Danny facepalm as Tucker and Sam stared at Clara in shock. Clara looked at the two before looking at Danny.
"Your friends?" She asked.
"Yeah," Danny said, dragging his down his face.
"Dude? Who or what is that?" Tucker asked, shocked.
"Remember when I told you about the warrior that helped me return back to you guys? This is her. Tucker, Sam, meet Clara. Clara these are my best friends, Sam and Tucker." Danny said.
"Wait, she's a Centaur?" Sam asked.
"Of course, I'm a Centaur! We're known throughout your kind legends!" Clara said, angry.
"Calm down, Clara. Remember you've been hiding for a long time." Danny said, trying to calm her down.
Clara took and breath before crossing her arms, which when under her huge breasts.
"Fine!" She said, looking away.
"Sorry about that, Clara is a warrior by heart," Danny said to his friends.
"Dude..." Tucker said, still staring.
"Can one of you snap him out of that? It's starting to annoy me." Clara asked, starting to feel uncomfortable with Tucker looking at her.
Danny sighs before nodding at Sam. Sam quickly slaps Tucker on the back of the head, snapping him out of his trace.
"Who, What, Where, Why?" Tucker said before rubbing his eyes.
"A real-life Centaur? I need to know if I'm dreaming. Someone pinch me." Tucker said.
Sam did just that.
"OW! Not that hard!" Tucker said, rubbing his arm.
"It was too good to pass up," Sam smirks.
Clara rolled her eyes. She could see how they were his friends alright.
"Clara, why are you here?" Danny asked her.
Clara looks away, trying to hide her blush.
"I told you I can't return to my people after betraying them for what I did," Clara said, thinking about her run over her.
She had no idea what she was thinking. She knew she couldn't return to her people. She didn't have anywhere else to go. She's still confused on why she even followed Danny to Amity Park in the first place!
"I just wanted to make sure you got h-h-home safely." She shutters as her face turned red.
"Are you okay? You didn't tire yourself out during the run here, did you?" Danny asked, worried.
"I'M FINE!" Clara said, turning away.
'Blast it! Why am I a nervous wreck around him?! I'm a warrior! I shouldn't be bothered by the fact that he's worried about me!'' She thought, angry at her herself while blushing.
Danny was still worried before he pull out a water bottle before holding it out to Clara.
"Even a warrior needs to keep her hydrated," Danny said.
Clara tries to fight another blush as she took the bottle while looking away. It was just like in the forest. Where he would try and share his food with her. Clara open the bottle before drinking the water, surprised on how fresh and cool it was.
"This taste like the water from my village." She said.
"Really? I never had the chance to drink it. Due to that fact, your people tied me up." Danny said.
"We saw you as a spy. Many of the men that we capture were peeping toms." Clara said.
"For crying out loud." Danny groans, facepalming again.
Tucker and Sam watched the two talk and how calm Danny was acting.
"Danny? Can we talk?" Sam said, making her friend turn to her.
"Sure? Excuse me, Clara." Danny said, walking over to his friends.
"Come on," Sam said, grabbing both Tucker's and Danny's arms before pulling them around the corner. Clara watch them leave with a confused look on her face.
Once Sam stopped, Danny pulls his arm away.
"Okay, what's the matter?" Danny asked.
"Danny, are you seriously believing that a real centaur?" Sam asked.
Danny sighs.
"Yes, Sam, she's real," He said, groaning.
"Are you sure?" Sam asked.
"Sam! Clara is a real-life centaur! Don't tell me you think it's two people in a horse suit!" Danny said, looking at her.
"Look, I can deal with ghosts. We've seen them all the time thanks to your parents. So forgive me for not being convinced that that is a real Centaur!" Sam said.
"I hate to say it, but I'm with Sam on this," Tucker said.
"Come on, guys. Did you really think I was making the whole thing up?" Danny asked, annoyed.
Both Sam and Tucker looked away, surprising Danny.
"You really THOUGHT I was making up the whole thing?" He asked, not believing they did.
"It just so far fetch, Danny. We not saying we didn't believe you, it's just..." Tucker tries to say.
"It's too unbelievable!" Sam said, getting to the point.
"And how am I unbelievable?"
Everyone turns and saw Clara before them, crossing her arms again.
"Did anyone tell you it rude to eardrop?" Sam asked, frowning.
"I'm part horse. Horses have good hearing. What? You think these ears are for show?" Clara asked, making them move a bit.
"Look, we can talk about this later, Clara, are you going to stay in Amity Park?" Danny said before asking the Centaur.
"Well, I don't have anywhere else to go," Clara said, blushing.
"Um, dude, two questions. How are we going to keep others from seeing her, and where is she going to stay?" Tucker asked.
"Not my place." Sam quickly said.
"Not my either," Tucker added.
"And you guys think it's a wise idea for my parents to meet her?" Danny asked, frowning.
Clara remembers what Danny told her in the forest about people freaking out when seeing her. It was also true that staying in town didn't sound like a good idea. Before anyone could speak up, a loud growl was heard.
Danny and Sam looked at Tucker, who shook his head.
"Wasn't me." He said before the growl was heard again.
Danny turns and saw that Clara was leading down, looking exhausted.
"Damn...I knew I should have packed some carrots." She said, sighing.
"Well, how about we get her something to eat, first?" Danny said, patting her side.
Clara was too hungry to blush but was able to nod.
"And where can we get her some food?" Sam asked.
Later, Nasty Burger,
Danny thanked the cashier as he carries two bags of salads out and headed towards the place where Clara and his friends were hiding. After making sure, no one saw him, Danny started to whisper.
"Coast is clear." He said.
Clara steps out, seeing the two bags in his hands.
"I got you some salad. Made from fresh food. The best in the world as Sam would say." Danny said.
"Darn right!" Sam said, walking out.
"Great, another one." Tucker groan.
"Here, Clara," Danny said, pulling out the first container.
She took it and open it. She smells the food and her stomach growled. Danny hand her a fork, and she started eating.
"MMMMM! You weren't kidding about them being fresh!" She said, smiling.
Sam smirks in victory as Tucker pouts.
"Still don't get the name, but this is tasty!" Clara said, still eating.
"Okay, I kind of like her," Sam said, still smirking.
Clara ate the first salad before Danny gave her the second one. He has never seen Clara smile before. He had to admit she looked cute when she smiles. Danny quickly shook that from his thoughts. He was just trying to be a friend to a centaur that was also a warrior.
"So, where are we going to hide her?" Sam asked.
"I'm still thinking on that," Danny said, unsure.
Clara shallows her food, thinking about it herself.
"Well, I was able to keep myself hidden when I followed you back here. I can keep myself hidden until I have to show up." She said.
Danny thought about it, recalling how well Clara hid herself when he was taken back to his class and how he sat her picking at a window.
"Are you sure? Amity Park isn't like a forest." Danny asked.
"I was five when I was trained to keep myself hidden. I'm sure I can keep myself hidden in a town." Clara said, acting like the proud warrior she was.
"What about your hooves?" Tucker asked.
"What was that?!" Clara growls, forcing him to back away.
"Easy, Clara, Tucker's got a point. None of the streets or sidewalks are made of grass and mud. And if you are wearing horseshoes, then walking around quietly isn't going to be easy." Danny told her.
Clara didn't have horseshoes, so it wasn't too hard to get her to walk quietly. But hiding what another story.
"I can take care of myself. I'll head out of town before sunrise to find a place to rest. Though, I have to ask why you'll out this late?" She said before looking at them.
"It's kind of hard to explain," Danny said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Clara waited for an answer before Danny's ghost sense appeared, surprising him.
"Oh no." He said, noticing Clara was giving a confused look.
"What was that?" She asked.
"Um," He tried to say, only to be interrupted.
Sorry to cut it off here guys, but I'm not sure which one of Danny's enemies should appear. Skulker and the Box Ghost are the most common answers, but I want to try and use someone different this time. Got any ideas?
As for the chapter itself, Sam and Tucker have met Clara and they are having a bit of trouble believing she's a real Centaur. Clara didn't pack any food with her, and Danny got some salad for her. As they were thinking over how they were going to keep her hidden, a ghost appeared. Once I get a ghost, I'll start the next chapter. Remember, I want someone besides Skulker and The Box Ghost.
Also, I plan on starting my Slime Girl story after New Year's. It's going to be called Echo the Slime, so keep an eye out for it. And Happy New Year, everyone!
