Hey everyone, this story probably isn't the best written story that you've read. It's the first one I've written (well, at least that I've shown people) so there will be mistakes. If you do find any, please let me know. My dream is to publish my own book series in the future, so any advice you have to improve my writing is greatly appreciated!

This story is inspired by a Tik Tok I saw by @milochite. I loved the idea and after searching for a fanfic and coming up empty handed, I decided to write my own.

Anyways, enough of my talking. You probably don't care about any of that and just want to get to the story. Without further ado, I present Percy Jackson: The Student Finally Outsmarts the Teacher

--

Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.

If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.

If you're a normal kid, reading this because you think it's fiction, great. Read on. I envy you for being able to believe that none of this ever happened. But if you recognize yourself in these pages—if you feel something stirring inside—-stop reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that it's only a matter of time before they sense it too, and they'll come for you.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

My name is Percy Jackson.

I'm 18 years old. Until a few months ago, I've always had bad experiences with school.

Am I a troubled kid?

Yeah. You could say that.

Things happened to me that I had no explanation for (well, at least back then). These things ranged from a bus exploding to my math teacher attacking me. This results in me being kicked out of many schools. But after the events with the new prophecy, I finally found a college I can go to without causing trouble (hopefully, can't be too careful). This college is a school for half-bloods and is located in Camp Jupiter. And best of all, I get to go with my girlfriend, Annabeth.

Classes have been going on now for a few months, and it's thankfully been uneventful. I mean, I never liked school, but I'm glad that I haven't been getting into trouble. Classes have been easier now that I'm in a school that teaches in a way I can understand. Surprisingly, I've been doing good with my grades (probably due to Annabeth helping me study, without her I most likely would fail).

Right now, I'm about halfway through my classes of the day. I'm sitting in class, trying my hardest to pay attention, but all I could think about was the date I have planned with Annabeth later. I decided to take her on a picnic after school. But unfortunately, my thoughts were interrupted when I heard my teacher, Mr. Capito.

"Ok class, today we'll be starting a new topic" he said in a boring tone. "Let's talk about the Battle of Manhattan, which took place in 2009."

My head shot up so fast that I felt pain in my head and neck for a split second. Annabeth noticed my discomfort and gave me a slight glance, but her attention immediately went back to the teacher, also shocked by what he said. My mind started zooming with thoughts, going 100 mph. But one thought was clear, I was going to ace these assignments.

"I have reports written about the battle that I'm going to pass out to all of you. I want everyone to write a 1500-word report about the events and how you think the demi-gods were able to win." Mr. Capito said while walking to his desk and grabbing a stack of papers.

I heard a few students groan at having to write a report. I probably would have done the same, if it weren't for the fact that I was there during the battle and witnessed everything that had happened. If it weren't for Annabeth and me, the Gods would have been doomed. I knew that this was going to be easy for us. Well, at least Annabeth, as she made all the battle plans. But I'm sure I won't have much problem either.

When the teacher came to my desk and dropped off the reports, I immediately got to work, wanting to get this over with. Even though this assignment won't be too hard for me, I don't exactly want to read the events of the battle. Just being there and witnessing it was bad enough. The camp really should have gotten everyone therapists after the battle, especially for the younger campers. But after a few minutes of just reading the reports, I was feeling so many emotions, mainly disappointment and anger. After glancing at Annabeth, I could tell she was feeling something similar to what I was. These reports, if I could even call them that, were not accurate at all. It's like they came straight from Wikipedia. After reading another paragraph, I had enough, and raised my hand. Mr. Capito nodded at me, giving me permission to ask my question.

"Where did you get these reports?" I asked, anger slowly leaking into my voice. Not enough for my teacher and classmates to notice, but enough for Annabeth to. She looked like she was about to say something also.

Mr. Capito looked confused and asked "What do you mean? These reports came from the Gods themselves."

"Oh really, then which god gave you these? My guess would be Ares, based on the information in these reports, which for your information, is completely wrong." I stated, glaring at the teacher. Mr. Capito gave me a look telling me that I should shut my mouth, and obviously I didn't listen.

"Excuse me, but what do you mean young man? First, you shouldn't disrespect the Gods, especially Ares. We're lucky that he gave us the information on what happened at the battle and how Kronos was defeated. Tell me exactly what is wrong with the reports." he said, his voice sounding like he's been accused of murder.

I smirked, knowing this was my chance to finally outsmart a teacher, and tell them how wrong they are. The past me would never believe that I was given this chance.

"Well, for starters, Zeus and Ares didn't single handedly fight and defeat Typhon by themselves. I mean, Ares couldn't even beat a 12-year-old demi-god who barely had any training. There is no way that both of them would have been able to defeat Typhon. Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Hermes, Dionysus, and Hephaestus all had to help them. But even then, they weren't able to overpower Typhon. They were only able to win because I was able to convince Poseidon to join in on the fight. Which, by the way, I had to go up to Olympus and sit on his throne to be able to even speak to him. I was almost blasted into a puddle of seawater if it weren't for the fact that he looked to see who it was first. But that's not the point. And then-"

Before I was even done, Mr. Capito rudely interrupted me. "I'm sorry, but are you trying to say that Poseidon played a key role in the battle? What do you think I am, stupid?"

I wanted to say yes, but one look from Annabeth kept me from saying it. Instead, I told him, "Yes, Poseidon did play a key role in the battle. But I wasn't even finished before you interrupted me. One of these reports says that the children of Ares were the ones to create the battle plans. That is 100% false. The Athena cabin were the ones who came up with the battle plans. When the battle first started, the Ares cabin chose not to fight and stayed at the camp just because the Apollo cabin received a chariot they thought they should have. Silena had to go back to camp on the second day to try to convince Clarisse to join the battle. But after that didn't work, Silena disguised herself as Clarisse and tricked the Ares cabin to join in the war."

Mr. Capito looked like he was about to explode from anger. His face was as red as a tomato. He raised his voice to the point that he was yelling, and said, "There is no way that all of what you said was true. You're just making this up. What's next? Are you going to say that Kronos was killed by a mortal?"

In response, I started raising my voice also to the point that my anger was starting to show. "Actually, about that. Everything that these reports say about the defeat of Kronos is completely wrong. First, Kronos didn't resurrect in his Titan body. He instead manipulated and possessed a demigod. And secondly, he wasn't defeated by the daughter of Zeus. Yes, the prophecy did mention a child of the big three turning 16 before the battle, but the prophecy didn't mean Zeus. Zeus did have a daughter, but she joined the hunters the day before her 16th birthday. So instead, the prophecy was talking about another child of the big three. In fact, it was the son of Poseidon. The battle was on his 16th birthday. Lastly, it wasn't even the son of Poseidon who was the hero in the end. The real hero was Luke Castellan, son of Hermes, who was the demigod that was possessed by Kronos. During the final moments, the son of Poseidon held a knife, about to strike down Kronos. But Luke, who came back for a moment, told him to give him the knife. The child of Poseidon gave the knife to Luke, who stabbed himself, killing Kronos. Luke was the true hero in the prophecy."

Mr. Capito, at this point, looked like he was about to commit murder himself. While glaring at Percy, he all but yelled, "Young man, stop telling these lies. None of this happened. There's no way a child of Poseidon was the child in the prophecy. If this was all true, where is your source?"

Immediately, I smirked at that. This was my moment. "Well, sir. I am my source. Let me introduce myself to the class. My name is Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. I led the Battle of Manhattan and gave Luke the knife which caused Kronos's defeat." After my introduction, everyone in the class gasped, looking shocked. Mr. Capito had his mouth open in surprise, but then immediately closed it.

"Just another lie, I'm sure," he accused.

I fired back by saying, "Check the attendance. I'm sure it says who our godly parents are."

Mr. Capito agreed, and walked over to his desk, grabbing the sheet which had all the students' names and godly parents. After looking at it for a moment, his face quickly paled. But just as quickly, his face returned to its normal color. He placed the paper down and walked back to the front of the class. He looked straight at me, and in a calm voice, said "Well, Mr. Jackson. It seems that you weren't lying about who your father is. If you truly believe that the battle went how you said, then I want to see a 3000-word report on everything at the battle on my desk next week."

Knowing I won the argument, I agreed. Writing the report would show him what really happened. But after I sat down, and when Mr. Capito started to lecture the class again, it hit me that I now had to write a report on top of all my other homework.. I groaned, realizing that it meant I had to cancel Annabeth and I's date.

Giving me a knowing look, Annabeth patted my back and said, "Don't worry, Seaweed brain, I can help you with the report. We can have a study date."

This made me smile. I didn't really care what we did for our date, just as long as I'm able to spend it with Annabeth.
