Everyone was finally back in the safety of treehouse, happily chatting again about everything that had happened. Molly, Carmen and Teri were talking together in one group, Anais, Penny and Carrie in another.

Masami however was sat alone quietly, shaken up by her near death experience and was now reflecting upon everything that had happened, what Jamie had said and how she had been acting.

She looked over at Anais and began to fill with immense guilt as she thought about how cruelly she'd been treating her,

She'd just gone to look for Jamie in The Forest of Doom, during a storm, without hesitation, and successfully took charge and guided them all through, even though she herself was terrified. All in order to help her friend..

Meanwhile she had been mocking and insulting her and moaning the whole time.

She hesitated, her face falling as she began to realize just how much of a jerk she had been to Anais. Not just today, but ever since she'd met her that day at Elmore Junior High...

She saw Anais laughing with Penny and Carrie and sighed, She had to make this right.

She sheepishly floated over to her "Hey, uh... Anais...?"

"What?" She replied, not even bothering to look over at her.

"I'm uh...I'm really sorry about how I've been treating you. I thought you were a just a dumb toddler acting like a big snooty know it all, but, after day I've realized you're...actually pretty cool." She admitted.

Anais looked over, shocked at what she was hearing.

"You taking charge and guiding us all through the forest during a storm in order to rescue Jamie, despite you being terrified it...it was amazing. You showed real courage and determination for Jamie, and it's only thanks to your quick thinking that we're all alive, and...I'm really sorry I've been so mean you..."

Anais smiled weakly as Masami continued with a sniff, and to Anais' shock, she looked down and actually began to tear up as their guilt weighed down on her, "I'm so, so sorry I humiliated you as badly as I did on your first day at school. I was a complete and utter jerk, and I went way too far. I didn't think about how scared you must have been...a 3 year old, amongst a bunch of kids way older than her, none of whom you knew...you must have been terrified out of your mind, and there I am mocking you, insulting you, making you feel way worse on a day that was already difficult enough for you."

Masami began to cry softly as she thought back to that day and what she did to her, and as Anais watched her ears began to lower. As Masami continued to speak her voice began to break.

"You didn't deserve to be humiliated and made fun of like you were. I can't believe I was such a jerk..." She sniffed then smiled weakly. "You're lucky you had Gumball and Darwin there to look after you, and...they're lucky to have you too. I mean, I have to admit, that whole show you put on afterwards...you really are something special..." She chuckled lightly.

Masami sniffed again and she looked down as she began to cry even harder.

Anais watched, feeling both smug but also a little upset at seeing Masami crying over what she did to her. She debated in her mind what to do.

As Masami continued to cry she suddenly felt something pressing against her and looked up confused to see Anais hugging her and smiling.

"Thank you...thank you so much! I can tell how genuine that apology was, and that you really meant it, and it really means a lot to finally hear you apologize."

"So...*sniff* do you forgive me?" She asked hopefully.

"Hmm..." She pretended to think. "100 bucks and I'll consider it."

Masami looked at her annoyed. "WHAT?!"

She began to grin, and covered her mouth as she broke into a fit of giggles. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, of course I do!"

Masami smiled and hugged Anais back and everyone else smiled and let out an 'Awwww' as Anais and Masami finally resolved their feud.

They released each other and Anais sat back down smiling.

Molly cleared her throat and spoke up. "So, Anais, there's uh... actually something I want to ask you too."

"Oh? What's that?"

"Well, we talked about it on the way back, and you don't have to if you don't want to but...would you, perhaps, like to join our group and hang out with us more often?" She twisted her foot shyly.

Anais gasped in delight and her eyes widened as a wide grin formed, her face lighting up with excitement.

"Are you kidding?! Of course I do!"

"That's great! This is gonna be so fun!"

"Wait, so...d-does this mean...does that mean I'm friends with you all now?!" She asked excitedly.

Molly nodded. "Of course you are! We'd love to be friends with you!"

She let out a squeal of delight as fireworks went off around her head and angelic music played.

She ran over and hugged Molly, crying softly. "Ah thank you, thank you, thank you!"

She chuckled. "You're welcome!"

Jamie looked down and rubbed her arm as she remained quiet.

Molly turned to her and smiled. "The offer goes for you too Jamie."

She looked up with a gasp. "Really!? You mean it!?"

Teri smiled and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Of course! We're really sorry for not giving you a chance earlier. I guess it really is possible for anyone to change!"

Masami looked down. "Yeah, you saved my life, and almost died doing so and I uh...I'm really grateful for that. I really owe you one."

"Nah, it was nothing. I wasn't just gonna let the tree fall on you, was I?"

"Your ankle was already hurt and you could have gotten killed if it had gone wrong, it was very brave and selfless of you to do." Carmen responded.

Molly smiled.. "Absolutely, and the least we can do to thank you is to invite you to the group too. It seems only fair."

Jamie smiled. "Thank you so much that...that really means a lot."

"You're welcome! It'll be fun to have new members!"

The storm finally ended and in it's place it began to snow as the sun began to set. Molly smiled. "Hey, the storms finally over! and it's snowing! We can finally go home! Well, you can, I'm already home."

Jamie turned to Anais, smiling weakly. "Right, you've had a long day. I need to get you home soon or Gumball and Darwin are gonna get really worried."

"Aww, but I wanna stay!" She complained.

"We can come back again this week and play in the snow, alright?"

"Okay...thanks, guys, see you soon!" She waved.

"Bye Anais, Bye Jamie See you soon!" They all waved back as they climbed down the ladder.

They began the walk back to the Watterson's house, Anais almost jumping up and down on the spot as she was so excited.

She'd finally ended her feud with Masami and became friends with her and also made a bunch of other new friends too, and she can't wait to hang out with them!

Just wait until she tells Gumball and Darwin, they're gonna be so proud!

She skipped home humming happily and holding Jamie's hand, both happy to finally be more accepted, and part of a big friend group, excited for whatever further adventures they make get up to.

The End
