So this is first chapter that officially gets the time in UA underway I hope many of you have look forward to this and will enjoy!

Chapter Four
Izumi and Katsuki watched as they passed the gates of UA with Masaru with Mitsuki and Inko also looking out.
Mitsuki gave a whistle. "This place gets more impressive every year." She commented as they continued to drive past the main gates heading off towards nearby dorm buildings.
UA like most of the Academies offered dorm housing for their students as a means of earning some independence towards the future. Izumi and Katsuki both signed up when they could, but for their own reasons.
Katsuki mainly wanted to get away from his mother and focus on reaching his goals. He did have to swear to keep up the tradition of Sunday dinners with the Midoriya family, but his mother agreed to let him go and signed the paperwork.
As for Izumi, she was mainly looking to spread her wings a bit. Nothing against her mother but she could be…clingy at times. Izumi felt she needed to grow a little on her own if she was going to make it in the professional leagues.
Inko had been reluctant to sign the paperwork, but realized her daughter was right. Of course the revelation had come with quite the flood of tears. Soon the group pulled up to a large building that looked to be five to six floors tall and looked quite clean.
"Here we are. Alliance Heights for Class 1-A." Masaru said as he pulled over the moving van they had hired to carry both Izumi and Katsuki's personal effects stopping behind him.
"Wow. They've upgraded since our time Inko." Mitsuki commented as they got out of the family style vehicle.
"We tend to overhaul the buildings every five years or so." A new voice said, making the group blink before they turned to see a pair of teens walking up.
The boy was tall and muscular with blond hair and a kind smile on his face, but Izumi couldn't help but think he had the expression of Tin-Tin. "Who's the Tin-Tin looking guy?" Katsuki asked, causing the female teen to chuckle.
She was slightly shorter than the tall blond. Her hair was down showing off its light blue shade with pale skin and a pair of green eyes. "That's a good one!" She laughed as the boy sighed.
"Every year. I swear I've got to sit down and read those comics." He commented not losing his smile. "To answer your questions I'm Mirio Togata the male RA of the dorms." The now named Mirio explained while the girl beside him nodded.
"And I'm Nejire Hado. I'm the female RA for the dorms. Who are the two of you?" She asked, holding up a clipboard. Izumi smiled kindly in greeting.
"Hello. I'm Izumi Midoriya. This is my brother in all but blood Katsuki Bakugo." She motioned towards Katsuki who just nodded once.
"Ah here we are!" Nejire said as she checked the two names down.
"So as your Resident Assistants we are here to guide you in your new living experiences as well as provide answers for any questions that may come up." She added after a minute and handed over two key cards with names clearly printed on them.
"These will unlock your rooms; they are the only copies you will be issued for free. Replacements will come out of your pocket if for some reason your card does not work you may come to us or your homeroom teacher to unlock your door." She said before Mirio nodded.
"So how do these dorms work? I know they are technically co-ed but…" Inko started to ask before stopping.
"The floors are each separated by gender." Mirio pointed up to the floors.
"The second, third, fourth, and fifth floors are for students while the RA's and homeroom teacher is located on the sixth. The right side of the building holds the male dorms and communal bathrooms. While the dorms and bathrooms for the females are on the left side of the building." He explained making Inko sigh in relief.
She may agree to let her daughter move into the dorms but that didn't stop her from worrying about her health and safety.
"Are there any rules we should know about right off the bat?" Katsuki asked, making the taller RA nod.
"First and foremost after curfew no students of the opposite gender are allowed on the other side. So no nighttime rendezvous even if they are purely platonic." He addressed making the pair nod.
"Second, all Pokémon must always be accompanied by their trainer unless inside specifically designed areas. This is to cut down on possible unsanctioned fights and ingrained rivalries." Izumi and Katsuki nodded since there are certain species of Pokémon that battled one another constantly like Seviper and Zangoose.
"Finally UA will provide a budget for food and supplies for both students and Pokémon, but it is on you guys to go and gather it from the stores yourselves." He explained.
"Makes sense, otherwise what's the point of gaining independence?" Katsuki commented getting a nod from the taller teen.
"Any other rules will be talked about during tonight's meet and greet." Nejire added before handing the pair of them schedules. "This morning is focused on you guys finding your rooms and unpacking. Around lunch we will guide you on a tour around the campus before taking the meal in the cafeteria." She explained as the pair looked at the times on the sheet.
"Once that is done you have the option of joining the others for different tours and lectures based on which fields you are planning to pursue while a student here."
Izumi noticed that beside the block time for guided tours there were different blocks each labeled with information based on the paths.
Health and nutrition, Trainer battle guide, coordinator preparation, showcase showroom, and others all with different timed blocks so you could visit them all before five o'clock.
By then they were expected to be back in the dorms to take part in a welcome dinner and meeting with both classes of Pokémon students along with their homeroom teachers and RA students.
There they would not only meet one another, but also hear about specific rules and given guidebooks for them to read.
"Tomorrow you will have time to roam around and see what different types of clubs and programs we offer. Personally I hope you two will join one of our battle clubs." Mirio commented, making Katsuki and Izumi look at him in interest.
"Battle clubs?" Katsuki asked, making Mirio nod.
"There are six different groups with members who train together, battle against one another, and even trade Pokémon together to increase battle experience and power. I am the leader of the Dragonite Battle Club. Every year all the clubs gather to face off against one another twice a year. Dragonite has an open-door policy but a few of the others hold auditions to join the club."
"What are the other clubs?" Izumi asked.
"Each of them is named after Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon. Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp, and Goodra." He explained to the pair.
"However if that's not your thing you can always join my coordinators club." Nejire commented, making Izumi pay attention.
"Coordinators club?" She asked, getting a rapid nod from the bubbly teenager.
"Yep. Like the battle clubs there are six coordinator clubs two of which also are for Showcase performers. Like the battle clubs we have two competitions every year to earn a special prize. Whether that is an item, egg, or even an offer to intern with a professional." Nejire explained, making Izumi nod.
"Is there any rule stating we can't be in both a battle club and a coordinators club?" She asked getting a smile from Nejire.
"Nope. If you keep your grades up you are eligible to participate…which is why the clubs sometimes double as study clubs." Nejire explained making Izumi smile and nod.
"Now let's get you inside. You two are part of the early bunch with only three others getting here so soon." Mirio said, motioning towards the dorm building.
Once inside they noticed a good living space with a kitchen connected nearby making Mitsuki whistle once more.
"This is the message board…" Mirio said motioning to the large quirk board hanging near the kitchen. "…as the year progresses each of you will be able put-up different messages. The different clubs will put-up messages stating try out times or such. Also for the first month you'll find this chart on here." He motioned to a chart with names on it.
"Find your names and you'll find your rooms." He explained making the pair nod as they approached and looked.
"How many are on each floor?" Masaru asked the RA who took a moment.
"Since there are seven girls to thirteen boys each floor has different numbers. On the second floor four boys were placed but no girls. Third has three boys and three girls. The final two have three boys and two girls." Mirio explained.
"How does that work?" Mitsuki asked making Mirio shrug.
"The room assignments were made by the homeroom teacher, and Aizawa-sensei doesn't always make his choices clear."
"Oh we have Aizawa-sensei as our homeroom teacher?" Izumi asked, making the pair of RA nod.
"He and Vlad King-sensei are the main teachers for Pokémon students since they have the most experience teaching."
"That makes sense. After all since both were Gym Leaders at one point they both trained a great number of interns in their gyms to help guide those who chose not to go to a Pokémon Academy or just hadn't been having much luck out in the world." Izumi said, making Mirio and Nejire blink and tilt their heads.
"What kind of gym did Vlad King run?" Masaru asked, genuinely curious.
"He is officially registered as a mixed type trainer, but he tends to focus more on fighting types and steel types due to his own personal style of battle. Plus he is known to take a more hands on approach to teaching since many of his past interns mention the constant physical training they underwent while being in his care." She explained to her uncle who nodded in understanding.
"So because he and the hobo already trained students before becoming teachers they know how to handle teenagers. Makes sense." Mitsuki commented with a shrug while Inko sighed.
"Must you call him a hobo?" Inko asked but before Mitsuki could answer a gruff voice spoke up.
"It's not the worst thing I've been compared to." The group turned to see the teacher in question walk into the dorms.
"Hello again Aizawa-sensei." Izumi said with a bow, getting a nod from the teacher as he took a drink out of a coffee cup.
"Midoriya…Bakugo. Welcome to Heights Alliance. I'll see you both tonight, but first…how are the newborns?" His question caused the RA students to tilt their heads in question while the pair smirked.
"Lively." Izumi said as both she and Katsuki popped open a single Pokéball.
Soon Allura and Daenerys were revealed to the teacher. Daenerys moved up her trainer's leg and laid across his shoulders while Allura walked over and was lifted into Izumi's arms. Aizawa looked at the pair before setting his coffee cup down.
He motioned the pair over towards a scale that doubled as a height ruler. He picked up a notebook that was nearby. "Let's see how well the two of you did with our little challenge." He commented, making the pair nod as Katsuki walked up first.
First Aizawa measured her length before motioning to set her down on the scale. "1.0 m long…about 2.3 kg in weight…good. Optimal height and weight for age." He commented, making Katsuki nod once.
"Good healthy coat." Aizawa commented as he wrote in the book before taking out a pen light and gently shining it in Daenerys' eyes. "Good pupil reaction." He then gently lifted her jaw to see inside and noticed the bright shiny teeth inside.
"And good dental health. Very good. Nickname?" He asked Katsuki.
"Daenerys or Dany for short."
Aizawa nodded. "All in all, a very healthy Pokémon. I just need to see an attack against a target outside, and we'll be done." He said, making Katsuki nod before Izumi walked up with Allura.
".7 m tall…18.3 kg. Optimal for the age." He then ran the same test with the change of having Allura punch his palm.
"Iron vitamins have been clearly added for better health. Good." He stated before checking on Allura's dental health as well.
"And clear signs of gentle dental care. Good. Good job the both of you." He stated making the pair smile.
"Thank you sir." They said together.
"Follow me and we'll finish the evaluation." He stated motioning for the pair to follow behind him.
Once outside once more the pair stood near a small target field. "In the time you've had to prepare your youngest partners should have learned at least four moves. You will demonstrate these abilities to me now. Midoriya you first." He said, making Izumi nod as she and Allura walked up.
"Ready girl?" She asked getting a determined nod from Allura.
"Okay. Metal Claw!" Izumi called, pointing towards a target, making Allura rush forward, her paw turning a metallic color as it smashed one of the targets apart.
Aizawa nodded as he jotted down in his notes. "Work up!" Allura stood still as an orange aura gathered around her body. "Quick Attack!" Allura seemed to blur before she struck another target. "Finally Bite!" Allura nodded as her fangs turned a dark violet as she bit down on a human-like target with a cloth like armor on one of the arms.
"Good." Aizawa said as Allura stopped her attack.
"Four good moves two of which they don't learn naturally meaning you worked to help her unlock her egg move as well as learn something needed. Well done." He commented making Izumi bow before she moved aside to let Katsuki take his turn.
"Begin." Aizawa called making Katsuki nod.
"Let's do it girl! Thunder Wave!" Daenerys gathered electricity around her before it flew from her body in yellow circles that hit one of the more human-like targets. "Wrap!" This time she charged and circled around the same target tightly showing it closing in on itself. "Aqua Jet!" He called making Daenerys fly away before charging forward her body engulfed in water as it struck and destroyed a round target. "Finally Water Pulse!" This time Daenerys sent out a ring of blue energy against a round target destroying it.
"Good work." Katsuki said as he took out a strip of beef jerky and fed it to Daenerys who chewed with a bright smile on her face showing she clearly liked the treat.
Aizawa looked to see Allura munching on a poffen treat showing both trainers rewarded their partners. "Good job. I honestly wasn't expecting you to teach your Dratini water type moves, but it was nicely done."
"Thank you sir." Katsuki said as he rubbed Daenerys atop of the head getting pleased purrs from the Dragon type.
"Safe to say you two passed your summer assignments with flying colors. Well done." Aizawa said, making the two teens bow to him as he closed his notebook.
"You two along with Kirishima are the only ones to arrive that took part in our challenge and all three of you have passed. Let's hope the other five do just as well." He said before motioning to Mirio and Nejire.
"I'll let the RAs continue their duties. If you wish to mingle until the start of the tours be my guest." He said clearly dismissing the pair as they turned to walk back into the building.
"Wow…you guys kicked butt!" Nejire commented as they all walked back inside.
"Damn right they did! There's no way either of them would allow anyone to show them up!" Mitsuki proclaimed as she laughed.
"Pipe down hag! No one needs to hear you gloat!" Katsuki yelled only to get a smack to the back of the head.
"HUH YOU ARE CHALLENGING ME BRAT?!"
"DAMN RIGHT I AM HAG!" The pair were once more pressed against one another sparks flying between their eyes causing Izumi, Inko, and Masaru to sigh.
"Now I wish I'd brought Mimmie with me." Inko whispered, making her daughter snort slightly with laughter.
However before the pair could continue they suddenly found themselves hit by a ring of blue energy causing them both to become soaked. The pair blinked before they looked to see Daenerys floating there giggling at the pair.
"YOU BRAT!" The pair yelled as they began to chase the still giggling Dragon type around the room. Izumi sighed before she looked towards Nejire.
"Care to lead me to the third floor?" She asked, getting a nod as the bubbly RA led the mother daughter pair towards the elevator. "I never thought I'd see a prankster Dragon type." Nejire commented as the doors opened on the third floor as they stepped out.
"Dany seems to believe that family shouldn't fight like that. So when Kaachan and Auntie start to argue she cools them off." Izumi explained to the senior student who nodded.
As they walked Izumi paused as she saw a familiar head of red spiky hair. "Oh hello Kirishima-san." She said with a smile making the bandana wearing teen pause.
"Oh hey. The scary smart girl…Midoriya right?" He asked, making her nod.
"Yep. Are you the only other on the floor so far?" She asked making him shake his head.
"I saw a tired looking purple haired guy earlier but he didn't stop to talk. However Mina is already in her room decorating." He commented motioning towards the girl's side.
"Mina?" Izumi asked, making him blink.
"Oops you haven't met her yet. Come on, I'll introduce you." He said with a wide smile showing off his sharp looking teeth.
"So is Riolu the egg Pokémon you raised?" He asked as they walked.
"Yep. Her name is Allura." She said, making the red head nod.
"Fitting. I call mine Chomper." He said as he reached for his belt and opened a blue topped Pokéball. The light dimmed eventually revealing a blue crocodile like Pokémon with red spikes down its spine.
"Oh wow a Totodile!" Izumi called out in joy as a notebook appeared in her hand as she began her sketching.
"Where did that come from?" He asked Inko and Nejire who both shrugged.
"This is the second starter from Johto I've encountered." She commented as she continued to draw the happy looking Water type.
"The second?" Kirishima asked. "Oh right! The serious looking guy!" He commented after remembering seeing Blaze with Katsuki back when they received their eggs.
"His name is Katsuki, but you should probably wait to ask him if you can use his first name." Izumi told him making Kirishima nod. Kirishima walked towards a room where a strong smell seemed to permeate the air.
"Woof…what is that?!" Izumi internally asked, afraid to sound rude.
"Hey Mina, I've brought one of your floor mates. Might want to give Perfume a rest there." Kirishima said not bothered by the smell.
He pushed open the only open door on the floor allowing Izumi, her mother, and Allura to see a brightly decorated room in pinks and purples with different Coordinator posters on the walls.
"Sorry!" A happy voice called drawing Izumi's attention towards the occupant in the room. A dark-skinned young woman with bright pink hair, wearing very comfy looking casual clothing, strangely a headband with a pair of alien-like yellow horns sticking out.
"I leave him out of his ball at home and didn't think anything of it!" She said loudly motioning towards the Gloom in her room.
"That explains Perfume." Izumi said, making Mina giggle as Kirishima nodded.
"Yeah. I'm Mina Ashido and this is my partner Perfume who I've taken care of since he was an Oddish back in Iwa." She said, offering her hand to the greenette.
"Izumi Midoriya and this is one of my partners, Allura." She introduced.
Mina gave a tiny squeal at the sight of Allura. "Oh she's so cute!" She called out as she walked up and suddenly snuggled the Riolu who squirmed slightly at the sudden attention.
Izumi sighed as she walked up and gently lifted Allura from Mina's arms. "Please don't do that. She's not very comfortable around strangers to let them hold her." She politely said making Mina blink with a small pout.
"Sorry…I tend to overreact when I see cute things. As my horn buddy here can tell you." Mina said, motioning towards Kirishima who nodded.
Izumi noticed something different about his bandana. It looked like there was a plate on the front that held small red horns on the top. "Oh before I forget this is my mother Inko." Izumi said with a blink as she remembered her mom standing nearby.
"Hello." Inko said, getting the pair to nod.
"Hiya Mama Midoriya." They said getting a giggle from Inko.
"So which room is yours?" Mina asked, making Izumi blink as she took out her key.
"Three-oh-two. Looks like I'm your next-door neighbor." Izumi said, making Mina smile.
"Well then I should go let the movers know where to bring your boxes." Inko said before walking off as Izumi nodded in understanding.
Izumi hummed slightly as she began to put up her posters, hanging her pride and joy. "Whoa! You have a poster signed by all the top pros!" Kirishima called out as he helped place a box in the room.
The red head hadn't been able to not help in some way. It went against his nature.
"Yep. I got it the day I earned the egg I hatched Sunny from." She said with a bright smile.
"Ah ha! So you were one of the ones that had a small advantage?!" He called out, making Izumi blink.
"Yeah…" She said scratching the back of her head. "I wonder who the other two are?" He questioned aloud while Mina walked in holding a folded-up comforter in her arms.
"Thanks for the help you two." Izumi said once she placed the blanket down since that was the last of her items.
"No problem. After all, we're roommates now." Mina said with a bright smile.
"Speaking of…I should go see if that serious guy needs any help." Kirishima said, getting the two girls to nod before he left.
Mina shook her head fondly as he left. "I love the boy like a brother, but he really needs to not be so obvious." She said making the pair chuckle. Izumi had noticed the Pansexual pin on Kirishima's bandana and had shown off her lesbian pin making the redhead chuckle as he side hugged her.
"He seems nice at least. Plus at least he didn't hit on me and ask if he could watch another girl and I get 'together'." Izumi said using air quotes around 'together' making Mina snort.
"Ugh some guys can just be straight pigs." She commented getting a laugh from Izumi. "So Kiri is Pan, and you're an out lesbian. Guess this might be the rainbow floor since I'm Bi." She said, making Izumi blink.
Mina chuckled as she pulled out her phone showing the pink, purple, and blue casing.
"I usually wear the pin on school uniforms or out in public. At home I just show my pride with this." She explained making Izumi chuckle.
"If Ochacho or Katsuki were on the floor too I'd agree with no issue. They're straight allies." She explained.
"That's the serious guy and the girl with the Togepi right?" Mina asked getting a nod from Izumi. "Nice to know you brought allies here." Mina commented before the pair heard the elevator chime.
They walked out to see a girl in punk rock clothing carrying a cardboard box in hand and a purple and black bat Pokémon hanging off her shoulder. "Looks like this is…" She started to say looking at a paper map before the box wobbled a bit.
"Whoops here!" Izumi called as she rushed up and grabbed the box holding it in place, getting a sigh.
"Thanks…hate to drop this stuff and break it before School even started." She said as the Noibat squeaked in agreement.
"No problem. I'm Izumi Midoriya by the way." Izumi said as she began to walk backwards toward the only empty room on the girl's side.
"Kyoka Jiro. This is Stereo." She introduced as the Dragon/Flying type raised a wing and waved.
"Nice to meet you." She said as Mina walked up.
"Here give me the key and I'll open the door. I'm Mina Ashido the third neighbor." She said getting the key from a thankful Jiro before walking to the door and opening it for them.
"Here we go." Izumi said as they set the box down.
"Thanks again." Kyoka said as she opened the box revealing a collection of vinyl records.
"Whoa…you must really like music." Izumi said impressed by the collection.
"Yeah. My parents are musicians and got me hooked on certain sounds." Kyoka explained with a blush.
"That's cool. My folks encouraged my dancing lessons when they saw how much I enjoyed it." Mina said, making Izumi and Kyoka nod.
"My mom always encouraged my love of Pokémon and even let me volunteer at the local center to learn more." Izumi shrugged while the pair of girls blinked.
"So you'd be the best to ask for help with first aid and nutrition?" Mina asked getting a nod from Izumi.
"Sure if you ever have questions I don't mind answering." She said. The girls continued their small talk until the reminder Mina had set to remind herself of the guided tour rang and they walked down together.
Once outside a voice called out to them, "Izumi!" Izumi looked and smiled as she saw Ochacho and Momo standing nearby waving to get her attention.
"Hey you two!" She called back before motioning towards Mina and Kyoka to join her. Standing beside her friends were two other girls she hadn't met most likely making them the final two female members of their class.
The first had a bit of a deadpan expression with large eyes. Her hair flowing behind her head was a darker shade of green than Izumi's and she kept her hands in front of her in a loose hanging motion. She wore a green and white dress with a cartoon looking frog near the bottom of the skirt.
The second girl had a bright look about her with mint colored hair and eyes. She wore a white sleeveless shirt with pink lines that ran vertically and a pair of blue jeans with a white belt.
"There you are, Izumi. We thought you were still unpacking since we didn't see you in the living area." Momo said, making Izumi giggle slightly as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Sorry. I lost track of time while helping Mina and Kyoka here decorate their rooms." She explained motioning to her floor mates.
"Mina Ashido, Kyoka Jiro meet my friends Ochacho Uraraka and Momo Yaoyorozu." Izumi introduced making the four girls shake hands before Ochacho spoke up.
"Izumi Midoriya, this is Tsuyu Asui. She's my neighbor on the fifth floor." The green haired girl.
"While Toru Hagakure here is my neighbor on the fourth." Momo said, motioning to the mint haired girl.
"Nice to meet you both." Izumi said before Momo distracted her by being her happy bouncy shelf when she was excited about something.
The other girls noticed the bright smiles the pair had for one another making Mina lean against Ochacho. "Are they dating?"
"No, but Katsuki and I are working on it." Ochacho explained motioning towards the ash blond who was looking at Kirishima as the redhead talked…and talked.
"Are you sure Momo is in to girls?" Kyoka asked. Like Izumi she was an out lesbian, but she knew that sometimes flirting can be confused for genuine friend-like affection.
"Considering Momo looks like she wants to jump Izumi's bones I don't think that's a problem." Tsuyu said in a matter-of-fact tone. The girls looked again and noticed the affectionate look in Momo's eyes as Izumi smiled while babbling about the possibilities their new school had to offer.
"Okay…yeah that's not friendship." Kyoka said, getting rapid nods from Ochacho.
"Why the delay thought?" Toru asked making Ochacho sigh.
"Momo comes from a well-off family and because of that she has become cautious of others since she doesn't always know if they want to genuinely want to be her friend or if they just want to use her." Ochacho explained making the girls hiss slightly at the knowledge.
"And Izumi-chan?" Tsuyu asked, making Ochacho flinch slightly.
"Um…" She didn't know how to answer that true Katsuki had filled her in on the whole story, but she didn't feel like it was her to tell.
"Let me guess…" Kyoka interrupted the thought process making Ochacho look towards her. "…someone in the past took advantage of her cinnamon roll like personality and really hurt her." Ochacho simply nodded. While it wasn't everything it was enough for the others as they all nodded.
"Man I can't believe Lunch Rush himself is the main cook!" Izumi geeked out as she chowed down on the rice and fish dish that had been prepared for them.
"I know this rice is great!" Ochacho called out as she dug in, eating her fill.
"Wow you are really a bit of a nerd aren't you Izumi-chan?" Toru asked with a chuckle, showing she didn't mean anything harmful with the question.
Izumi blushed as she nodded. "I've always admired Pokémon trainers, coordinators, and anyone who works with Pokémon in general." She explained making the other girls chuckle slightly.
"Hey I get it. I'd totally nerd out if I ever got the chance to meet Uwabami or any top coordinator." Toru added, making Izumi smile, relaxing slightly.
"Speaking of. What's everyone trying to get into? I'm looking to become a full coordinator while also working towards a dancing career." Mina piped up making the other girls think about their answers.
"Well I want to become the top coordinator and champion of the region." Izumi stated making the others blink. "So kind of like Ryukyu?" Mina asked, making Izumi nod.
"Exactly."
"Now that's reaching for the stars!" Mina said, making Izumi chuckle.
"I'm hoping to make it far enough to become a gym leader with a music career on the side." Kyoka said, getting nods from the others.
"I have always loved water types and hope to become a water type master like Wallace. I don't enjoy coordinating or participating in showcase events." Tsuyu explained making Ochacho smile as she placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Nothing wrong with that. After all, I mainly want to be a trainer but may sometimes take part in contests. My main goal is to help my parents earn a comfortable life." She explained getting nods of understanding.
"Well I plan to become top coordinator, so you've got competition Izumi!" Toru called out, making Izumi laugh.
"Challenge accepted!" She called back, getting the table to laugh.
"What about you Yaomomo?" Mina asked making Momo blink. "I prefer Showcase performances myself, which is my main focus, but I'm also going to be learning about business dealings so I can either take over for my father one day or start my own business one day." She explained making the girls nod as they began talking again.
"Looks like this is where the party is at!" A new voice called, making them all turn to see Setsuna Togake walking over with Itsuka Kendo, Ibara Shiozaki, and four other girls Izumi didn't know.
A girl with gray hair that looked kind of down, a blond with pale skin and bright blue eyes, a girl that had a slightly larger bob cut than Ochacho that covered her eyes, and an average looking girl with straight black hair.
"Hello again number one!" She said, making Izumi blink.
"Hello Togake-san. Kendo-san. Shiozaki-san." Izumi said, making the girls nod.
"Hello again Midoriya-san. Do you mind if we join you?" Kendo asked making Izumi look at the others.
"The more the merrier! I'm Mina Ashido. You must be the seven girls of class one-b?" She asked getting nods from the strangers.
"Yep. I'm Itsuka Kendo. This is Yui Kodai…" The girl with black hair. "…Kinoko Komori…" The bob cut girl. "…Ibara Shiozaki…" The green haired girl bowed slightly. "…Pony Tsunotori…" The blond-haired girl. "…Setsuna Tokage…" The moss green haired girl waves while smiling showing off her sharp looking teeth. "…and Reiko Yanagi." The gray-haired girl gave a very small wave.
The Class 1-A girls introduced themselves as the 1-B girls joined their table. "We were just talking about our goals before you walked up." Mina said, making the new group nod.
"Sounds like fun. I'm training to one day become a big name among Fighting types before I take over my fathers' dojo/Pokémon gym." Itsuka said with a bright smile.
The rest of the girls had various goals. Yui was looking to become a Psychic type expert, Kinoko was looking to be a grass/poison specialist as both a researcher and coordinator, Ibara was already training to become a Grass type specialist as well this time as a Coordinator and Showcase performer, Pony was a mixed type trainer and was looking become a pro before one day taking over her families Miltank farm.
Setsuna was a mixture of coordinator and trainer as well like Izumi however her team was most likely to be influenced by her love of old kaiju movies, finally Reiko was looking to take over her families Ghost type gym but she also liked the idea of performing in contests.
"So what Pokémon did you three wind up hatching?" Togake asked Izumi, Momo, and Ochacho.
"Hatching?" Pony asked, making Togake nod.
"This year the top fourteen were each given an egg to hatch and raise. That's why I was delayed by Vlad-sensei earlier." She explained before reaching towards the belt and grabbing one of the Pokéballs on her belt.
Soon a Sandshrew appeared before them who accepted a piece of fruit from their trainer. "I got this little girl." She motioned, making Izumi smiled as she knelt and started to sketch the little ground type.
"Wow a shiny Pokémon!" She called out noticing that instead of yellow and white the Pokémon was a more teal blue and white.
"Yep she's special all right!" Togake said with a smile. Momo smiled at the sheer wonderment that shone in Izumi's eyes before she spoke up.
"Well I hatched Toxica here." She said releasing her Croagunk.
"Kero!" Tsuyu called out in happiness as she moved to stand in front of the frog like Pokémon. The sudden signs of life made the other blink in confusion as they watched her play with Toxica.
"Um…" Tsuyu blinked and blushed as she heard Ochacho start to ask something. "Sorry…I love frog Pokémon." She said with a blush that just made the others think she was cute.
"Don't worry. All of us have our favorites." Toru said with a smile as the others nodded.
"Anyway. I hatched Queen." Ochacho explained as she released her female Nidoran. Togake chuckled at that. "A queen for my king." She joked referencing her first partner getting a giggle from Ochacho.
"And I hatched Allura." Izumi added releasing her Riolu partner once more.
"Oh wow! I never thought I'd see a Riolu!" Itsuka called out as she walked up and started to inspect the fighting type. "My father has been looking everywhere for one, but since they so rarely leave their native homes it's been rough going." She explained in happiness as Allura allowed the inspection to continue.
Izumi laughed happy to see the fighting type trainer look at her partner with joy while answering any questions that came about her health.
"Oh…sorry." Itsuka said after she was finished blushing as she had forgotten what they had been talking about.
"It's okay I get lost in thought when it comes to my sketches." Izumi said, waving off the slight embarrassment while smiling widely.
Nearby Momo felt a twitch in her cheek as she watched Izumi and the ginger member of class 1-B talking. "It's fine. They're just being friendly…nothing to get worked up about." She thought not noticing the slight change in her eyes that showed her real feelings.
Ochacho however did notice and filed away the sight for later reference…just in case.
"Anyway I wound up hatching this little guy." Itsuka said releasing a Mime Jr. who cheered and clapped once the light faded.
"Oh hello cutie." Izumi cooed as she picked up the Psychic/Fairy type and gently scratched him under the chin, purring like sounds.
"Aren't you just a bundle of joy?" She commented to the Mime Pokémon.
"You seem to know a lot about Mime Jr." Itsuka observed making Izumi chuckle.
"My mother raised a Mime Jr. that had been abandoned outside of the Pokémon Center she works at. She nicknamed him Mimmie and now that he's a Mr. Mime he tends to be her protector/helper. You could say I grew up with one of these little guys." She explained while continuing to cuddle the pink and blue Pokémon not noticing the impressed smile that came over Itsuka's face.
*Crack* Ochacho, Kyoka, and Toru jumped slightly at the sudden sound of something breaking, making them look to see a pair of chopsticks split in half in Momo's hands.
"Uh oh." They thought together.
"Do you also know much about these Pokémon?" The sudden question made everyone look to see Ibara with a Smoochum next to her.
Izumi gently set Mime Jr. down as she walked over unknowingly causing Momo to relax her grip.
"Phew…thank you Ibara." Ochacho whispered aloud reminding herself to give the vine hair-like girl a gift.
"First off she's in great health." Izumi said looking over the pink and beige Pokémon with a head of blond hair.
"Does she have Forewarn or Oblivious as an ability?" Izumi asked as she once more brought out her notebook and started sketching.
"Forewarn." Ibara replayed making Izumi nod as she continued to look over the little Kiss Pokémon.
"What moves does she know?" She asked while gently lifting one of Smoochum nub like arms.
"Lick, Pound, Powder Snow, and Copycat." Izumi paused and looked up at Ibara.
"Have you thought about teaching her other moves?" She questioned making Ibara sigh as she looked embarrassed.
"I…I wouldn't know where to even start. Honestly I've been around Grass types since I was a child. I know nothing about Ice types or their needs. I'm just lucky a local Nurse Joy was able to give me a few tips." She explained making Izumi nod.
"What Egg move does she have?" She asked Ibara.
"Ice Punch." Izumi nodded once more and continued to look over the little one.
"First off she is in good health but a little lacking in diversity." Izumi said, pulling out a pair of glasses that were green rimmed and seemed to make her look smarter.
"While she is an Ice type she's also a Psychic type which means she is going to have power that she needs to learn to control. I'd recommend teaching her Calm Mind first and foremost." She said as Ibara took out her phone and began typing the information down.
"I'd also recommend finding a few Occa Berries to carry around since they can be used to lower the effectiveness of Fire Type moves against a Pokémon. While also adding Rawst and Lum Berries to her diet since both will help her in the future build up a tolerance to fire-based effects." Ibara nodded as she typed this information out.
"Now as far as other moves go…Hail, and Water Pulse would be good places to start. Since she already knows Powder Snow she can access her ice type abilities meaning learning those types of moves will be easier for her.
You should also try and see if you can teach her Light Screen or Protect as basic defensive measures. That should be good as far as first steps go. I can make you a nutrient chart so you can see what other vitamins, and such might be best for your partner's health if you want?" Izumi finished making Ibara nod once more, making sure she had everything down.
The sound of clapping reached their ears making them all turn to see Recovery Girl walking close with a smile while another student followed.
She a third year from the look of her with short spiky light red hair with brown eyes and wearing a lab coat over her uniform. "Well said." Recovery Girl said.
"Oh Yuyu-senpai hello again." Ibara said, making the red head nod.
"Hello girls, who are your friends?"
"These are the students of Class 1-A. Girls, this is our RA Yuyu Haya who is interning with Recovery Girl to one day become a healer as well as a trainer." Itsuka explained and introduced making the girls bow.
"It's good to see you again, Midoriya-chan. I see the egg we gave you has hatched into a healthy Pokémon." Recovery Girl said, looking at Allura who was standing beside her trainer.
"Yes ma'am. I wanted to show your trust in me was not misplaced." She explained as Recovery Girl nodded.
"I also see you've had a hand in a few others." She motioned towards Queen and Toxica.
"Yes Izumi's has been a great help and even gave us training tips since neither Ochacho nor I have ever raised a poison type." Momo complimented making Izumi blush.
Recovery Girl chuckled once more. "Well then I look forward to seeing you at my Health and Nutrition lecture Miss. Midoriya." She said, making Izumi nod with a bright smile.
Once Recovery Girl and Yuyu moved on Mina asked a question all of them had in mind. "Can you also make up a nutrient chart for my partner?" She asked, getting nods and raised hands from the others, causing Izumi to smile brightly once more this time with her usual halo of light.
Nearby a few of the boys blinked at the sudden of the wholesome light. "I'm blind!" A blond hair boy with a black lightning bolt in his hair called as he tried to regain his vision.
"Can't…see…shit." A boy with a green mohawk called as he tried to wave his hands in front of his eyes.
"What is this angel that has landed before us?" Tokoyami asked as he tried to cover his face from the sudden brightness.
Katsuki just sat there with a pair of sunglasses on shaking his head. "Knew I was going to need these. Just didn't expect to need them so soon." He thought.
Nearby Shoto Todoroki looked at the group, a part of him wondering if the green haired girl was going to become his biggest competition in this school.
