
"Very."
"Yeah! We're going to kick his ass!" exclaimed Dark Shadow, brandishing his claws.
The sentient Quirk lashed out, taking a swipe at the villain, but the villain jumped back to dodge. He wasn't able to go far though as Shouto quickly produced an ice wall behind him. Not letting this deter him, the villain used the ice as a springboard to vault over the shadow user.
"I don't think so!" yelled out Dark Shadow as he stretched out his arm to grab the target, only for said target to twist around in the air and kick his had away. "Hey!"
"Let's go, Dark Shadow!" ordered Tokoyami as he activated Dark Abyss and ran forward to meet the villain head on.
Not backing down, the villain threw a punch towards Tokoyami, who blocked it with his arm. Even with his shadowy armor, Tokoyami could feel the strength in the punch.
'Please let me be wrong,' thought Tokoyami as he and the villain started to exchange blows in hand-to-hand combat. 'But if I'm right, I need to end this quickly.'
Pushing past his limits, Tokoyami increased his attack and was starting to catch his opponent off guard, not allowing him to retaliate. Once he got the villain off-balance, it was time to finish this.
"Piercing Twilight Claws!"
Dark Shadow's claws shot out to capture the villain, but the villain was able to move just enough to avoid serious damage…but not enough to avoid getting his hood shredded to pieces.
With the hood now gone, Tokoyami grimaced in disappointment as he got a good look at his opponent and things would just get worse from here.
"I-Izuku?"
The others had finally arrived and were shocked at what they were seeing, none more so than the shy rocker of the class.
Kyouka wasn't sure what to expect when she and the others arrived on the scene, but seeing Tokoyami stare down Izuku of all people was not high on that list. And why was her Izuku wearing black robes similar to those villains from a few days ago?
Getting a good look at her boyfriend, Kyouka immediately noticed that something was clearly wrong. Izuku's eyes, usually full of life and passion, were now dull and glassy and when as he stared at Tokoyami it was as if he wasn't actually seeing what was before him.
"Dude, what the hell…?" questioned Kaminari, trying to comprehend this.
"Deku-kun!" called out Ochaco, worried about her favorite person in the world.
Kyouka stepped forward, making her way over to Izuku. When she stood next to Tokoyami, she tried to speak to the greenie.
"Izuku-kun, it's me. Kyouka. Please tell me you can hear me. Izuku-kun, say something!"
But her words unfortunately fell on deaf ears as Izuku jumped back and used various objects like light posts and telephone poles to reach higher ground to escape.
"Izuku! Izuku, come back!" cried out Kyouka as she attempted to go after the boy, only to be held back by Tokoyami. "Let me go, Tokoyami! I need to help Izuku!"
"Jirou! Nothing you do right now will be able to help Midoriya!"
"B-But…"
"Midoriya is not suited for the darkness. We will bring him back to the light where he belongs. I promise you this."
Knowing that there truly wasn't anything she could do at the moment hurt Kyouka more than anything she's faced so far since entering UA. Tears fell from her amethyst eyes at not being able to help the boy who would always go out of his way to help others, no matter who they were.
'I'm so sorry, Izuku-kun.'
