"Who? Temari? Are you fucking blind?" A black-haired man in a ponytail styled said. If you'll ask him what's the number one on his "I fucking hate list" is the girl named Temari. The second to his list is boiled egg.
"Yup! I'm sure, she's the one. I wanna ask her to be my date"
"Kiba, are you sick or something?"
"Why?"
"Have you seen her? She's crazy! I hate her"
"Yeah! I know, it's obvious that you hate her. Duh!" Kiba rolled his eyes.
"Speaking of the devil!" Shikamaru stands from his seat and positions the megaphone in his mouth "YOUUU! TOO SHORT! YOUR SKIRT IS TOO SHORT! ONE MORE WARNING AND YOU'LL GET SANCTIONED!"
The sandy blonde-haired girl walked in front of him while chewing bubblegum.
"The fuck did you say?"
"TOO SHORT!"
"Yeah, I know idiot! I mean, you said I'll get a sanction for wearing this?"
"Thanks for noticing the obvious!" He put down his megaphone when Temari stood in front of him.
"Read your manual again! Read it!" Temari raised an eyebrow while her arms crossed.
"2 inches above the knee are acceptable and allowed. That's more than 2 inches, woman!" Shikamaru raised the student manual and stated the dress code without looking at the page.
Temari grabbed the ruler from their table and showed it to Shikamaru. She displays a smirk while chewing her bubblegum.
"See? This is 2.75 inches dummy!"
"Wow! You're a genius Temari, that's still not 2 inches"
"Uh-hu, read it again or I'll read it for you? An acceptable length of 2 inches but not more than 3 inches is allowed for the dress code. This is 2.75 fucking inches; can you do math or have you really read the manual?"
"2 inches is the standard! Every girl student wears it exactly 2 inches above the knee"
"Yeah and? I still didn't violate the dress code"
"Well suit yourself, I hope you froze by exposing your legs on the campus"
"Thanks! boys do look forward to it by the way" She rolled her eyes and walked away from their spot.
Shikamaru crumpled the student manual in his anger. He turns around and sees Kiba laughing.
"See? I told you Kiba. She's difficult and helpless!"
"That's why I want her"
Shikamaru and Kiba are part of the student council. They're in their senior year and being part of the council gave them a big merit for their college submissions. They run last year to be part of the student council along with Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino. Fortunately, they won which secure them for their college applications. They did a great job in securing peace and order inside the campus, people really respected them. It motivates them to do their job even more, after hearing all their praises and claps.
Except for one, Temari.
In the school cafeteria, the Suna siblings are seated in their favorite spot. The siblings transferred to Konoha last year to attend high school. They had a big fight with one of the gangs inside Suna high school which made them expelled. Rasa also wanted them to stay away from Suna as they might encounter the gang again.
"What are you wearing Temari? Mocking the council again huh?" Gaara said while opening his juice.
"You look like a slut" Kankuro said while almost choking on his chocolate drink.
"Thanks! I'm actually planning to look like that"
"Hmm, Wow!" Kankuro flickers her widened eyes as he speaks.
"What are you planning Temari? Give those boys a rest" Gaara said
"Yeah, I don't think that'll happen!" she mockingly said.
"Yeah, she'll give them rest. Rest in peace" Kankuro jokingly said
Her brothers rolled their eyes, they know their sister. She's difficult as fuck, if she wants it, she will get it. Temari loathed the council so much, she wanted them to fail. She almost breaks the dress code, wears thick make-up, verbally abuses and does not give respect to the student council, chews bubblegum inside the school premises, loiters, and any other possible actions that might break the school rules. Nonetheless, she's smart, she did all these actions but she also makes sure that they didn't exceed to be categorized as a "violation" under the student's rules and regulations, written in their manual.
Last year, she runs for the student council, and she's the only girl candidate in the group. She pours her heart and soul into her campaign. She spent sleepless nights preparing her speech, making sure that she won. She wanted to win; she was obsessed with winning. Being chosen to be part of the student council will give them good merit for college submission. She's confident but her record was a little suspicious since their incident with the gang in Suna. She wanted to secure her future, to attend a good college.
On the stage, in front of all the students, ten candidates were seated. They will present their platforms to win their hearts and trust. Naruto, Sasuke, Shino, Kiba, Shikamaru, Temari, Sai, Suigetsu, Lee, and Shira were seated accordingly. Only five students will be chosen to be part of the student council, the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Adviser. Temari runs for Secretary. Her heart starts to pound as Sai was speaking, she was next in line. Temari was new to Konoha high school and it was not easy to capture their trust immediately. She wanted to prove that she could do so much and willing to serve them.
A roar of claps was heard after Sai's speech, she was next. Temari stands up from her seat and clears her throat.
"Good afternoon students. I am Temari Subakuno, attending my third year. Yeah, I know, I'm new to Konoha high but I—I will make sure that transparency and equality will be one of the priorities of this council. Voices will be heard; I'll listen to every student who needed help. So, they could feel that they were important and they were seen. I will do everything to gain your trust and I am willing to provide mine, in exchange. Being a student council in Konoha high is such a challenging task, how can an ex-Suna student will handle that huh? that could be probably running through your mind right now. Especially a girl student like me, I researched and found that this school has not yet had a girl in the council"
She turns around and looked at the other candidates, the boy candidates. She chuckles.
"That may be the reason why everything seems repetitive under their care. Students need a mother's touch; I am willing to provide mine. I think it's time to have a girl on the council, I promised that you'd feel changes, good changes under my care. I am looking forward to see you writing my name in your choices. Thank you and have a nice day, students"
She's proud of her speech, and much louder claps were heard after her statement. Everyone claps except one, Shikamaru. His face seems offended by her speech, he's next to present.
"Hi students, I'm Shikamaru Nara. You know me so I'll make it quick. You already saw my work at school, I'm not yet part of the student council but I performed well to make sure that this school functions. Being an adviser trainee to Kotetsu, our President really gained me an experience. Yeah uhm, about changes that someone said earlier"
He clears his throat, his face now visibly mocking her.
"The current student council officers are really doing a great job; they pour their heart and soul into it, providing good actions to you. I don't know about the mother's touch thing, that seems corny. Well, we need some strong hands, to make sure that everything is in line under the book. You need someone who knows Kohona High, has tenure, is experienced, and know every detail of this school. Not someone who just appeared this year. What do you say?"
A scream and whistles escaped from students' mouths along with loud claps. Shikamaru returned to his seat while grinning at her. Temari gasped, she was offended at what he said. Her hands start gripping her skirt, her eyebrows were now furrowed and her jaw clenched.
She still fought, until the very end. When the result came, five were chosen. Her name was not included.
She felt the pain and anger emerging inside of her. She lost, she never lost. Temari swore to hate them for the rest of her life. Her anger stirred more when the five students who won the election were laughing and celebrating inside the room, she hated them.
A/N: Hiiii, I got a new story. I actually plotted this one and might complete it with 15 chapters. I'll post soon for the next one, my goal is to post every week so stay tuned. :P I have free time every Sunday so I might write chapters that day. I'm also thinking to change the title, I don't know but let's see.
