Chapter Six

Mirio led the group of students outside to a field surrounded by trees, rocks, and three battlefields. "This is Club Dragonite's battle zones. Here we have sparring matches, and unofficial ranking matches constantly to improve ourselves." He explained to the first years.

"Choji…Shino you're up!" He told the pair of second years who nodded and moved up to a field.

"Since today is all about tryouts and placement we'll stick to just one field for now, but if time becomes an issue we'll start using the other two." He explained looking at Amajiki who took out his clipboard again while looking at a stopwatch that was around his neck.

Shino walked to the far side of the field while Choji stopped at the nearest box. Soon another student wearing a referee uniform joined them.

"Everyone this is an unofficial member named Minato he knows the ins and outs of the entire UA rule book so instead of battling himself he prefers to referee training matches." Mirio explained making the short haired boy bow to them before turning away.

"Also are our medical aids Yuyu and Hinata." He motioned over towards the red haired senpai who was once again wearing her white lab coat, while standing next to a blue haired girl with large pale eyes wearing a nursing outfit like Nurse Joy.

"They will be aiding us today by healing our Pokémon after each match to keep them healthy and us able to keep battling until Amajiki gathers all he needs for place settings." Mirio said before going quiet and focusing on the two students on the field.

Minato spoke up for the first time. "This will be a sparring match between Choji and Shino of the Dragonite Battle Club! This will be a one-on-one match with no items permitted! Battles are determined by knockout or surrendering of a Pokémon! Does everyone understand the rules?" Minato asked, getting nods from the pair.

"Trainers release you Pokémon!" He called raising a pair of flags into the air.

"Scolipede come forth!" Shino called throwing a Net Ball into the air that burst open revealing a large purple centipede Pokémon that growled in challenge.

"Gigalith let's rock!" Choji called releasing the Compression Pokémon.

"Damn this is going to be a hard match up for Shino-senpai." Izumi thought since Bug types had a weakness to Rock types.

"Begin!" Minato called out.

"Rock Tomb!" Choji called out making Gigalith cry out before rocks started to pile towards Scolipede.

"Use Agility to dodge!" Shino called out making his Scolipede glow slightly pink before it vanished avoiding the rocks that bit the spot where it had just been standing.

"Sunny Day!" Shino called once Scolipede was no longer in danger causing it to glow orange before they felt the area warm up substantially.

"Iron Defense!" Choji called, causing Gigalith to gain a silver like shine as it raised its defense.

"Solar Beam!" Shino called out, making Izumi nod. A grass type move that usually required time to build up would work since Sunny day cut that charge time in half.

Soon Scolipede launched a green colored beam at the Rock type Pokémon landing a direct hit however Gigalith barely seemed phased.

"Wow…that's one powerful Rock type." Kirishima commented getting a nod from Tetsutetsu.

"Rock Blast!" Choji, called as Gigalith , suddenly spat out round stones three times striking hits each time. Scolipede flinched slightly at the super effective attack.

"Dig!" Shino called out, making the large centipede nod before it dove into the ground.

"Now what is he going to do?" Izumi questioned internally as she watched Choji keep calm. A moment later the ground shook as Scolipede rose to attack.

"Now Protect!" Choji called out making Gigalith chime its name before a barrier appeared before it that Scolipede smashed into harshly.

"I get it!" Izumi called out, making the other first years look towards her.

"Choji-senpai prefers power to speed, but he also knows that sometimes you can't rely on power alone. So he trained his Pokémon to be able to tank heavy attacks as well as build up defense abilities in order to compensate lack of speed." She explained making the others nod after a moment while Amajiki looked at her before looking at a smiling Mirio.

"Told you she'd impress before the day was done." He whispered as they went back to the match.

"Now before it escapes, use Stone Edge!" Choji called out, making Gigalith cry out as one of its legs glowed white and struck Scolipede in the center mass. Scolipede fell back and tried to get up. A minute later it fainted to the ground.

"Scolipede is unable to continue, the winner is Gigalith!" Minato called out raising the flag near Choji. Choji smiled as he walked up and patted his partner.

"Good job old friend." He said getting a happy chirping sound from the Compression Pokémon. Shino sighed as he returned his partner.

"Bad luck honestly. Good luck going forward." Choji nodded before the pair walked over towards Yuyu and the healing machine she brought with her.

"Alright my turn!" Tsume called out as she rushed up taking Shino's place while Chojuro took Choji's.

"What's the prediction here?" Katsuki asked Izumi who shrugged.

"Chojuro-senpai mentioned that he preferred Water, Ice, or Steel types so until I see which one he chooses I couldn't say. Not to mention I don't know enough about Tsume-senpai and her battle style." She said, making him shrug.

"Release your Pokémon!" Minato called out.

"Cloyster I choose you!" Chojuro called out releasing the Bivalve Pokémon.

"Arcanine time to rumble!" Tsume called out before the large black and orange striped dog Pokémon appeared before her.

"Okay so Glasses might have the advantage here." Katsuki commented, making Izumi wave her hands in a so-so gesture.

"Based on observation alone I think Tsume-senpai may just surprise us." She said before Minato raised his flags.

"Begin!" He called as he lowered his flags.

"Extreme Speed!" Tsume called out causing Arcanine to vanish from sight before Cloyster cried out as it was slammed into from the front.

"Iron Defense!" Chojuro called out once Cloyster was once more on the ground.

"Agility!" Tsume, called as Cloyster , shone a metallic sheen around its body. Arcanine barked before gaining a pinkish purple glow.

"It seems like Tsume-senpai likes to favor hard hitting tactics that relay a good bit on speed." Izumi said as she brought out her notebook and started working.

"Razor Shell!" Chojuro called out as Cloyster glowed blue as a shell-like projectile launched from its body.

"While Chojuro-senpai seems focused on building up defense before attack…however…" She paused here as Tsume spoke up.

"Disrupt it with Howl!" She called making Arcanine nod before it planted its feet and gave a loud howl causing the projectile to bounce in the air from the soundwaves causing it to miss her.

``…he seems hesitant to actually try and confront his opponents." Izumi finished her thought.

"Thunder Fang!" Tsume called out, making Arcanine vanish once more before it bit down on Cloyster's shell with electricity cracking from its jaws. Cloyster cried out in pain at the move before it was tossed aside by Arcanine.

"That was a little…" Kirishima started only for Katsuki to pick up after he hesitated.

"Pathetic." He deadpanned as Minato called out Cloyster fainting.

"I'll admit…I was expecting a better fight from one of our senpai than that." Itsuka commented, looking a little worried about her wording.

"Don't worry." The first years looked towards Mirio who still had a smile on his face but it wasn't reaching his eyes anymore.

"Chojuro has always been a more analytical battler and doesn't really know how to handle passionate battlers like Tsume. He is however great at gathering data and helping Amajiki with the training programs. He knows he's not the best, so he doesn't put too much feeling into each loss." He explained.

"Again pathetic. If you can't put forth the effort and time, what are you doing here?" Katsuki pointed out making a few there nod in agreement at the blunt question. Mirio was about to answer when Amajiki called out to him.

"Mirio I'm going to forfeit I…"

"You do and I'll tell Nejire." Mirio simply said to his introverted friend who hesitated.

"Your choice. Battle me and be done with it…or have her constantly bother you for hours with questions as to why you refused to take part?" Mirio asked as he walked towards the field.

Amajiki looked to be internally debating the idea before walking forwards as well with a sigh.

"How the hell is he a third year?" Katsuki asked not understanding the meek nature of the elf eared senpai.

"We'll find out here." Izumi said, making him grunt in annoyance.

"Snake come out." Amajiki said in his same almost dead tone before a Steelix appeared before him.

"What the…?!" The first years collectively thought in surprise. With the introverted nature of the third year none of them expected to see one of his partners being the Iron Snake Pokémon.

"Alright, Thrust time to battle!" Mirio called out releasing a Hariyama who grunted as it thrust it arms out.

"Begin!" Minato called before he turned tail and ran to join with everyone else instead of sticking close.

"Uh…?" Kaminari started to ask but Amajiki interrupted the question.

"Slam." He simply ordered making Steelix roar before it suddenly moved with great speed surprising everyone as it charged.

"Force Palm!" Mirio called making Thrust nod as it launched its palms out to stop Snake.

The attacks met and caused a shockwave strong enough to blow back towards everyone in question causing them to cry out.

"Hoollly Craaaap!" Katsuki cried out as they were all buffered by the shock way causing dust and little rocks to fly around them.

Once the shockwave died down Kirishima and Tetsutetsu both looked windswept as they cried out together. "MANLY!" While everyone else looked at the pair of third years in shock.

"Dragon tail." Amajiki called making Snake turn its tail a purplish color before it slammed into Thrust sending it back towards Mirio.

"Now that's it! Power!" He cried out as Thrust rushed forwards his entire body glowing red as it struck Snake hard causing the Steelix to reel back in pain.

"That was Revenge!" Itsuka called out in eager energy as she watched the powerful fighting type strike the steel type.

"Now this is a battle!" Katsuki called out a manic smile on his face.

"Work up!" Mirio called out making Thrust nod as it gained an orange aura around itself.

"Screech." Amajiki called making those there cover their ears just as Snake released an earth-shattering shriek causing Thrust to flinch.

Mirio smiled before calling out. "Earthquake!" He shouted making Thrust nod before jumping into the air and slamming down onto the ground.

The sudden vibrations on the ground almost sent everyone to the ground.

"Whoa! This is nuts!" Kaminari called out as they wobble to and fro.

"Iron tail." Amajiki ordered making Snake nod before it slammed its white glowing tail into the ground instead of into Thrust.

When the fissures stopped Izumi looked at them with awe. "He used a steel attack to cancel out Earthquake! Amazing!" She called out as Katsuki looked eager as ever for his battle.

"Let's end this Mirio." Amajiki called over the field, making Mirio smirk.

"Lets!" He said before he seemed to dig his feet into the ground.

"Hyper Beam/Hyper Beam!" The pair ordered together.

"Oh crap…duck and cover!" Tsume ordered causing the second years to jump behind large boulders, each dragging a couple of the first years with them.

Both Pokémon glowed orange before launching our orange beams from their mouths or center masses that clashed in the center of the ring.

The shockwave was felt by all around them as they cried out as the area seemed to darken from the overwhelming power of the two third years.

"Come on Thrust Power!" Mirio called out as Amajiki stood there as the pair watched the beam struggle.

"Are we in some kind of Shonen Manga?!" Togake cried out as they all felt the blast.

"Probably if you look at them!" Izumi commented, pointing out that Kirishima, Tetsutetsu, and Katsuki were all peaking out cheering wildly for the battle with Tsume-senpai joining them.

"Battle crazy psychos!" Kaminari called out in despair.

"Power!" Mirio called out once more as Thrust seemed to take a breath and suddenly push even more power out into the attack.

The beam struggle carried on for a few more moments before Thrust eventually overpowered Snake and hit the Iron Snake Pokémon in the face causing it to cry out as it was sent flying in the air. Izumi watched with amazement as it landed with a great crash behind Amajiki causing the entire area to be buffered by a dust cloud.

"Not again!" The first years called out in their minds as they were once more covered by a great burst of wind and dust.

Once it seemed to die down the group looked up to see themselves inside a multicolored barrier.

"If I've said it once I'll say it many times." The group looked to see Yuyu-senpai standing there with a pink and purple floating Pokémon by her side. A Musharna if Izumi remembered right.

"Those two can't control themselves in the heat of battle." Yuyu-senpai groused.

"Thanks for the help senpai." Choji called out, making her nod.

"We should go see if those idiots buried themselves." She commented as the barrier moved, allowing the group to move from their hiding place.

Once they saw the field the group felt their jaws drop at the sight. The field was destroyed, and neither human, nor Pokémon from the last battle were in sight.

"OI! You two better be alive or else I'll sick Nejire on you both!" Yuyu-senpai called out.

A sudden shift in the ground made the group look as Thrust used Force Palm to remove the dirt covering both it and Mirio. While Snake dug its way out of the ground with Amajiki on its back.

"No need to sick her on us Yuyu-chan. We're alive." Mirio commented, making Yuyu snort in annoyance.

"Be that as it may…I'm using my authority as a Medical specialist to hereby disqualify you both." She commented, causing Mirio to lose his smile while Amajiki seemed to perk up.

"What why?!" Mirio called out in distress.

"We're not injured nor are our Pokémon beyond mild exhaustion?!" He called out looking a little like a child that had just been denied ice cream.

"Because I'm not about to let either of you battle against rookie trainers and possibly put them or their Pokémon in the medical wing!" She shouted at Mirio who flinched while Amajiki shrugged.

"Fine. We'll accept it. Besides I was going to just put us in first and second position anyway. This just saves me the time of starting a loser's bracket. Chojuro, Shino! Ro-sham-bo for who faces winner of the next match!" He called out making the Bug type and blue haired trainers looked towards one another and began shaking their fist.

"Seriously…" Katsuki deadpanned looking annoyed at being denied the chance of facing one of the third-year students.

"Look at it like this. If we don't face them now…we can challenge them to a full battle next tournament to have a full six-on-six." Izumi commented, making Katsuki raise an eyebrow before nodding once.

"Fine." He commented back.

"I win!" Chojuro called out making Amajiki nod as he brought up his Clipboard once more.

"Midoriya…Tokoyami you're up!" Mirio called out before motioning to one of the remaining fields.

Izumi nodded, running up to the far position while the tired looking Tokoyami took his place on the closer side. "Release your Pokémon!" Minato called out, making Izumi smile.

"Sunny, come on out!" She called as her Espeon partner appeared before her.

"Revel in the Darkness Murkrow!" Tokoyami called as his partner appeared before him.

"Begin!" Minato called out.

"Taunt!" Tokoyami called making the first move. Murkrow made a gesture with its wing causing Sunny to look annoyed.

"Calm mind!" Izumi called out making Sunny blink before closing his eyes and gaining a pink glow to his fur.

"Swift!" Izumi called out, making Sunny open his eyes before launching a stream of stars from his mouth towards the Dark/Flying type.

"Knock it away with Wing Attack!" Tokoyami, called as Murkrow , caused both wings to glow and start swinging away at the stars like a baseball player swings a bat.

"Wow they're good." Choji commented as he watched the pair of first years. "They did both score in the top fourteen of this year's group." Amajiki commented as he wrote on the clipboard.

"Air Cutter!" Tokoyami ordered making Murkrow nod as it flapped its wings creating two razor sharp looking discs of wind pressure aimed at Sunny.

"Use Swift to knock them out of the sky!" Izumi called as Sunny nodded and opened his mouth, launching two streams of stars that hit both disks destroying them.

"Assurance!" Tokoyami called making Murkrow glow a purplish color before a wave of energy charged towards Sunny.

"Protect!" Izumi called, causing Sunny to glow with a clear aura before a barrier appeared, stopping the attack.

"How is she going to overcome the type disadvantage though?" Chojuro asked. "So far she's been able to counter against him, but Espeon can only learn so many different moves. Not many are useful against Flying types." He commented, making Katsuki smirk.

"Just watch." He said with a smug tone.

"Dazzling Gleam!" Izumi called out making Tokoyami blink before a bright pink beam left Sunny's mouth striking Murkrow with a cry of pain.

"Deku knows that Sunny is weak to dark types. She trained him to handle such things while also preparing to face mixed types that can nullify some of the moves. Sunny knows a Fighting type move and a Ground move neither of which work on flying types. So she planned for a move that can work on them." Katsuki explained, still looking quite smug as his sister scored the first hit.

"Murkrow are you okay?!" Tokoyami asked in worry as his dark/flying type shook itself to regain focus.

"Krow!" It called back once ready.

"Wing Attack!" Tokoyami called out making Murkrow charge forward, both wings glowing with power.

"Quick Attack!" Izumi called making Sunny nod as his body glowed white and he rushed forward striking Murkrow against the forehead before it could swing its wings.

"Crow!" Murkrow called out as it was sent back bouncing slightly on the ground.

"Sucker Punch!" Tokoyami called out, causing Murkrow to move quickly and strike Sunny with a purple glowing wing. Sunny landed back shaking his head clear of the hit before gaining a glare on his face.

"Esp…!" He growled glowing a darker pink color around his body. "Huh?!" Izumi called out in confusion as she watched Sunny glow before the energy gathered in his mouth before launching a rainbow-colored beam striking Murkrow in the face.

"That's Psybeam!" Chojuro called out as Murkrow was sent head over kettle on the ground before landing in front of Tokoyami.

"Sunny…you learned a new move? Way to go!" Izumi called out making Sunny nod once with a huff.

Tokoyami looked at his partner. True the psychic type move wasn't very effective against his partner, but the suddenness of it had clearly sent the dark type reeling.

Tokoyami sighed before looking at Minato. "I surrender." He stated causing Izumi to blink this time as Minato nodded.

"Murkrow has surrendered the match the winner is Espeon!" He called out. Tokoyami returned his partner as Izumi did the same.

"Before you ask…Murkrow didn't have much left in him. That Psybeam from out of left field knocked him around pretty good along with that Dazzling Gleam earlier. If the battle continued I fear fate would have handed us a harsh defeat. Better to accept it and prepare for the next match…which I plan to win." He commented offering his hand making Izumi smirk towards him.

"You're on!" She called out shaking his hand.

"Next up is…Jiro and Yui." Amajiki said as the pair that had just battled moved towards Yuyu-senpai and her healing station.

The next few first-round matches seemed to run much smoother after that. Stereo the Noibat defeated Kirlia under Yui by sheer determination and a little luck.

Mira the Houndour overpowered Sparky the Pikachu although it hadn't stopped Kaminari from trying to banter with his opponent. Which Shinso either ignored or did know how to reply to.

Blaze made quick work of Tetsutetsu and his partner Aron. Itsuka and her Swak were able to defeat Togake and her Nidorino.

Now it came down to the final match of the round. The winner would take on Ibara and her Servine in the next round. Ochacho walked up looking a little nervous but also excited.

"Think she's got a chance?" Izumi and Katsuki looked over to see Shino-senpai had been the one to ask Choji-senpai.

"I don't know. Red over there…" He pointed towards Kirishima who walked up looking pumped.

"…is from Iwa and most likely has a Rock or Ground type. While I don't know anything about her beyond the fact she is also looking to dabble in being a coordinator. We'll just have to wait and see what she's got."

Izumi and Katsuki looked back at the battlefield. "Trainers release your Pokémon!" Minato called out, making the pair nod.

"Sturdy, let's rock!" Kirishima called out as he tossed a Heavy Ball releasing the Geodude Izumi had predicted he was paired with.

"Cutie, I choose you!" Ochacho called out as she released her Togepi.

"A Togepi?! What is she expecting to fight with that coordinators Pokémon?!" Tsume-senpai hissed in annoyance, making Izumi growl back at her.

"Maybe instead of mocking her you should wait and see what kind of trainer she is." Izumi stressed the word 'trainer' in her sentence.

Tsume looked at her with a raised eyebrow but before she could comment Mirio-senpai placed one of his large hands on the wild trainers' shoulders.

"She's right…give the first year a chance before you judge. If I remember correctly you still haven't defeated any of Nejire's Fairy types." He pointed out making Tsume flinch slightly at the dig.

"Yes senpai." She grumbled before looking back at the battlefield.

"Begin!" Minato called out.

"Alright pal let's get to work! Rock Polish!" Kirishima called out as Sturdy gleamed while his arms were held out.

"Damn starting off with a speed boost. I expected him to just try for something like Rollout to start." Katsuki commented, making Izumi shrug.

"Kirishima is very straight forward in his ideals, but we know nothing of his battle IQ. It's always best to wait and battle before making such theories." She commented back, getting a shrug in return.

"Sweet Kiss!" Ochacho called out making Cutie nod before a stream of pink lip marks rushed and struck Sturdy on the face causing it to gain a dizzy like expression.

"Nice!" Katsuki called out. Izumi nodded both knowing that Sweet Kiss was used to cause a confusion status effect in most Pokémon.

However before anything else could be said Sturdy took out a berry from his person it was yellowish pink and almost shaped like a Jalapeño.

"Ah…damn!" Izumi hissed as Sturdy ate the Persim Berry and shook off the confusion.

"Nice try Ocha-bro, but I know both Fairy types and Psychic types have a good chance of causing confusion. So I prepared!" Kirishima called out, making Ochacho smirk.

"Worried about facing me and Izumi huh?" She asked, getting a laugh.

"Considering both of you made it to the top fourteen…yep." He simply answered.

"So he takes the time to study his opponents beforehand? Smart." Izumi thought.

"Now back to business. Sturdy Rock Smash!" He called making the Geodude nod before it rushed forward and struck Cutie with the not very effective move.

"What was the point of that?" Kyoka asked. "Fairy types are resistant to Fighting type moves." She added.

"I think it's because Kirishima wants to gauge Cutie out." Izumi commented as Cutie hopped back onto his feet after being sent back by the attack.

"Most expect Fairy types to be cuter than battlers. I think he wants to gauge if this is true of Cutie." She commented, making Katsuki snort.

"Basically Shitty hair has a big heart and doesn't want to hurt the little guy if he's not a big fighter." He added in his own way since it seemed to clarify Izumi's words to a few.

"Try this! Ancient Power!" Ochacho called out, making Cutie raise his arms up before launching stone-like orbs hitting Sturdy while Cutie glowed around his body.

"Sturdy!" Kirishima called out in worry as his Geodude floated back before shaking off the effects before looking at Cutie with a smirk.

"Geo…DUDE!" He cried out before his entire body was enveloped in a white glow.

"What the…?!" A few called out in shock as Sturdy grew and became rockier and grew an extra set of arms. The glow continued until Sturdy drew his now four arms up and called out as the light faded.

"GRAVELER!" It called into the air as the new form was revealed.

"Well…crap!" Izumi muttered, making Katsuki nod.

"Whoa…" Kirishima said in sheer joy before he fumbled with his pockets before eventually pulling out a red and black electronic device.

A moment later a screen popped up from the back and an electric voice started speaking. "Graveler the Rock Pokémon and the evolved form of Geodude. This Pokémon makes its home on sheer cliff faces. It tumbles down slopes, heedless of any body parts that chip off." His Pokédex reported back to him.

"Sweet! Let's kick it into overdrive!" Kirishima called out. "Rock Throw!" He called out making Sturdy reach into the ground and grabbed a rock big enough to fit into two of his hands.

Sturdy threw the rock towards Cutie with a groan. "Use Psychic to stop it!" Ochacho called out making Cutie glow pinkish purple before the rock in question was halted in the air.

"Damn that's a big rock! Can the little guy handle that?!" Katsuki hissed in question to Izumi. The pair watched as Cutie looked to be struggling under the weight of the stone.

"Cutie!" Ochacho called out in worry at the sight.

"Okay…time to step in." Mirio-senpai commented, reaching for a ball on his belt. "Togepi!" Cutie called out as he struggled.

"Hang on buddy!" Izumi called out in worry as she reached for Sunny's Pokéball at the same time.

Cutie called out once more before the pink in his glow intensified and a whirlwind seemed to build up around his body.

"What?" Izumi internally questioned as the wind rose around Cutie and struck the bottom of the rock helping to lift it away and off to the side.

"That's not Psychic." Kaminari commented under his breath.

"TO…GE…PI!" Cutie called out before his body began to glow white as well. Soon his body elongated a bit, a pair of short wings grew from his back, and his feet grew out more before the light faded.

"Togetic!" Cutie called out in his newest form. "Wow…two evolutions in a single battle." Chojuro-senpai said in awe.

"Togetic the Happiness Pokémon and the evolved form of Togepi. This Pokémon is said to appear before kindly people to scatter a glowing down called joy dust. Upon Evolution this Pokémon has learned the move Fairy Wind!" Kirishima's Pokédex said since Ochacho didn't have one to use.

"Hell yeah! Do it spiky!" Katsuki called out with a fist pump as Cutie took to the sky. "Alright Cutie let's end this! Water Pulse!" Ochacho called out making Cutie nod as it glowed blue and sent out a ring of water towards the Rock/Ground dual type.

Sturdy cried out as it was hit by the super effective move as it flew back from the attack and landed before Kirishima. "You okay pal?!" He called out in shock. Sturdy took a moment to try and rise to his feet before falling back passing out. Kirishima sighed as he recalled his partner.

"Guess I should've prepared a little more." He commented while Ochacho celebrated as Cutie flew into her arms.

"Great job buddy! I'm so proud of you!" She called out in joy as she swung around with the adolescent staged Pokémon chirping in happiness right along with her.

"So much for a Coordinators Pokémon." Katsuki snarked to Tsume-senpai who just snorted in annoyance at his tone.

After the action packed first round matches the rest of the club tournament went smoothly. Choji and his Gigalith defeated Tsume and her Arcanine because she hadn't really trained against Rock types.

Choji was then told he would take a bye round this time making the older student nod in understanding.

Izumi had been able to defeat Chojuro since the elder student hadn't tried much different compared to his first match. Kyoka barely lost out since Mira the Houndour had Thunder Fang as an Egg Move and was able to beat the Flying part of the dual type.

Blaze defeated Itsuka also narrowly mainly, because Katsuki had taken the time to teach him a TM move called Aerial Ace to give him an advantage against Fighting types because of Allura.

Finally Ochacho surprised everyone when she had Cutie use Flamethrower right off the bat, the shock causing Ibara to freeze up and forget to order her Servine to avoid the attack.

"I'm going to make an executive order now." Amajiki said after the second round was over.

"Since all but one of the remaining challengers are at a disadvantage against Choji…I'm giving him the third spot of the six." He said, making the group at large nod.

"Next…I've decided to simply make the four of you members as well…however Uraraka and Bakugo need to battle to determine which of you will be the reservist." He said making both Izumi and Shinso blink at the knowledge.

"Why those two?" Kaminari asked.

"Because Midoriya has proven she has not only prepared to face off against Dark types, but Fire types as well so it would be redundant to have her battle anymore." Amajiki commented, making the electric type trainer nod along with the others there.

"Shinso has already shown he can manage rough challenges. While Bakugo is most likely to complain if he doesn't battle…" Katsuki shrugged in agreement, not bothered by the fact he was practically called hotheaded.

"…and Ochacho got lucky in her two matches." He pointed out making Ochacho flinch slightly at the blunt statement.

"Whichever one of you wins is on the team and the other will join the reserve team." He reminded the pair, making them nod before they turned to the field once more.

"Alright this will be the final match of the Dragonite Battle Club tournament! Trainers release your Pokémon!" Minato called out.

"Blaze burnout!" Katsuki called out as his Quilava partner appeared.

"Cutie, I choose you!" Togetic appeared before Ochacho. "Battle!" Minato called out.

"Smokescreen!" Katsuki called out, making Blaze open his mouth and launch out a plume of black smoke into the air. Blaze vanished from view in a moment later.

"Use Fairy Wind to clear it away!" Ochacho called out making a pink whirlwind spread out and blow the smoke away…revealing nothing.

"Where did he go?!" Kaminari asked in shock. Izumi shook her head. Togetic flew around looking around while Ochacho looked just as shocked.

"Now! Will-O-Wisp!" Katsuki called out, making Blaze appear from behind the rock that Cutie had thrown off earlier against Sturdy. Blaze launched a swirl of fire around Cutie causing the Flying/Fairy dual type to cry out as he became burned.

"Metronome!" Ochacho called out hoping for something good. Cutie waved his hands around before glowing orange and the sunlight grew harsher.

"Oh…crap." Ochacho hissed. "Oops…Sunny Day." Izumi thought with a slight flinch.

"Flame Wheel!" Katsuki called out, making Blaze cry out before he rushed forward spinning quickly.

"Prepare for the ouch…" Kaminari hissed as he looked away from the successful hit.

"Water Pulse!" Ochacho called out making Cutie glow blue.

"Protect!" Katsuki called out, making a clear barrier appear before Blaze.

"Aerial Ace!" He called out once the Water type attack ended. Blaze glowed looking like the wind was moving around him before he launched himself up and struck Cutie causing him to cry out.

"Fairy Wind!"

"Ember!" The pair of Trainers called out together before they clashed…only Ember used the Fairy attack to travel back up towards Cutie and struck true.

Cutie cried out in pain before he fell to the ground with swirls replacing his eyes.

"Togetic is unable to continue, Quilava is the winner!" Minato called out before lowering his flags and walking away.

"Then it's settled. Bakugo will be the sixth seat holder and Uraraka is on the reserve list." Amajiki said before marking down on his clipboard.

Since the tournament took place on Friday classes wouldn't start till Monday. Izumi had spent the time with her friends and had even visited the Puffball Coordinators club to gain membership, but they wouldn't hold placement tournaments since each contest was based on year not team.

Today on Sunday Izumi, Katsuki, and Kirishima were out gathering groceries for the dorm.

"We get everything?" Katsuki grumbled. He hadn't liked the idea of going shopping but knew it was needed from time to time.

"Looks like it. We even made sure to get the extra-large bag of sugar Sato asked for." Kirishima commented, motioning the large bag on his shoulder.

"Luckily, we also got a good deal…" Izumi started only to hesitate when she felt something crash into her leg.

She paused and looked down and saw that it wasn't a something…but a someone.

A little girl five maybe six, with white hair, red eyes, ragged clothing, and bandages covering her limbs. Izumi looked at her in shock while Katsuki and Kirishima looked in shock as well.

The little girl looked at Izumi before speaking in a little voice.

"Help me!"
