he was frantic, yet unfeeling. he just couldn't feel the pain. but he needed the pain. it kept him sane. frustrated, he pulled out his lightsaber.

Anakin barely felt it. he sat there, with his ligbtsaber burning his skin, and he barely felt a thing. it only stung a little... and yet, it didn't help him forget. he needed to forget. Almost to the point of panic, he grabbed one of the all-too familiar blades.

he cut and cut and cut and cut untill finally- finally the screaming- the blinding agony of emotional turmoil slowed, then stopped. he looked down, feeling dizzy. he'd lost a ton of blood. He put pressure on the cuts (It still didn't hurt as much as it should) and waited for them to stop bleeding. eventually, the blood flow slowed, and stopped. He pulled the robes over the cuts, trying not to think about just how many there were, and how Obi Wan might react when he came back.

to Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan had died by the hands of Hardeen.

vaguely, Anakin realized he'd been in the bathroom for a long time. he poked his head out and suddenly he was looking into Ahsoka's furious eyes. "You know, this ship only has one bathroom, and I've been waiting for at least thirty minutes."

"Sorry." Anakin said softly. he couldn't find the strength in himself to come up with a snappy reply.

Ahsoka crossed her arms. "You worried me." She said, still obiously angry.

"You're not the only one." Anakin whispered, suddenly wishing he could dissappear.

"Is something wrong."

Anakin sighed. "I need to tell you something... Obi Wan is alive... disguised as Hardeen."

"HE HURT YOU!" Ahsoka screamed, furious.

Anakin winced. he probably had a concussion from when Obi Wan slammed his head into rocks. "I know. We are to go protect the Chancellor at the festival of light."

"But- he hurt you. he's- he- i-" Ahsoka threw up her hands and walked into the bathroom, slamming the door.

Anakin felt... numb. His head didn't hurt enough as it should've, and he was incredibly dizzy from blood loss. He felt tired, but closing his eyes brought back memories and images he didn't want to ever see again.

Protecting the chancellor would be simple... well, it would've been simple. If Anakin wasn't able to feel his signature, even though he knew he was somewhere in the area.

then chaos broke loose. and up there, Anakin saw him.

Hardeen.

Trembling, Anakin dug the fingers of his mechanical arm into his flesh right above the cuts. itd leave a bruise, but kept him focused. And the Hardeen was looking at him. Shock made up his features, which was replaced by calm as he dashed away.

Anakin was escorting the chancellor to the banquet. only to find dooku. In all honesty, Anakin let Dooku electrocute him. he welcomed the pain. the pain snapped him back to reality. Well, untill Obi W- Hardeen showed up. with hardeen so close, he was suprised he hadn't lost it yet... though, he supposed the sting from the eletricution probably had something to do with it.

He got up as Obi- Hardeen Approached.

"Are you alright?" Hardeen rasped. Anakin gritted his teeth, and stiffly nodded. "You better go to the Halls anyways." Anakin narrowed his eyes, and walked away, digging his fingers into the same spot as earlier.

It was going to be a rough next few weeks, with hardeen in the temple.
