"I'm gonna destroy you!" Gumball called out, full of determination as he spammed buttons on his controller as fast as he could.

"Not if I destroy you first!" Darwin responded, looming equally as determined.

The two were in the middle of a gaming tournament they had devised together. They would play each one of their games and whoever won the least would be subject to a punishment of the winner's choice.

Needless to say, the two of them were very intent on winning.

"Almost there, just a few more hits!"

Just as Darwin was about to get the last hit his controller died, leaving him open to a KO from Gumball.

"Yes, I win! Prepare to be punished!" Gumball cheered.

"That doesn't count!"

"What? It totally counts!"

"My controller died though!" He complained.

"Doesn't matter, it still counts." Gumball insisted.

"But that isn't fair!"

He shrugged. "Life's not fair dude, not my fault."

Darwin scoffed and looked away.

"Hey, don't be a sore loser! It's not my fault you suck so bad!"

"I do not suck, you just got lucky!" He turned back around.

"Aww, is someone mad they lost?" Gumball teased.

Darwin crossed his arms looking really annoyed.

Gumball looked at him and began to hold back his laughter as a grin began to form on his face and he playfully punched him. "Awww, dude, I'm just winding you up! Of course it doesn't count, I'm not that much of a jerk!"

Darwin rolled his eyes and smiled weakly. "I really hate you sometimes..."

"And I hate you too." Gumball teased with a giggle.

Darwin sighed. "So what do we do now? We can't finish the competition if my controller is dead."

"I think we have spare batteries up in the dresser in our room."

"Oh really? That was a much simpler answer than I expected..."

"Really? What were you expecting?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I dunno, you suggesting we do something crazy to settle the score like a bunch of real-life challenges or something." He shrugged.

"Pfft, screw that, I'm way too lazy! Besides, not everything we do has to be over the top and elaborate."

"Fair point." He chuckled. "In that case, you're going down for real this time, just as soon as I'm back up and running!" He said as he got up to go and get the batteries.

"We'll see about that!" Gumball called out.

Darwin rolled his eyes as he went upstairs to get the batteries.

"Ah, there they are!" He exclaimed as he finally found the batteries at the very back of the drawer.

"That took longer than it should have..."

He closed the drawer and walked out of the room, eager to get back to his and Gumball's tournament.

As he went to walk downstairs he heard voices coming from Anais' room.

"It is weird that I still watch this show?"Anais' muffled voice was heard asking someone.

"Nah, of course not! You're only 4, it's totally normal. Besides, I'm 327 years old and I still like it! If you like watching it, then I see no problem with it."

He stopped. Carrie? I didn't know she was here...

He thought to himself. I didn't invite her over and I don't think Gumball did...

He was tempted to investigate further but hesitated as he was unsure if he should. Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him and he walked over.

He slowly opened the door and peeked inside, and couldn't help but grin at the adorable sight in front of him.

There were Anais and Carrie, sat (or in Carrie's case floating) together on her bed, Anais resting against Carrie as she had her arm around her, the two watching Daisy the Donkey together on the laptop, and genuinely enjoying it.

He tried to stop himself from letting out a giggle, but he just couldn't help himself.

This caught the two's attention and they both looked over.

"Darwin?!" Carrie called out horrified.

He grinned. "I didn't know you watched Daisy Suppose it makes sense considering you liked A Pony's Tale..."

Her face turned a deep red. "What?! No, I don't! I was just... watching it to keep your sister happy!"

"Oh really?" He raised his eyebrow. "You certainly seem to be enjoying it." He nodded toward Anais, who was still resting against her.

She blushed even harder and quickly let go. "No! I was ...uh... making sure she was...okay?"

"You sound pretty unsure of that..." He crossed his arms.

"It's true! I'm bored out of my mind watching this...drivel!

He smiled and let out a light chuckle. "It's okay, I won't tell anyone."

"You won't?" She asked, the relief audible in her voice.

"Of course not. It'll be your little secret."

She sighed in relief. "Oh, thank God...I'd never be able to live it down if anyone found out."

"Hey, like you said, if you like watching it there's no problem with doing so."

She smiled and floated over to him. "Thanks, Dar, you're the best." She kissed him.

"I try my best!" He chuckled before sighing happily. "Anyway, I have a game to win so you have fun being 'bored out of your mind'!" He giggled.

She rolled her eyes as she began to smile. "I will. Love you Dar."

"Love you too!" He called out as he left, chuckling to himself as he left the room.
