Danny awoke the next morning, spotting that Clara was sitting at the edge of the cave, sharpening her sword. He looks around and notices there were some more carrots, but with the sleep herb in them. He grabbed a few before walking up to Clara.

"I heard you wake up. The night was peaceful. None of my people found us." She said.

Danny sighs before handing a carrot to her. This time, Clara took it. Danny sat on a rock before eating his carrot.

"Clara, why did you decide to be a warrior? I heard of Centaurs being warriors by birth, but I was wondering if there was a reason for it." Danny asked.

"You are correct that Centaurs are warriors by birth. Lots of reasons why we exist were made. Not even my people know our true origins anymore. But I wanted to be a warrior because of my mother." Clara said, biting her carrot.

"Your mother was a warrior?" Danny asked, surprised.

"One of the best I was told. She slayed many beasts in her day. She was my hero." Clara said.

"Um, what about your father?" Danny asked, unsure.

Clara frown and growls. Danny could tell that something was wrong.

"Nevermind, forget I asked." He said, seeing it was a touchy subject.

"My mom was a great warrior, but my father?! AUGH! When I see him I'll cut his head clean off!" Clara shouted, stabbing her sword into the ground.

Danny flinch, quickly deciding to change the topic back to her mother.

"So, your mom? Besides being a warrior, what was she like?" He said, hoping this would calm her down.

Clara sighs, her face turning from anger to a mix of happiness and sadness.

"She was a great mother. If a little too controlling at times." She said, confusing Danny.

"Controlling?" He asked.

"I rather not talk about it," Clara said, sighing.

Danny figures that she had a rough childhood and decides to respect her wishes.

"You know, Clara. You don't have to come with me. I'm not going to stop you if you want to leave after getting me back to the class." He told her.

"Is this because I'm a Centaur?" She growls.

"No! No! I didn't mean that!" Danny said, waving his hands.

"Hmph!" She said, turning her nose up.

Danny groans, cursing his rotten luck.

"Look, I don't mean that. Have you ever wondered what people if think of you if they saw you? A myth proved real?" Danny asked.

Clara thought about it. Since Centaurs have been in hiding for centuries, many humans thought of the as a myth. Showing herself to humans might not be the best thing to do.

"I see your point." She said, blushing a bit.

Danny sighs, glad that she understood at least.

"DANNY!"

Both of them turned as they heard a voice.

"DANNY!"

"That sounds like Sam and Tucker," Danny said, surprised.

Clara gave it some thought before sighing. She trots over to Danny and grabs his arm.

"Get on. I'll get you there faster." She said, trying to fight another blush.

Danny blinks before she helped him climb on her back. Once Danny knew he was going to fall off, and resisting the urge to kick her sides, Clara gallop towards the voices. Danny had to grab her armor around her human waist to keep himself from falling off. Clara was pretty fast. Almost as fast as a train.

"Danny!" Sam called out, looking for her friend.

"Where is he?" Tucker asked.

"I don't know. Keep looking!" Sam said, worried.

"Mr. Foley, Ms. Manson. I understand you're worried, but please try to calm down." Mr. Lancer said.

"Calm down?! What if Danny's hurt?" Sam asked, making Mr. Lancer sigh.

"Sam! Cool it!" Valerie said, also worried about Danny.

"I'm sure Danny's fine. If he could put up with Dash's bullying, then I'm sure he's fine. Many a little bruise, but fine." She added.

"Which he's still in trouble." Mr. Lancer said, glaring at Dash, who flinch.

"I didn't do it on purpose!" Dash weakly said.

"And pushing Danny off a cliff was a JOKE?!" Sam yelled, wanting to beat Dash's head in.

"Really, Dash? I enjoy a good joke, but that was going too far!" A fellow A-Lister said.

"I didn't mean it!" Dash said, but no one listened.

"Danny!" Sam yelled again.

"Sam? Tucker?"

Both of them turn and saw Danny stepping out of the brushes, brushing some leaves off him.

"Danny!" His friends shouted, rushing up to him.

Danny was caught off guard when they hugged him, knocking him to the ground. Mr. Lancer sighs, glad to see that Danny was safe and unhurt.

"I'm glad to see you're all right, Mr. Fenton." He said, walking up.

"Yeah, sorry for the scare. I landed in a pool of water. I had to wait for my clothes to dry out so I can have a better chance of finding everyone. Took a little longer than I thought and had to sleep in a cave for the night." He said.

"Well, I'm glad you're unhurt. I called your parents yesterday, and they are coming to help us look for you, but now it seems that I need to tell them that's there no need." He said, walking away.

"Glad to see you're okay, Danny," Valerie said, walking up.

"Thanks, Valerie," Danny said, getting up.

Dash then walks up, grabbing Danny by his shirt.

"Well, I'm glad you're okay too! Now I can still pound my favorite punching bag!" Dash said.

Danny sighs, figuring that Dash would be back at it again.

"You do know you're in enough trouble already. And you can't get out of this one easily." Danny told him.

Dash growls, almost getting ready to punch him. However, Kwan walks up and grabbed his arm.

"What are you doing?" Dash asked, angry.

"Fenton is right, Dash. Just because Fenton is a geek, doesn't mean we can overlook what you did. " Kwan said.

"This is a big strike for you, Dash," Paulina said, walking up.

Soon all the A-Listers stood against Dash. Sighing, Dash dropped Danny, knowing he was outnumbered.

"You'll pay for this, Fenton," Dash said, walking away.

"As always," Danny said before looking at the brushes.

Clara was watching the whole thing, trying her hardest not to come stomping out of the brushes. She saw that the person Danny told her about was very unhonorable. And she hated unhonorable people! However, she was able to stop herself before she could take a hoof step forward. She then notices the two girls and the boy walking back up to him, looking happy to see him.

"Seriously, dude. You had us worried sick!" Tucker said.

"What happen to you?" Sam said.

"Guys, guys. I'm fine. Really. I did fall into a pool of water. I got the wind knocked out of a bit when I landed, but I was able to cough the water out." Danny said, shaking his head.

"Well, we did have to stop Sam from trying to find you during the night," Tucker said.

Sam frowns. She still thought that they could have been looking for Danny ever after night fell. But the forest was dangerous during the night, and it took both Tucker and Valerie to stop her.

"Well, you got to be hungry. After traveling through the forest like that." Sam said.

"Well, I could use something to munch on. Eating carrots can only do so much." Danny said, confusing his friends.

Clara watch them walk off, thinking that he was fine. She turned around, getting ready to walk back to her people. She took a hoof step before stopping. Why was stopping? What couldn't she move?

'I can't. I let him ride on me. Centaurs only let those they trust ride them. But I was trying to help him! I was completing my mission!' She thought before calling yesterday.

'He didn't blame me. He understood that he had no control over what happened when I made that wish. But I'm a warrior! He doesn't need me to protect him! I..I..'

Clara groans. She couldn't leave him. Not because she was in love or anything. Because she could stop thinking about the day trip she had with him. Groaning, she started to carefully follow Danny back to the cabins they were resting, wondering why she was doing this.

And Danny has been returned to his friends. Clara tried to leave, but she had grown attached to him during their trip and is not sure why. And there was no way I'm ending this here. Since I need more time to think about how Clara will relieve herself, I decided to leave it for later.

Now to answer anyone that wondering why I decide not to have lemons for this story. As you know, Centaurs are half-human/half-horse. While they made have an upper human body, they don't have all the parts of a human. Meaning, they breed like actually horses. So you can see my reason for having no lemon. But, as I stated before, if you guys/girls can change my mind, then I write one with Danny and Clara.
